  1. heres another thing wth win 7 for some reason obse/steam wasnt hooking with having a compatibility mode. who knows anymore. yeah its a security feature admin access blah etc./ problem is ppl use the compatibility modes to play the game and have it working. things like these make me sigh* theres someone out there frustrated to death. well if thats someone outthere disable ur compatibility, restart steam. pray.
  2. hi i see a lot of people having problems with OBSE and steam as many people have upgraded moved on to new systems. Alright Obse now doesnt need the old steam loader from the steamforums as it will startup when the Steam community activates in game. But heres the problem many people looking for help arent getting help because everyones saying the same thing, some people are flaming people looking for help thinking they cant follow directions. I had this same issue searched for hours and read through crap. Im posting this so that others who need help can get a real solution/workaround. if you see someone who has a similar problem as i have posted on another forum please help them out also. thanks. The real issue is that the Steam community even if checked in steam isnt working in Oblivion specifically for many people. Why this is? We have no ideaa. Whats the work around? Download OBSE v17 use the old steam loader exe from the steampowered forums. wallah. for the old obse versions google archives + obese or search for v17,v17b,v17a downloads. Edit: also. steam community wont work if you have admin access only or have a special setting in a exe's properties. which is pretty hard on some people... why? because they run in compatibility mode so they dont crash, but their compatibility mode is preventing them from having obse working and obse working properly helps people not crash with their mods installed in general.
  3. Hey yall im looking for some help or answers as to whats wrong with my Oblivion. I used to play on my amdx2 2.4ghz + 4870+ 4gbs of ddr2 vista64bit setup. i recently decided to go with win7 64 so i made a new comp and build to take advantage of usb3 also. anywho. my setup is as follows. 12gbs ddr3, amd rana 3ghz. radeon 5570, pretty clean ol 1tb sata 3gbs. Now this is my issue. I had tested my 5770 in my old comp which i played oblivion. it looked fine dandy and great just like it looked when i had my 4870 in. So now i build new comp, shove in my 5770 start oblivion. i dont know why it wants to set everything to low but anywho i set it all to high and max'd everything. I make shure hdr is one. i play the game The walls look like white everything is a bright fuzzy haze. what is going on? HDR used to be so beautiful.. like in the oblivion realm the rocks and everything had this ultra high detailed look and light bounced off it.. it looked realistic. Now my HDR looks like white foggy CRAP! HELP.

The idea is that Dogmeat can use guns! how about a turret like thing on his back or a robotic hand on his back that fires and dogmeat wears a brain helmet or something. have it as an item that dogmeat equips or unequips? or even better sidemouted wings so that dogmeat can shoot missles and stuff... i love dogmeat. It would be awesome to have him have armor like Rush from megaman or something that allows him to use guns. To go along with this would have to be some sort of ai that makes him shoot from a distance instead of melle'n o_O id love to see dogmeat shooting an ak at a megamutuant instead of charging it and dying. I think a dogmeat turret is a great idea! I would like to see something like this. if this mod has been created please tell me, id love to download it i been searching around and havent found anything like it. If this request has been posted before i apologize I did search in advance.
  5. i wanna apologize ahead of time if there's already a forum up with this. search brings up a lot of forums and i don't exactly see what i am looking for or i get confused. hey yall i been making some custom summons and my own npcs. Now i understand how to make a summon spell for myself. but what do i have to change if i want to make a summon spell for a NPC? if i just give my summon spell i made for me based from: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...moned_Creatures to a npc. will it work? or will the creature be summoned to me or? whats gonna happen. the script does say player but maybe i dont understand all the scripting language that great. im worried that the spell will make the npc summon something on me.. lol if theres a guide how to make a summon spell for a npc and also changing a npc's summon limit, please let me know. it would be apprciated. i am sorry ahead of the time if the resource is somewhere easy to see but i been searching tes cs to no avail and when i google i get odd forums not really on topic

K i updated to show what i wish really. heres two characters i made to showcase. its just some vid and footage of em. ignore whatever its about and just focus on the fact that they look freakin hot with glasses on. i wish theyd keep em on. Arilina Celia. i have some other custom npcs but they seem to keep on what i ask for some reason. yeah i tried enchanting the glasses also in hopes that theyd keep it on also to no avail.

Arg yeah man... haha using share of any type with a npc when u use equipitem baseid 1 and then when u share definitely makes you freeze burn n crash. arrrg. sigh at this point i memoriezed the equipitem base id's just for two of my custom toons. sucks having to console everytime we load somewhere. the take em off even tho amulet slot is not taken. is this because npcs wont eqip both amu and tail? my toon equips em. when i use the command they equip em. i just dont get it. as far as the sleeping part goes. yeah i leave em a dress or somfin and i made a script for em to unequip armor and they of course equip a cloth so they sleep in that. also made some scripts for em to take of their armor now and then for various things. just wish theyd keep on their glasses... hahahaha. yep thats one of my issues. anywho ill post my companions in a bit to show yall why and what im doing. so far, i figure right now ill just make my current companion mod i made have a dependancy on another item mod. ill write a script for them to find and hopefully equip the item regularly that should work at least half the time they might wear some of the items! haha. ill post em up in a second. as far as other ppl looking my request still stands cuz ya gotta go through all that just to get a npc to keep somfin on that you want em to. so my base points are still there. i guess itd have to be a npc script adder which tells em to equip stuff and would tell them to equip when loading too. oye thats giving me a headache. ill just update and post my toons i been working on.
  8. thanks for your responses guys. i appreciate it but the whole luminocity saturation and hue thing confuses me and also usually when i just pick a color it looks plan in the construction set. I like the black and dark brown and satin blond, in game with hdr when im in the oblivion realm with my toons. they look absolutely beautiful like they have different colored strands. im scared of using a plain color n it looks like garbage. haha but then again i should trial and error i can always edit my npcs. the game wont crash if the hue saturation or luminosity are weird right? thats one thing that scares me. i dont know how they should be set or if even if they should be messed with at all. do they affect the game? how do they affect the game what do they do?
  9. or any links with pictures to other unique hair color color code numbers would be greatly appreciated. i apologize i been up all day making companions for myself and two friends. also am now starting up on making my own quest for them and doing tons of reading. Ok i ofund this chart oblivion dark brown rgb http://web.njit.edu/~kevin/rgb.txt.html but i dont know the luminosity hue saturation to use for the hair. i really just want it to look like the ingames default. dark brown light grey and oblivion black hair colors from the preset colors. Why>? because when i play with full hdr the hair is so shiny n doesnt look one color. i find that amazing!
  10. i want to ask if anyone has this Posted anywhere. I want to Apologize if someone searches and finds this already posted. i have searched and tried most relevant and most recent for Hair tint codes or maybe i am not using the right wording. Ok onto my story. i am making some Cm companions. that said i have been importing some faces and such from save games of mine and other things. i understand how to import facial geometry and texture. Now the deal is i dont understand Hair color codes. the codes I am looking for are Oblivion style black and Dark Brown. unlike when you create a character in game when i use the TES construction set to set hair color i have to choose from a limited color menu and the whole R G B scheme. To make it short and sweet i am looking for the tint codes for bright grey DarkBrown and oblivion black and the rest of the like actually. basically the preset oblivion color codes. Im hoping that the colors are oblivion default. if not the mods i use are these. Corean, Rens beauty, Chocolate Elves. if have google searched and searched here, once again I apologize if i just missed some simply already posted forum in here. i have been searching and maybe Im pretty shure i cant find the right wording. The wording i been using is hair color codes hair color tin hairtint code. If you could provide me what i need to make the default oblivion hair schemes i would appreciate it. and if those hair color schemes came from the mods then well i would ask for a way to find the hair tint codes/numbers. i need the hue saturation Luminosity r g b. thankyou for your time.
  11. hey thanks for your response man :) I didnt know you had to add a 1!!! ill see if this makes a difference. Currently i do this. i find the base id by dropping it and using a form id base id finder. its a spell n puts the ids in console so i can read. i then give it to the npc and force them to equip it with equipitem "baseid" usually the npc will wear it. but then outta no where the npc will unequip it for no reason which i find annoying. haha. Now this part i got down. I just find it a bit annoying to constantly type lol. I understand Obse ,mods out there do wonderful things n scripts. Was hoping someone would make a mod or a mod exist that i can just drop in on the floor hotkey n make a npc equip somfin. I do Alot of Machinima and sometimes it just gets a lil tedious typing and switching clothes. anywho thankyou your advice is rock solid standalone! very helpful. I had nooooo idea about adding the One. hahahah. ill update this when i try it. Thankyou verymuch

Edit: i have edited the main post to not sound rude. i do not mean to offend anyone. i have been on other forums including the one you got your rules from and have gotten some pretty much... responses from people who do not read the whole post at all or understand what im saying no matter how much detail or great of a TLDR. i realize my sarcasm was uneeded. I apologize. Thankyou for your response. You first part is uneeded greatly uneeded. I found a program known as Form Id finder 31_beta. This helps greatly. ref scope is also the same thing i believe. Thankyou for your help for my second part/request on form id/base ids.Ill update this as i read the rest of the post and look@ what u suggested more. #1 I am always thankful to the modders who make mods. i was not trying to be rude. i listed scenarios for ppl who dont read post and just give a random answers. i've gotten a few before. haha. with that as that, thankyou for your response it was actually useful and i felt you read my post.
  13. what im trying to do is find base Id's in game u know for actor and maybe some custom items. I have to search the Contruction set everytime i want to bring up a custom item. which is a hassle in and of itself. is there anyway i can see a npc or object's base id ingame? is there a mod or script extension or something? without using the construction set? anyhelp would be appreciated thankyou. when you use the console n click on something that the form id. some console commands can use the form id some need only the base id as a ref. i need a way to find base id's with ease of acess instead of brining up the tes construction set everytime and searching for it for... God knows how long of a waste of time.
  14. if none of this is feesable then the least i would ask for is a way to SEE BASE id's ingame with the console open. PLZ. Thankyou. what u see in console is the formid. means u cant use that code to do anything that only works with base id. theres so many damn items and looking in TES and waiting for it to load and playing oblivion at the same time? its not pretty.
