Hello Nexus peeps. I've been experiencing a lot of mouse lag that only seems to happen in areas where the game renders lots of objects and large buildings. The game sensitivity feels like it drops in these areas to the point where I can barely move the crosshair around to look around. It'll happen if I'm maintaining 60 fps or drops into the 50's, the fps drops just make it a little worse. If I go into an interior cell or an area where there isn't nearly as much to render, the problem goes away. The sensitivity feels smooth and fluid. I know it has something to do with the game rendering objects, when approaching these areas sometimes my in game mouse movement will literally stutter and stop when I pan over a zone of lots of objects being rendered. This started happening after I installed a new graphics card. Before I was running a gtx 760 4gb(now a 1060) and experienced large fps drops in these same areas along with some input lag with the 760, but the sensitivity did not change regardless of how much the fps was dropping. The 1060 maintains a much higher frame rate average but has twice the amount of input lag I was experiencing before, even with a solid 60 fps. I've tried every stuttering fix that I could find and only borderless window mode and capping the fps at 58 with enboost seem to lessen the effects. Also did fresh install of drivers and wiped the old ones and disabled mouse acceleration in the ini. My mod list is fairly large but pretty basic, just texture changes, weapons and armor, weather mods and bug fixes mostly. Has anyone else ever had this kind of mouse lag before? It makes combat and exploring feel very awkward. My specs i5 3570k oc'd to 4.2 8gb of ram gtx 1060 6gb windows 7

I use Lorkhans Night Sky v2. I'm pretty positive the glitch is unlrelated to the texture replacement but frequently the game loads the wrong texture for the night sky and loads some kind of texture that has cracks in it for the ground instead. Sometimes it loads properly, could it be weather related and there's a conflict with the particular weather the game is loading?

Ulfric's successor if he were to die as High King
jordanLoL replied to PCGamer5's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
If there is no direct heir then a moot has to be called. From there the Jarls vote to determine who they support as High King. -
Why Ulfric was right to kill the High King
jordanLoL replied to SubjectProphet's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
The Trial by combat is meant to depose the High King and his family. As I've said elsewhere, you don't duel a High King for his throne just so his wife or his sons or whoever else in the line of ascension can take it. There is no point in it and these duels NEVER would have been created to serve that purpose. If that purpose needs to be had, a simple and clear assassination is in order. Not a trial by combat. I don't see where the High King's death = The High Queen has a claim to his throne. And no, by tradition the Jarl of Solitude doesn't just become High King. Nor does the Jarl of Windhelm. That is a concept created by the Empire installing puppet kings. ITP: There isn't an impending Moot and much of the Civil War questlines aren't devoted to building up your chosen claimants claim to the throne. What are you, 7 or something? my question was legitimate, if ulfric had a real claim to the throne, The elisif would not be the Jarl of Solitude either...Becaus he also killed the Jarl of Solitude in a duel (Torygg was not just high king) :wallbash: why do you guys think Ulfric is trying to Replace the other Jarls, or the empire? it is because they know the other side is holding their leader back. If the other Jarls agree with the candidate, it validates their claim and invalidates the other one's, pure and simple. that is why Ulfric started the Civil war, Tradition did not give him the throne because a majority of the Jarls belong to the empire and as such believe that Elisif is the rightful high queen. Elisif is not high queen because of Ulfric and his "tradition" converting some of the Jarls to his side. tradition does not matter if the Jarls agree with someone else as it is stated in Skyrim's rule "if there is no heir, a moot is convened to choose the next one" it does not matter if he has tradition, if the other Jarls side with Elisif he is thrown to the back of the line, again. it is all about the Jarls, not tradition, because if s, the Elisif would have no claim whatsoever, but she does so what does Ulfric's "tradition" mean if the majority of the Jarls do not agree with him in the first place. Ulfric has to play that way because the Empire is doing exactly the same thing. Do you really believe the Empire will allow a High King to be elected that they can't fully manipulate? With Skyrim being torn and an impending Thalmor threat, they don't really have any other option. -
Which option do i choose when a mod has update?

It's not a bug, you're supposed to click no if you want to overwrite and update. -

Both should be selected. Selecting no makes the update/mod you wish to install overwrite or add the needed files. -
Steam is just trying to "consolize" the PC experience. They may have saved PC gaming, but they are turning it into something most old school PC gamers never want to see. It's being streamlined for the lowest lowest common denominator aka less tech savvy people. Newer games themselves are adding more and more mindless mechanics that make it easier for everyone. Take Skyrim for example, it was streamlined for people who would have been intimidated by Morrowind and even Oblivion. Fans of The Legend of Zelda saw this happen as well, Skyward Sword seemed to try and hold your hand through EVERY single obstacle. Why are game developers targeting people who want games to be simple and easy? I'm not asking for extreme challenges, but the new trend in games seems to be click here to win. I have honestly not felt truly challenged in vanilla Skyrim or in newer games. Sadly, the reason for all of this is pretty obvious. In the famous words of the Wu-Tang Clan, "CASH RULES EVERYTHING AROUND ME, C.R.E.A.M. GET THE MONEY, DOLLAR DOLLAR BILL Y'ALL".

Why Ulfric was right to kill the High King
jordanLoL replied to SubjectProphet's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
i disagree, i think Balgruuf would be a better high king then Ulric, he's not indecisive (he justs likes to look at the possibility and their consequences before doing something hasty.) As for being fearful (i call it paroinia) it keeps a jarl alive and alert. Balgruuf would make a good high king. However, his stance with the Imperials does not sit right with me. He accepts the perks and benefits from the Imperials while they allow the Thalmor to kill and torture worshipers of Talos, which makes up a pretty big portion of Skyrim. This would not stop if he was elected high king, Ulfric would probably send patrols of his own to make sure there aren't any Thalmor left. But there's another thread to debate about that subject. -
not saying that at all, just saying that in some cases, Giving up some rights is better than forcing hundreds/thousands of civilians to give up their lives to protect those freedoms, like when the cost of the war is too high to justify the reward of keeping it. That may be the Imperial way, but not the Nord way.

Why Ulfric was right to kill the High King
jordanLoL replied to SubjectProphet's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Under Nord tradition, Ulfric did not commit a crime. So naturally those that do not fully understand old Nord traditions would cry foul on the spot, especially when The High King is involved. Ulfric may lust for the Throne but who else in Skyrim is better fit to lead? Torygg, who failed in defending himself? The young and inexperienced Elisif? The indecisive and fearful Balgruuf? Ulfric is the only Jarl in Skyrim that is fit to lead, and does not seem to fear the current events. Meanwhile, The Thalmor are openly killing and torturing believed worshipers of Talos, The Empire is rotting from the inside out, and the Dragons along with The World Eater have returned. Based on the current situation in Skyrim, Ulfric's actions are not condemning. He did use a shout in combat though, which is considered to be naughty, unless you're Dragonborn. However, speaking to Ulfric about the incident reveals that he still believes the Thu'um should not be used lightly. Skyrim needs a true leader, not someone that just makes educated decisions. A true leader that will act, will ultimately be the best solution for Skyrim. -
Thalmor presence after Stormcloak victory?
jordanLoL replied to kevkiev's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Interesting, one of the only times where your actions actually have real consequences. Maybe someone can come up with a mod to completely remove the Thalmor from their establishments after a Stormcloak victory. It would have been nice if Bethesda pushed the release date back until spring 2012. Maybe then our actions would have actually had an impact in the world. -
Your memorable nonquest/nonscripted stories
jordanLoL replied to thesapien's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Actually, it was Ysgramor and The Five Hundred Companions that decimated the Snow Elves. The elves had it coming too, they went on numerous raids killing the Nedes that had traveled from Atmora to Skyrim. Ysgramor and the Nedes seeked nothing but peace and knowledge in the beginning. They didn't deserve what their race ended up becoming though. The Companions were brutal and the Dwemer were extremely cruel sadly. -
Besides the new animations and camera movement/shake the combat feels exactly the same as Oblivion's, very floaty and outdated. So no, I don't exactly like Skyrim's combat. Sadly, the combat is a result of the game's engine. The Creation Engine is just a modified Gamebryo Engine with some new shaders.

Not sure if this is working right for me either. FXAA for me does a better job at smoothing out edges, but blurs the image. SMAA on the other hand seems to only smooth some edges for me.

Yes, that's how Bethesda has released DLC's in the past. It was no different than installing a mod. Maybe this time they'll require you to activate it on Steam before you can play. Now that they have Steam Workshop I can see that happening.
