I have been informed that since only a few people out of millions of users have complained, everyone not talking must approve the design. Well congratulations, you have gotten me, an eternal lurker, to post. The new UI is simply that bad. Anyways, here are my thoughts: Please give users the option to have a more compact view and set their own background. Despite being an update aimed at upgrading accessibility, it has made the site far worse to navigate for the majority of users since I know have to scroll an absurd amount to see what used to instantly pop up on a new tab. I have also seen comments by the staff about improving the site for mobile and other uses. That's cool, but don't design your MODDING website around mobile and screenshots to the detriment of actual modding. If you want to ease content discovery it would be much better to improve the respective collections, media, and the mobile site, without touching the main page on the PC. Right now, the main page works well for nobody, because it is cluttered with all sorts of different content, but only shows 2-3 pieces of any given type. If you want, you could even make a separate site that is more focused on non-modding content. If this sounds unrealistic because you don't think there would be enough demand for an entire separate site just for screenshots and community content, then why are altering the main site to appeal to such content? Anyways, that's my rant, have a good night now.
