  1. Yeah, you're right, i start with a healing spell, however, because im not chosing Restoration as a Major Skill, the healing spell is removed upon leaving the sewers. It takes around 4K gold to get the healing spell and buy the candles for the Frostcrag Spire alter, the problem is getting the 4K gold without healing spells and / or using console commands. Thanks for the idea though, very much appreciated. The levelling mod is to slow down advancement through levels, the choice of skills is to slow it further. From the Original SP Readme: 'The default two starting spells are disabled on new games unless you have a major skill in restoration or destruction. Once again the ini can modify these changes or disable them all together.' So, theres definitely a way to do it, but i just cant figure out how and need a little help with it. Thanks again.
  2. Hiya all, ive just installed the latest Supreme Magicka (90b), and what an awsome mod it looks like, however, im having issues with something that i cant seem to find an answer to anywhere on the internet: According to the readme, i can apparently modify the .ini file so that if i start the game with a new charcter that doesnt have Restoration as one of the Major Skills, i will still have the basic lowest restoration spell )which unfortunately cant be bought anywhere and the next one up requires a restoration skill of 25). However, i cannot seem to find this setting anywhere in the ini file. I've checked both the oblivion.ini and suprememagicka.ini. I've done text searches for 'restoration', 'restore', 'rest' and cant seem to find anything that appears as if this would fix my problem, so rather than starting to change values and messing up my game, i thought the sensible thing to do would be to ask here. So, the SP readme tells me i can do this, but doesnt give me any clue as to how. If anyone has managed to do this or can help me out by telling me how, it would be much appreciated. Oh, and the reason i would like to do it this way... change the .ini file that is, is because of the way that i play... Oblivion being such a huge game, i want to explore everywhere and not get to a high level any time soon, so i make custom classes and pick 7 major skills that i would rarely use to slow down levelling, that with a mod to give me 5 times less exp and another awsome auto level mod so that i dont have to micro manage anything and can just set off on my liesurely way make the game very appealing to me. If it makes any difference, the mod was installed using OBMM. So any help would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance.
  3. Thankyou both, i reposted in the correct forum (here) and asked an admin to delete the other one. However, i think i 'might' have found the culprit... I figured theres no way its the graphics considering what i run on this machine, so i tried disabling the voice mod, after that didnt work my train of thought went: graphics, thats not it... sound, maybe... crates, less messy things lying around like barrel tops... AHAAAA!, physics. I loaded a new imperial market, untouched, ran fine. I then opened crates and found that they dont actually stop moving, maybe cos the meshes overlap each other and still act upon each other because theyre overlapping. Anyways, i disabled the havock crates and my fps shot back up to where it should be. I guess its a problem with the mod... it looks like if something is using the havock rules yet intersecting another object (ie itself), it cant actually come to rest, open a few of those and thats a hell of a lot of physics your machines tring to cope with. But, thanks for the fast replies, ideas and not giving me grief for posting in the wrong place. Thanks again, MarkinMKUK and MShoap13
  4. I recently installed Oblivion again and im experiencing some problems. I can run the game almost perfectly with minimal stuttering at 1680x1050 absolutely anywhere, however, once i enter the imperial city, i was finding that my frame rate was dropping from 40+ to around 5-10 fps. All mods are installed with OBMM (appart from high res textures, they were done manually and before any mods so that mods could overwrite them if needed). I can only assume that the problem is related to my load order since i tried to rectify the problem. I used BOSS to make the load order more efficient in the hope that everything would be fixed and i could get back to some serious gaming, however, i found that after using BOSS, my frame rate had dropped to under 1 fps (even when dropping the resolution down to 640x480). As soon as i 'zone' into a building or out of the imperial city market, its all running perfect again. The lag is also only in the market area, nowhere else, ive found all the other zones to be running nicely. So far, ive literally spent 4 days installing, uninstalling, shredding remnants of the game, reinstalling, adding mods, playing with load order, making notes, reading readme's, head scratching, loading, swearing, exiting the game, disabling mods one at a time, reenabling them, more swearing and repeating. I know that the problem is definitely not hardware related as i have a dual core 2.8 Ghz processor, 4 Gigs od DDR3 ram and a 1 Gig GDDR5 graphics card. So, im really hoping someone here could take a look at my load order and please help me out. Im also fairly new to modding, so if anyone can actually help, it would be great to explain it like youre talking to an idiot. Thanks. Im also guessing that this current load order is also a bit messed up, since it looks nothing like the order it sould be in from what ive read in the limited readme's. Ill post the load order again, once i have it how i think it should be and as close as i can get to how it was running at around 10 fps once i wake up, since its now almost 06:00 and ive been trying to get this whole thing working for nearly 24 hours. Thanks in advance, a really HUGE THANKS for any help left here when i wake up.
  5. Sorry, that tired, i just realised i posted in the wrong forum, trying to figure out how to delete.
  6. Perfect, thanks very much. Really appreciated.
  7. Hi, I'm having problems with mods I'm trying to make. Specifically the same problem in every mod... I'm trying to make alternative homes however no matter what I try, when I enter the homes my companions get stuck in the walls. Could someone please explain to me what I need to do, step by step after building the home and placing all the objects. The reason I need a step by step explanation and not links to other sites with tutorials (a link to another page on this site though, I can probably load up within 10th mins) or vids is because I have no internet for a month (im using my phone to type this with a very bad signal, if I move it, I lose signal... its taken me around 4 hours just to check the posts here from the beginning of November). Thank you very much in advance!
