Razorwires Portable Gadgets
sykoholic001 replied to SirDanest's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
They wouldn't happen to have Razorwire's "Jimmy Hats Vending Machines" mod too, would they? -
Is there a mod that removes the neck cover from the Stormchaser Hat and Motorcycle Helmet?

Single sleeved Tunnel Snake jacket.
sykoholic001 replied to MikhailPetrenko's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
You could just turn the sleeve transparent. The problem you'll have though is that, in-game, not only would the jacket be missing an arm, your character would be too. You'd need to find a partial body mesh to put "inside" the jacket. -
I went thru the comments of the video and found a link where someone uploaded the mod to mediafire.... http://www.mediafire.com/file/f8u3umuc5ktd3pd/Novac_Legion-63526-1-0.zip/file The zip file contains an .esp and a bunch of sound files.

Station Charlie Quest
sykoholic001 replied to 3bonyand1vory's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
The woman is Ranger Stella The only mod I know of that includes/involves freeing her is Free the Slaves. It's not really a quest but rather just more of an option. -

Quick armor mashup?
sykoholic001 replied to viniestpumpkin7's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
Unfortunately, that's not a quick mash. The jeans, belt, pouches, and vest are all a single mesh. They can't be separated in Nifskope. A person would have to use Blender (or something similar) to literally cut them apart. If all you were wanting was the vest, the shirt underneath it would also need to be cut out. The belt and its pouches would likewise need to be "skinned" off the jeans and have their back sides re-built. There's also the issue of the outfit being a game asset. I think we're not actually supposed to do that. -
Yeah... I think "Better Angels" is it. One of the NCR Troopers at the FOB is a Super Mutant and another is a Ghoul. The Super Mutant does a great deal of "thinking out loud" and the Ghoul (a rather foul-mouthed individual) constantly berates and insults him for it. You could easily forget about the rest of the mod and just stand there listening to the two of them bicker. The two of them are re-occurring characters from an earlier mod in the Someguy Series

FNV versions of Fallout 4 Companions
sykoholic001 replied to sykoholic001's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
Rather sad attempts but... Curie Cait -
More of an idea/question than a request.... Has anyone made FNV versions of the FO4 companions? I'm not talking quests, dialogue, affinity, and all that complicated, in-depth stuff... just simple, rudimentary companion NPCs that LOOK like the FO4 companions.

Any progress on this? Just curious. -
That's about as far as I'm able to get until I can figure out how to turn an .obj into a .nif But now you know why I wanted a sailor hat.

Converting Meshs from other games, help
sykoholic001 replied to SnakeSlippers's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Blender is absolutely determined to not be usable (by me, at least) so I am to the point of either finding alternative software to use or just giving up entirely. -

sykoholic001 replied to firsTraveler's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
"The site that shall not be named" is a joke nickname for loverslab.com, a porn mod site. I believe there are rules here on Nexus against linking to mods there... hence the nickname. Blender 2.49 suffers from massive lag to the point of being nearly impossible to use and Blender 2.79 won't import/export .nif files correctly, even with the nif_scripts added... and this is with FO3/FNV .nifs. At this point, converting FO4 .nifs to FO3/FNV is a pipe-dream. All I wanted was a sailor hat *sniffle* -

sykoholic001 replied to firsTraveler's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
IIRC, over at "the site that shall not be named", someone had intended to make a Cat's Paw based, gentleman's club themed, story mod but then learned that Coito Ergo Sum had essentially beaten him to it so instead he just posted everything he had as a modder's resource. It has been had added to the LONG list of things waiting on the back burner while I struggle with getting Blender to co-operate. -

Converting Meshs from other games, help
sykoholic001 replied to SnakeSlippers's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Unfortunately, as I said, 2.49 lags horribly for me. Just mousing over a tab/button takes several seconds to get a reaction. Mouse over, wait five seconds, click to select, wait five seconds, repeat. Even zooming or rotating the view requires working in "delayed stages". I can't imagine trying to actually work on a mesh like that. -
Converting Meshs from other games, help
sykoholic001 replied to SnakeSlippers's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Okay... Python, Blender (2.49 and 2.79), PyFFI, and Nif_Scripts uninstalled and re-installed (in the right places this time) and apparently working properly.... tho 2.49 is REALLY slow. Used Nifskope to remove everything but the "branch" (and associated bones) I want to alter. Saved that as a new .nif. Opened Blender 2.49 and imported the new .nif then saved it as a .blend. Opened the .blend in 2.79 and deleted the bunny tail and ears, leaving just the cuffs, collar, and bow tie. Saved it then opened it in 2.49 and exported it as a .nif. Opened that .nif in Nifskope and only the bones were there and they were off-center. Obviously, I didn't do something right in the editing or converting stage but, if nothing else, I am making progress. So I should use .obj rather than .blend? -
Converting Meshs from other games, help
sykoholic001 replied to SnakeSlippers's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
*bangs head repeatedly against keyboard* Cube removed. Nif imported and saved as .blend. Ears and Tail deleted. All good, right? Nope!!!!! 2.79 won't export to .nif and 2.49 claims the nif_scripts aren't installed (even though they are). Tried uninstalling and re-installing them. The auto-installer claims I don't have Python and/or PyFFI installed (even though I do) and installing them manually apparently makes them undetectable by Blender... and these, of course, are all technical issues which are outside the scope of this conversation. If I weren't an atheist, I'd swear God hates me. :wallbash: -

I feel your pain. All I'm trying to do is remove the tail and ears from Backsteppo's "Bunny Suit" and I'm on the verge of pulling my hair out.
