  1. Hi Nexus community, I've been using this site for awhile but haven't really been active in the forums (though I do leave a mod comment every so often). I think I have a decent understanding on how to install/use/make minor edits to/safely uninstall mods, but I've run into a problem that really has me stumped. Hopefully you guys can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Anyway, the problem: I've been (re)playing Skyrim for awhile, and for at least a hundred hours of play I've been mostly fine. However, today I decided to do a TES5edit clean of the update.esm, hearthfire.esm, dawnguard.esm, and dragonborn.esm files, mostly because all the warning flags in BOSS were irritating me. After I did the cleaning, however, I've run into some horrible screen flickering. I'm not even sure what the right word for it is, but it's oddly not shown when I take screenshots while it happens. It looks like this picture I found on google images, except perhaps a bit less extreme (but only a bit). After a few seconds of turning to this grainy flickering stuff, it might revert back to normal for a minute, then go back to flickering, and eventually freeze my game completely. I don't think it's an issue with my computer because it only happens for Skyrim, and only just recently. EDIT: Sometimes instead of flickering, the screen will just go completely black but things will still be happening (I can hear my character getting attacked), and sometimes I get a mix of black screens, normal screens, and colored flickering screens. So, I immediately restored the backups of the .esm files that I had cleaned, but after doing that the flickering problem is still there! I'm not 100% sure if it was cleaning the .esm files that caused this to happen, but that is literally the only thing I did before the flickering started...up until then I had never encountered this issue. This is my mod list in its load order, from NMM (=1 means it's activated, =0 means it isn't) I use BOSS to keep my mods in order and Wyre Bash to batch patches, so I don't think it's a load order problem. And I followed the TES5edit master cleaning instructions to the letter (I watched that video by Gopher). In order to restore my backups of the .esms, I basically moved the backups from the TES5EDIT backup folder into the data folder, deleted the new version, and renamed the backup version. If there's any other information you guys need please let me know. Thanks in advance for the help. edit: Also, my system specs:Asus G75VWi7 2.3 GHz8 GB RAMGTX 660 4 GB
