  1. Agreed. I have used my mount very, very little. It impacts the story of the game in a negative way.
  2. Preference is preference; I have no issue with that. Why say someone is "Butt Ugly" though... that part is insulting. Others may find her attractive. I don't like her hair, but her jaw does not seem manly to me (perhaps because I have a strong jaw...). I do however fully support the option to mod characters to their preference :-) As for making everyone a romance option for either sex... That's life. Some people are gay, others not, and that's the way it is ;-)
  3. I would love some hair options for Solas!
  4. I agree. Something looks off for sure. I feel like her facial features almost look more dwarven than elven.
  5. Yes, please! More long hairstyles are needed :-)
  6. Again... thank you so much for all of your help! I did not have 64 bit verion installed. Now that I do, I get the error 5: You have files in the configuration file that are normally compressed, but then failed to remove/rename X.uncompressed_size file. Normally, this isn't fatal, except that there were no files left to check, so the program had nothing to do. I have all the steps down, so I am unsure as to why there is no files left to check. Maybe I am doing something wrong with the XComGame.upk step... I put the Decompressor in the CookePCConsole with in, run command and type in the command to decompress. I take the file named XComGame.upk from the unpacked folder and drag it into CookedPCConsole folder and overwrite the old one. Then run XSHAPE.bat UPDATE: OK, I was not deleting the uncompressed file... oops. deleted that and then got error 16 - edited bat as instructed, but game will not start. I did get a message that it was updated UPDATE 2: IT"S WORKING!!! thanks so much for all of your patience guys!!! To recap, my problems were: * Needed 64 bit version of java installed * Had to delete XComGame.upk.uncompressed_size (may sound strange, but this did not seem all that obvious... it sounded like I was to rename the XComGame.upk to this... I finally noticed a file already named this) * Had to edit XSHAPE.bat to hav a 0 after -V * Game ran when opened through steam, but not by manually opening through .exe I hope this helps any of those non expert users out there like me :-)
  7. Thanks for the help. So, I at least know the error now: Java is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file I did not see this in the error list.
  8. Yes, it says "Changes applied to XComGame.upk successfully" When I double click XSHAPE.bat to run, it opens and closes quickly. - How do I run it from command line? in case it helps, here are the steps I did: 1. Decompress XComGame.upk and place in CookedPCConsole 2. Run Selective recruitment and change to desired settings 3. Apply settings (got message saying successful) 4. extract XSHAPE into XCom-Enemy-unknown folder and double click XSHAPE.bat
  9. Thank you for the reply. I double clicked the XSHAPE.bat after doing all the steps. After this, when I try running XCOM, it will not start up. I get the loading icon on the mouse, but nothing happens. And I do have latest Java 7 update 9 Update: I tried running it again, and I just got the error "xcom has stopped working"
  10. Hey all. I am not that experienced with XSHAPE. I'm trying to mod my XCOM game so I can use "Selective Recruitment" mod from Nexus. I tried my best to follow the directions laid out. When I extract XSHAPE into the xcom game folder, and run the pather, I get two errors : 1. Windows can not find "modpatcher" make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again 2. Windows can not find "Java" make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. This is most likely me doing it wrong. Does anyone have "Steps for dummies"? Any help is appreciated :-)
  11. This would be cool as DLC or a mod.
  12. If someone made a mod for this, I would be so happy. I like to customize my soldiers in the image of my closest friends and family. I want to customize Nationality, Sex, and Genders... Please!!!!
  13. A mod changing the colors is not illegal. If someone was to distribute the DLC in whole or part, as is, then that would be infringing on trademark. If the ability to change colors was added, and the options of different colors were not just copied into your game, you are fine.
  14. I did not pre order either. I don't even see helmets as an option. If I can get them, great! And the more the better.
