I personally haven't bought a Bethesda Product since Fallout 4. Didn't grip me the way the older titles did. Maybe that's just me getting older. I don't play much of anything anymore and when I do its usually FNV, Oblivion or Silent Hunter 3.

I'm recently replaying Oblivion. I'm playing with the music on for Nostalgia purposes but sometimes it gets a little annoying during dialogue. I usually play with music off tho for games like that.

So i have a bit of a technical problem I was hoping someone could help me with. I juts got an AMD 7970 and when I installed the display started showing up as a 1770X1000 screen in the middle of my 1920X1080 moniters screen, but it showed up as 1920X1080 resolution... Im not sure what to do, so I changed the resolution to 1770X1000 to make the screen look normal as a temporary solution, but I would prefer to use 100% of my monitor. I have tried adjusting all the settings I can think of and I updated all the drivers. I am using an HDMI cable not a DVI cable if that makes a difference (I dont think it does). What am I missing here?

The Dremora of Skyrim, why do they look like dark elves with horns and war paint? In Oblivion the Dremora looked rather unique, not to mention their hilarious voices. What do you guys think about the new Dremora. I myself can't really take them seriously, and I'm also unsure as to why Sanguine appears as a Dremora.

I actually just finished getting out all the remaining ones. Was still having a few issues. No way I'm doing a reinstall!

Yes, before you say anything I know what you're thinking. "Did you back up your textures?" Well the answer is quite simply, no. In my haste to see the mod I forgot to back up my textures. I decided to delete the mod because it just didn't feel right. Well when I uninstalled I replaced what I could with some huge HD texture packs I had, but am still having the following problems: Animal textures still in tropical mod (Not that big a deal really), Certain Nordic ruins still have sandy color (not a big deal either, in some cases it looks kinda cool), Distant lands look like like plains or deserts (kinda annoying. This includes the world map), and distant trees look like 2D Nordic watch towers (Kinda really annoying, main reason I'm posting this.) NOW! There's no way in Oblivion that I'm doing a reinstall. I have my reasons. Now I'm thinking maybe if I delete some of (a lot) of the afflicted textures from the data folder and sync up to steam the vanilla files will re-download. I'm not sure about this theory though, and would like the opinions of some of you more well versed in this sort of thing. Will dance for help: :dance:

There is a way around it with the console commands, though not sure how to do it. Im having the same problem, but can't seem to find an answer. I know that doesn't help, but just know that you aren't alone.

NO I do have dragonborn. Thats why I want to do that quest. I got to level 59 without even touching the main quest, didnt feel like dealing with dragons. Ha.

So I have a bug in my game that prohibits me from absorbing dragon souls. I must not be dragonborn. HA! Anyway, Im trying to get past the quest where you have to kill the dragon outside Whiterun. Where the soldiers gawk at you for absorbing the dragon's soul. The next goal for the quest is "Investigate Dragon". I obviously cant get past this because Im not absorbing souls properly. I know there is a way around this with console commands. Like setstage and all that, but I tried and I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone please tell me how to approach this problem? Help would be much appreciated, and I do have connections in the East Empire Company ;)

Got yah. Thanks. I just hired the ship captain. None of those events ever happened. Im sure i have a big bug somewhere.
