  1. Oh wow. Thanks, LFact. Being the lazy person I am, I tried your way first. Problem solved. But if I give this to someone else, wouldn't it not work for them since they don't have the renamed objects?
  2. Alright. Thanks guys. I'll try doing the stuff you guys mentioned until I get something to work.
  3. I'm currently trying to build my own Mead Hall, however, I am a complete noob to the CS and using resources hasn't been going so well for me. I posted a thread like this just the other day, but now I realize it's a much bigger problem than just that cell, and that I must be doing something wrong with the resource(s). I can use their files just fine in the CS. I open it up, put in the resources files, and everything is okay. However, whenever I load up the game, all the files from the resource vanish, and are also gone once I open up the CS again. Just to be clear here, what I have been doing is opening the CS, loading oblivion.esm, the resource esp, and then the esp I'm making as the active file. I put in what I want from the resource, etc etc, save my esp, close the CS, then open Oblivion, make sure my esp and the resource are ticked, load the game to find what I added from the resource is not in the game world. And as I said, they're also missing when I load the esps in the CS. Can someone tell me how I'm supposed to use resources, since I seem to be doing it wrong?
  4. I already knew how to put Objects in, and all the objects I put in remained fine. But it was the walls/floors/etc from the original cell that went away.
  5. I don't actually have an exterior/door or anything. I was just working on trying to make an interior cell look half-way decent before I even think about an exterior. But uh... How do I add them as static objects?
  6. That's what I'm trying to do. I just want to keep it simple, with a mead hall, armory, barracks, etc. Nothing like some indoor garden or a massive fountain. I basically want to base it very closely to Hrothgar's Heorot from Beowulf. I found a good resource and already have a basic layout for the castle planned. I'm just having problems actually making it in the CS. :P
  7. Well, You could always open up the character menu and change her race and everything. Or was that the actual source of your problem? Well, I have an idea for a quest/castle. I'd sorta like to base it on Beowulf. But my primary concern right now is building the castle before I can focus on a quest, which is where my current problems come from. But if you'd like to team up, that sounds great.
  8. To be honest with you, I'm none to sure either. I'm new to this and having problems with the CS, as well. I'm just trying to help out where I can.
  9. No, that's not it. The only time I would have actually been able to open it without the resource would be when I opened it again and noticed it like that in the first place... Thanks, though. Edit: I tried doing it again, I copy/pasted everything I had into a new copy of the original cell. I had the same problem, after I made special care to make sure I enabled the necessary ESP.
  10. I am very new to the CS, so I'm still very confused and don't have much of an idea what I'm doing. I downloaded a very nice *resource* and was messing around with it, trying to begin making a Mead Hall for a castle I want to make. The cell I started with looked like *this.* Everything's going great, I have a setup I really like going on. I spent a few hours doing this. So I save and close. Later, I go back to work on it, and I open the cell I was working on. But suddenly, *THIS!* All the objects I placed in there are okay and still there, but all the walls, floors, ceilings, and everything are gone. Is there any way I can fix this? :(
  11. Yeah, but seaview doesn't have a Nordic feel to it at all. If anything, seaview reminds me more of like... A Poseidon type of castle. And I'm trying to have a Norse character.
  12. Most of the mods I've seen to add new homes such as castles or houses in what used to be wilderness were pretty much over-the-top. I mean, most of the buildings people make, they feel the need to throw in, I hate to say it, too many features. I don't want all the features of the game compressed into one little living area, it gets a little boring. So I was wondering if anybody knew of, or could make, a somewhat remote castle, without all the stuff like ingredient gardens, or alchemy tables, preferably somewhere in the Jerall Mountains. Also, it'd be nice if the castle had somewhat of a Norse feel to it, like a large dining hall filled with Mead or something. But mainly I'd just like an average castle, like one that has a barracks for guards, private quarters for the castle owner, dining hall, a merchant or two, an armory, etc. But just without all that extra, over-the-top stuff, like a huge ingredient garden, a bunch of spell-making/alchemy tables, or just stuff that's way too fancy. I guess I'm just looking for an average castle. Does anyone know of, or would be willing to make, what I described? Thanks in advance.
