  1. Glad to see you back Someguy2000! So excited and stoked for New Vegas Bounties 3! There will always be room in my load order for a Someguy2000 mod!

So are you excited about Quentin Tarantino's upcoming movie The Hateful Eight?

Also I wanted to say that I read a article on Facebook today about Carlos Hathcock and as soon as I seen his name and story I was like OMG that is where inspiration for Charlie Halfcock came from!

Again it is so good to see you back man.

  2. Someguys work if my favorite mods, every single one of them he released. Bounties 2 and Russel are my top 2 favorites of all the mods I have installed. Don't get me wrong I am greatfull to Someguy for what he has given us for free with all the time he put into his work. But having come so close with a teaser trailer, voice casting, beta testing all that it was truly happening. Then with the all of a sudden silence and after checking the thread almost daily myself and no news just kinda makes me sad. It was like we were so close you could almost taste it you know? Really hope the project really truly isn't dead with all the work put into a almost complete product, but it is so hard to stay optimistic. It would just be a shame that's all.
  3. I know there is a lot of buzz with the other 2 big mods coming out. Project Brazil and The Frontier, but it would be really awesome if Someguy2000 would come out of nowhere and throw his hat in as it were with a New Vegas Bounties 3 announcement. That would be mind blowing!
  4.

What would you like to do most mod wise after NVBIII is released and you've had the appropriate downtime to get the creative juices (read: Alcohol) flowing again? Is there any potential project in particular you're really wanting to do?

It will be one of the following, most likely (I can't ignore my proclivity for pursuing random ideas):

    FO:NV:

    - The Ballad of Bobby Bass

    - Sinners and Slaves

    - The Man from Old Mexico

    TES:

    - Six Swords

    - Sons of Shor

I'm hoping after your experience with a slavers life that you will do Sinners and Slaves. You get so angry that I bet Sinners and Slaves will be good and bloody.

Also I love quests in new areas so The Man from Old Mexico peeks my interest.

  5. An excerpt from some recently-penned dialogue:

    Player:

What can you tell me about Marko?

    UNNAMED NPC:

I suppose in a strange way he's not much different from you, Courier. He was forged in violence, reborn a survivor.

He's not exceptional in any physical sense, nor is he the most intelligent man I've met. I suppose it's his resolve that sets him apart.

There have been times when most men would have succumbed to defeat or even death, yet Marko won in the end.

He told me about the time he was captured by raiders back east. They ate Marko's comrades and forced him into servitude.

He went along with it, ingratiating himself with the leader and even proving himself as a capable cook. The raiders even grew to trust him.

He was eventually offered the chance to join their ranks - on the condition that he prove his ability to kill without hesitation.

While he had certainly killed before, this was different. He was ordered to slaughter the family of a random farmer, fellow by the name of Randall.

Given your history with Randall, I have no doubt he's told you what transpired. Marko killed them all in front of Randall in gruesome fashion.

The slavers' leader was so impressed that he made Marko his right-hand man. Marko soon exceeded all expectations as a raider.

It seemed as if Marko had assimilated into this new lifestyle with no regrets or grudges... for a time. Then they ran into a rival group of raiders.

On the eve of their battle, Marko sedated the leader and carried him to the rival encampment.

With a rapt, surprised audience in full view, Marko blinded, castrated, and paralyzed his leader, then announced his intentions.

He declared himself leader of the rival tribe, and would face anyone who thought himself more worthy. None challenged him.

With his intimate familiarity with his original clan's tactics, Marko led his men to an easy victory. The fate of the captured raiders was... grim.

Most were blinded, emasculated, and crippled, much like the leader. Additionally, they were disemboweled.

For days, Marko allowed his dogs to feed on the entrails of the dying men, taking care to ensure their survival long enough to extend the agony.

They all died, eventually. Except the leader. He had a much worse fate. They say Marko carted him about for years, caged like an animal.

He was a living reminder that crossing Marko could bring a fate far worse than death. No one ever questioned him.

All I can say is Damn that is some crazy messed up stuff there. Brilliant writing! Bravo, makes the legend of Marko that much more intense! Looking forward to this. Great stuff man great stuff. And did I mention Damn!

  6. This is the note from Marko about his retirement

    Sergio,

I heard you're doing well down in the Mojave. I congratulate you.

As for me, I'm wrapping things up and heading for Frost Hill, that mining town up in Utah. That's right, I'm retiring. This game isn't what it once was, brother, and times are changing. I'm going to turn in this name and settle down with the rest of those saps. I hear it's cold as hell, but at least there's no Marshals up there to hound my ass when I'm old and decrepit. All they've got is one lazy, crooked sheriff. I reckon that's what happens when most of the townsfolk are retired outlaws.

I'm riding solo now, and I gotta admit something strange happened. I could've sworn that some ghoul was trailing me, watching my every move. The face seemed familiar, if not for the rotting flesh. I'm probably just being paranoid. If you come looking for me, don't ask for Marko, because he won't be there. Take care of yourself, and don't let those law dogs see you sweat.

    Your brother,
    Marko

P.S. Don't trust Mr. K., or whatever the f*** they call him. Trust yourself, and f*** everyone else.

Also there was this note (Even though you did say you were scrapping the Regulator idea figured this would help with remembering some things)

    Dear &PCName;,

    It's me, Randall.

I'm sorry it took so long to contact you. For a while I wanted to be sure you weren't in on my assassination attempt, but I've ruled that out. Besides, everyone has heard of how you smoked Sergio in that street. It made me proud to hear that you were still hunting down those bastards.

In case you're wondering, I'm in fair health, all things considered. I'm glad you plugged Sugar, but deep down I'd give anything for a shot at that motherf***er for what he did to me. To make a long story short, I've been buried, irradiated, tortured, enslaved, and ghoulified... that's right, I'm a goddamn zombie now.

There's a lot to explain, but I'm short on time. I'll leave you with this - I'm up in Utah, trailing a lead on Marko. I might not have much time left on this s***hole planet, but I'll spend every last minute making sure he faces justice. I suspect he's holed up in an outlaw town way up in the mountains, a place called Frost Hill. It will take some planning and firepower to clean that place out, so I'll send for you when the time is right. I think it's fine time we started a chapter of the Regulators out here, and I intend to do it.

    Your Friend,
    Steven Randall

Hope you find these helpful someguy

  7.

I even have an outline called New Vegas Noir that revolves entirely around finding a serial killer on the strip, with little to no combat in the mod at all.

Yes this interests me and I would love to see it become a Mod someday. This for the win.

  8. First off Welcome back Someguy2000!!!! Your Mods are amazing and some of the best I have played.

So glad to see you working on the final Bounties installment. I've been really wanting to get Marko and Glanton for so long!

Your way of story telling is top notch and I like how gritty and dark they can be. The vanilla story makes the Fallout Universe so tame and I know the Mojave should be more bloody and dark than they portray it. Your Mods and your Bounties, Russell, The Inheritance, story line makes the world of the Mojave so much believable . The villains and the characters fit in to the setting so well, it is hard to imagine the game without them now. So great to see them story complete. I'm so excited!

I read up on the movies you said you are drawing inspiration for the story from The Great Silence, McCabe and Mrs. Miller, and Unforgiven. I must say if that is the case things are going to get bad XD Will be interesting to see what is in store for us!

That being said, take your time and don't stress. We can wait for it to be completed at your own pace man. Just glad to see you back :)

  9. You can use any New Vegas Mods with Tale of Two Wastelands as it uses the New Vegas engine and not the old Fallout 3 one. You only have to edit the Fallout 3 Files.

I been playing Tale of Two Wastelands and I use a whole bunch of New Vegas Mods.

    Hope this answers your question.

  10. I read a few Tutorials and been experaminting on making my own book covers for Pre War books but have not had any success. I put a texture on a boon and the cover i suposed to have a symbol on the cover. But instead the symbol wraps all the way around the book instead of staying on the cover. I am not sure how to get it working properly. I have all the needed tools like Gimp 2 and NifSkope as well as Blender.

I have seen a lot of Mods with Retextured Covers anyone who is experienced with this kind of modding able to help?

I would like to make my own book covers.
