  1. The option for it is access by clicking options on the splash screen it should be right under the resolution drop down box, be warned however if your game resolution is not set lower your desktop resolution the game window will be forced off screen and generaly make playing difficult at best. I can only really recomend windowed mode for testing mods or otherwise multitasking, I only use windowmode as a last ditch attempt to get morrowind to run correctly on a system.
  2. DarkElf Female Sorceress Sign of the Antroch(Custom Mage Class) Favors Destruction + Conjuration Argonian Male Monk Sign of the Shadow(Customized Class) Favors Hand to Hand + Unarmored Kahjit Female Theif Sign of the Theif(Stock Class) Favors Marksman + Light Armor Breton Male Paladin Sign of the Warrior(Custom Class) Favores Claymores + Heavy Armor
  3. Im surprised no one ever mentioned running morrowind in a window, dont ask me why but it stoped CTD's and All out lock-ups on my freinds comp; Specs: 950mhz Duran 512MB PC100 ATI Radeion 7200 Creative SB PCI 512
  4. Hmm i think he meant killing dagoth ur, but ya know im actualy surpirsed more people dident think the ascended sleepers were scarry....im affraid of fighting those things on any difficulty.
  5. Plus you dont have to worry about newer members starting a new one of these things; Blighted Cliff Racer + Blight Storm + Winamp = scarry

    Love

Its what will get you into trouble every time.
  7. some creatures have really weird damage boxs too, i had arrow go through a clifracers wing and hit a guard in the background....ive also seen arrows look like their falling far to low and still manage to damage betty netchs. btw, bull netches make great target practice
  8. eh switch, my theif meleed too, i just ussed potions and levitated when i was getting swarmed and needed to heal up.
  9. Having completed tribunal/bloodmoon at 530 HP on a theif charecter at difficulty + 75 i can tell you that 774 HP is completley unessecery with a absorb health sword. and a enchanted constant effect restorehealth ring. the fact that i had to up the difficulty to +75 for a group of 5-7 enimes to even phase me says as much i think. The only charecter that really benifts from extreamly high HP's is a werewolf since their HP is 2x normal, and not being able to heal yourself you need it. Starting out and untill you can get absorb health or CE Restore Health, healing potions work fine, their fairly cheap at 35-175 a pop and extreamly effective restoring 50-200 within 5-10 seconds. aside from that potions stack as well so you can take down something you normaly couldent if youve got the gold to spend on quality/exclusive healing potions. Lastly if you use ranged attacks in the early game, like fireballs and bows you dont need as much starting HP becuase nothing will get close to you if you do it right. Mages can also use absorb health or strong oneshot custom spells and skeleton minions early on to compensate for their low HP, theif based charecters can compensate by using stealth critical hits, ranged weapons and jink blades. My lvl 1 mage had a absorb health 11-52 on touch spell right off the get go, only cost about 500gold i think, you can buy it in sadrith mora, and what do you know you can get there from seyda neen for about 45gold using the stiltstrider and mages guild transport. ;)
  10. I guess I'll add my 2 cents, darkelves and imperials fit the storyline best but anyway Mage Breton/Altmer - Antorch/Apprentice Fighter Imperial/Orc/Nord/Redguard - Lady/Steed/Mage/Lover Theif Woodelf/Kahjit - Theif/Shadow/Steed/Tower Dark Elves and Argonians can do just about any class decently but dont really excell at any one area. Of course regardless of your race/class/birthsign you'll be a jack of all trades by lvl 60 so just pick whatever looks nice and take a brithsign with a LONGTERM benifit such as the Theif/Mage/Apprentice/Antroch/Warrior the Stat bonus from signs like the lady/lover/steed dont mater once you level up since your stats will cap at 100 even with those signs. the Lord sign is just utterly worthless dont bother with it, the tower is really only good for detecting enchantments but you can get enchanted rings or spells that do that for you. As for the shadow, invisibility wears off when you attack or activate a object so its only really good for running away from something. Fortify Attack 10 (The Warrior) Increases your Hit % Sanctuary 10 (The Theif) Reduces Enemy Hit % Fortify Max Magicka 0.5/1.5/2.0 (Mage/Apprentice/Antroch) Increase Max Magicka by 0.5/1.5/20 x INT a High Elf under the Antroch could have 450 Magicka at 100 INT Stunted Magicka (Antroch) Magicka only recharges with spell absorbption or potions Spell Absorbtion (Antroch) Absorbs Hostile spells and refills your magicka
  11. However as for cliff racers there is a mod out called Cliff Racer Remover, I do believe it is on MorrowindSource but if its not it is possibly on MorrowindSumit and if its not there just PM me with your email addy saying you want it, its a really small file (Like less then 0.8MB). Side Note: Much thanks to both Switch and OblivionKnight for their additions of the bonebiter bow and mudcrab faqs, if we get enuff good stuff in here maybe we could compile it and have Dark0ne make a general morrowind faq page on the main site with a search feature...hmm thats probably alot of work tho....mmm why do I allways froth with ideas when im drinking....anyway off to go sober up...
  12. I really dont care, but i must say having been a active visitor to morrowindfiles before it stoped updatting ive kinda gotten ussed to this skin, It grows on your after awhile you know.
  13. Registration helps to prevent leeching, easy leeching = slow server so no keep the registration.
  14. I like the SemiSwirl skin it matches the mwsource homepage nice, but of the two you asked us to vote for I prefer the Hardwire
  15. How do I sell something worth over 2K: Just how expensive? if its over 10K nowhere in morrowind, creeper who resides in the orc mander of caldera has 5K and theres a talking mudcrab somewhere with 10K though ive never found him. There is a trick to get creeper and mudcrab to buy items over 5/10K. First sell them about 100K worth of item (in 5 or 10K incriments, waiting 24hrs between each sale) then buy back all these small items so creeper/mudcrab has enuff funds to buy that Deadric Dai Katana or whatever from you, then sell them all the little stuff back again waiting for 24hrs inbetween each 5/10K sale. Alternativly you could download a merchant mod or edit a NPC on your own with the TESCS so they have 500K bartering gold. you can do that by finding a NPC of your choice in the [NPC] tab of the TESCS and then doublecliking to open their properties, then clicking the AI button, and then going to services. How Can I Edit My Class/Race/Birthsign: hit the ~ key then type enablestatreviewmenu and press enter, when your done save the game and re-load it How do I get constant effect enchantments: You need a soulgem with a goldensaint or a ascendedsleeper Where is fargoth and why do people hate him: Seyda Need, and because hes a bosmer with a anoying voice Who is geanor?: A incredibly anoying woodelf begger in fronth of the mournhold temple (tribunal) DarkBrotherhood?: Those anoying assassins you fight in tribunal. How do i become a vampire?: Fight a vampire (they are ussualy found in tombs but also appear less frequently in other locations) each time you are struck by a vampire's physical attack there is a chance of catching hemophila pyropheia(sp?) or something like that, once your have the disease you can either cure it with a cure common disease spell or potion or wait/rest for 3 days and become a vampire How do I become a werewolf?: This works much like becoming a vampire only you need bloodmoon, and you have to fight a werewolf. Werewolf's are extreamly rare but you will run into them eventualy if you follow the main quest for bloodmoon. The disease is called senius lepius or something like that. :D Most Recent Updates: fargoth/geanor/DB's/Vamps/Wolfies
