An Altmer joining the Stormcloaks and becoming a necromancer/mercenary, well I have a few ideas that would explain that mighty well. first he starts off as a regular AldmeirDominion High Elf like most of his people but he ends up injured and cared for by an kind Nord woman and fall in love with her, they end up with her getting pregnant which has them extremely happy, but his fellow high elves find out and they hate the thought of dirtying the high elven bloodline with humans and they kill his wife and unborn child while he is away on work for the dominion. upon his return and discovery of his slaughtered family he becomes horribly distraught and infuriated, his child was cut from her womb and he could tell that they had done so to ensure the child died as the child's throat is slit as well it would have only been a month or two before it would have been born so he could tell the child had some of his own features which only furthers his turbulent rage over his loss. he would kill his commanding officer who had sent him away so that they could do what they did, and he would track down and kill any and all who had been involved with the murder, leading him to eventually lose his position and becoming known as a traitor to the dominion, who now hunt him. he would try fleeing to Skyrim to his wife's homeland with her and their child's bodies to have them buried with her family's burial grounds/tomb, he gets caught at the border where the main storyline picks up and he discovers that he is the dragonborn, he feels that it must have been destiny, and that this new power will help him get vengeance against the dominion, he will over time start learning about Talos and starts believing that he might be the dragonborn because he might be his reincarnation or that he might be a descendent of an forgotten love child or something, also thinking that maybe that might be one of the reasons he fell in love with a Nord in the first place and why they were successful in getting her pregnant with his child. he would side with the greybeards in order to have access to their knowledge and to be able to learn all the shouts that he can, he might not side with the blades once their usefulness is over because there are several times that the blades insult him and question his greatness unlike the grey beards who speak respectfully to him and who seem to provide the greater benefit to him especially after the blades demand that he kill those who are still beneficial to him, after all nobody should be demanding anything of him! he hates the thieves because it reminds him of how his life was stolen by the dominion, but he is willing to make use of them and becomes pissed at mercer because mercer fouls up his plans so he kills mercer. he kills grellod the kind because she is abusive to the children after he finds the closet with the shackles on the walls where the children would be locked up and punished by the witch, hi kills her in a particularly brutal way because he wishes his child were still alive and would hate if his child were treated so horribly, therefor leading to the brotherhood letting him in, he would befriend cisero because he can feel for his loss especially after reading his journals. he joins the stormcloaks because it will help him get back at the dominion and he makes use of them as much as he can, he finds out that the dominion is snooping around the collage of Winterhold, so obviously he decides to become a thorn in their side and intervene with whatever they are trying to do; while there he decides to make good use of his time and learn while he is there in order to gain more power learning the convenience of healing spells to replace healing potions and bound weapons' that you can summon when you don't have access to your physical weapons, he would get into summoning which would lead to raising the dead and necromancy in hopes that he could one day bring his beloved and child back to life, their bodies being well preserved in the cold he would start perusing it with zealous thoughts of reuniting with them. he would go after Azura's star after finding out about it and would make sure to keep it as a black soul gem constantly experimenting with it in order to figure it out, he would use the dominion and bandits as his test subjects, he hates bandits because they attack families on the roads or even their own homes. he would look into vampirism as well in order so that if he can resurrect his beloved and child he wants them to live just as long as himself, this leads him to running into that vampire follower that you mentioned as well as the artifacts with the vampire/dawnguard questline. he would get a good taste for killing and makes killing bandits and the dominion as his favorite pastime and he makes gaining more power a priority but he would still have a little soft spot he doesn't like destroying families and he loves children partly because of his longing for his lost child and what could have been, he would adopt but he would train them to be strong fighters always gifting them new weapons for them to fight and defend themselves with, he would make sure that his home and children are well protected he would have guard dogs and other pets for his children that might help protect them. he would defeat mirrack because he doesn't want to share the position of dragonborn with anyone but those that would be of his bloodline, aka his child. and he would defeat Alduin for the fame and power that would come from doing so and he would gain every piece of property he can to further establish himself, he would dethrone any jarls that rub him wrong hints dawnstar's and the one with the graveyard because both are quite rude and demeaning to the player. he would take down the silver-blood family after dealing with their crap though he might leave the one silver-blood alive because he isn't as bad as the brother that was using the forsworn. he would gather the dadric artifacts but he would also consider the up's and downs of doings and if it requires giving up something that might be more beneficial than he would either find a way around it or choose which would benefit him more. he would collect followers but he wouldn't tolerate incompetency, especially when it puts him at a disadvantage or causes him harm, he will be lenient with those who have earned his respect but he will be viscous with those that earn his ire, Lydia rolling her eyes and sarcastic complaining as well as her giving him away when sneaking and her triggering traps earns her a position as Bodithia's sacrifice, after all he would get the most reward out of doing so and he gets rid of an nuisance. he might marry if he finds someone that reminds him of his beloved but only after he has exhausted his abilities and resources to bring her and his child back to life, at least he would have the nest best, after all as the dragonborn he must carry on his lineage. he would go about killing those who disrespect him and keep those that provide him service unless they aren't worth the services they provide. he likes those that help lead him to be able to harm the dominion and does those quest eagerly because the only thing he would enjoy more is having his wife and child back, so he will settle for killing dominion drones. he would kill people who are mean to children so the father of the twins will be killed for being ungrateful that he at least has the children that his wife gave birth to. he would adopt these unwanted children when he can provide a safe home for them, again training them to be able to defend themselves because he doesn't want to experience loss again and he feels like as important of a person he is their loss would be an affront to his position, he will seek vengeance against such a slight even if it was a pet or farm animal that was killed because again it was his! so how dare they harm that which is yours.
