  1. You figure this out? I'm having the same problem. 2. The game has a real poverty of cool outfits that are unique to the player character –– I don’t know about you, but from a role-playing perspective I feel iffy about wearing the guy who shot my spouse’s clothes, wearing the leader of a faction I killed’s clothes, or stealing one of my friends’ clothes. In a vacuum, Old Longfellow’s coat is just about perfect for him, but it’s also one of the best options for a cool unique coat for the player character, and something appeals to me about dressing Longfellow up like the Gorton’s fisherman. Hence I request a mod that puts the Hunter’s Longcoat on that drifter’s corpse right across the bridge from Sanctuary instead of the Drifter Outfit (and makes it not respawn like that corpse’s items usually do) and makes Old Longfellow’s equipped clothes the Longshoreman’s Outfit and the Yellow Slicker Hat (and removes the Hunter’s Longcoat from his inventory). This seems about just about the simplest type of mod to make, but I don’t really mod. I’d be more inclined to do it with the console when starting out by finding the ID of that corpse with another character but I don’t know if Longfelloiw’s inventory would reset if I took to long to get to Far Harbor. Anyone interested in implementing this?
  3. SOLVED: The new Fallout4Custom.ini needs to have .ini deleted from its file name for the game to recognize it. (Strange that it was different from the originals given that I created it by copying one of the other .inis. Er, duh, I must have copied it in there.) Hope this helps if someone else has the same specific problem.
  4. I have mods themselves enabled correctly per http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation as I can add mod items through the console, but the items have no textures or meshes. The files are definitely in my data folder correctly--I've been modding these games since Morrowind. What step to enable the game to load the custom assets did I miss? I did not make the crossed out change in that guide as it said not to. I had to create my own Fallout4Custom.ini. I did everything manually and am not using the NMM.
  5. I'm many hours into a playthrough, level 25 or so with JSawyer and hardcore. I've just arrived at the Lucky 38 for the first time and when I try to sleep in my bed in the presidential suite I get a crash a few hours in every time. I suspect it's when my hunger or dehydration increases. I tried disabling the Lucky 38 suite mod I have on and that didn't solve the problem. I don't know if the problem is mod-related because I've been using the same mods since the start of this playthrough and I've been sleeping 8-hour nights almost every night and waking up thirsty and hungry without issue, but I'll put my load order below in case anyone can spot anything telling in there. I guess I didn't start using the 4 gig enabler until recently because I was getting crashes in with open Freeside and the Strip open but I believe I've slept a few nights through since then? I'll see if I get the crash without the 4 gig enabler when I get home from work but that being the case would make my save worthless as going back to before I first entered Freeside would be too far back but the crashes there without the 4 gig enabler make the game almost unplayable. I also don't have auto-saves enabled. I hope there is a fix for this bizarre bug because having to sleep in small increments and wake up to drink and eat every couple hours for the rest of the game would be not worth doing. ----------------------------------------- FNV 4 gig enabler, NVSE version NVSE 0.2.0.12 FalloutNV.esm DeadMoney.esm HonestHearts.esm OldWorldBlues.esm LonesomeRoad.esm GunRunnersArsenal.esm ClassicPack.esm MercenaryPack.esm TribalPack.esm CaravanPack.esm FOOK - New Vegas.esm FOOK - New Vegas DLCs.esm Military Expansion Program.esm NSkies - Vanilla Edition.esm NVStripOpen.esm MikotoBeauty.esm DFB - Random Encounters.esm DLM_Dead Money Deans Blackmail holo fix.esp jsawyer.esp ReElijahfied.esp Veronica1.0.esp populatedcasino-light.esp NewVegasStripOverhaul.esp FOOK - New Vegas.esp FOOK - New Vegas DLCs.esp FOOK - JSawyer.esp CONELRAD 640-1240.esp DFB - Random Encounters - Honest Hearts Additions.esp DrugsAreBadMKay.esp dressup.esp Geonox_Riot_Armor.esp Geonox_Wasteland_outfits.esp ranger_leather.esp Seeker Armor.esp Seeker Veronica.esp Tailor Maid - NV.esp Tailor Maid Black Retex - NV.esp w44Satchels - lite.esp Realistic_Repair_NV.esp AllCompanionsEssential 2.0b.esp VeronicaFist.esp Improved VATS and Autoaim fix with Better Binoculars.esp Delay DLC - Dead Money. esp Delay DLC - Honest Hearts.esp Delay DLC - Old World Blues.esp Delay DLC - Lonesome Road.esp Dead Money - Automatic Rifle fix.esp No Weapon Remove Dead Money.esp EVE FNV.esp FNVEnhancedShaders - AA-DOF Enable.esp DYNAVISION 2 - Dynamic Lens Effect.esp ELECTRO-CITY - Imaginator.esp MikotoBeauty.esp FreesideOpen.esm FreesideOpenPatch.esp Lucky38ScavengerHome.esp Cosmetic Cigarettes.esp VeronicaLoveVerasOutfit.esp kockandbohr.esp athornysituation.esp awilderwasteland.esp outsidebets.esp CNR_Beta.esp StartNewGameAlmostPerfectOWB.esp Novac Motel - Couriers Room.esp Zombie Serenade.esp Better 'That Gun' .44 ammo.esp Game_NV_HistoryTraits.esp ArcadeGannon_RehireFix.esp Extra Characters - Fiends Quest ENABLED.esp Supercharged Traits.esp The Strip Credit Check 10000.esp Delay DLC - Gun Runners' Arsenal.esp StripOpenMain.esp Old World Blues Mojave Fixes.esp Old World Blues Nerfed.esp TopsToVault21.esp MyAtomicWranglerSuite.esp +re-textures and re-animations that shouldn't matter
  6. A routine disk check for some reason made my addins.xml blank but didn't touch anything in my addins or override folder. Because the stuff is still there, when I try to redownload any of the DLC it has an error installing. Will someone please, please go to their Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\Settings and either attach it here or open their Addins.xml with a notepad paste its contents? Reinstalling mods would be easy but this seems like the best way to re-activate the official addins without having to reinstall or something. I put this up on the Bioware forums but nobody wants to help me there I guess...
  7. Is it possible to mod a new Origin story? Would it have to replace an existing one?

  9. Yeah, I don't think there's an advantage or disadvantage, it's just if you want there to be humorous references in the game or not. I think it's a compromise between a lot of the developers from the first two Fallout games, which had a lot of humor, and the more serious tone of Fallout 3.
  10. The BioWare tutorial on the toolset Wiki doesn't explain how to create an item with a new texture without replacing an existing one (and my toolset crashes when I try to save it into the larger list of textures anyway). So could someone explain to me how to create an item with a custom texture?
