That's good to know because I was enjoying 'cutting room floor' before I had to delete everything and start over, and that's a mod that requires the unofficial patch. Just looked and the only version up is the latest one. I'll have to do without it.

I have found the culprit by uninstalling all my mods then reinstalling them one by one. There were insects in my game until I installed the unofficial patches, and it is the unofficial Skyrim patch that was doing it. The unofficial dlc patches won't launch the game on their own without the USP, and installing USP on its own makes the critters disappear. The mods I re-installed prior to the USP were graphics mods, so it could conflict with one of those. They are: Realvision ENB aMidianborn 2K textures ELFX superior rocks Audio overhaul Climates of Tamriel Real clouds realistic water two no snow under roof lanterns of skyrim SMIM So I guess I'll have to do without the unofficial patches - are there any foreseeable problems with that?

I have none of the flying insects that go to make up alchemy ingredients in Skyrim. Butterflies, Luna Moths, Dartwings, torchbugs and bees are all absent. Is there a way to get them back using console commands?

Just migrated from Xbox 360 to PC and have built up my computer to be able to play some powerful stuff. Having nearly had a brain haemorrage trying to get my PC to recognize my new hard drive, I have to laud those people who know how to get thing working on PC's - namely the modders. I am making baby steps in getting files into the right folders so I can take on the better mods that are MCM compatible, and it will be a while before I can start roleplaying in earnest. Thank you for all the brain work you have put into these programs, it's really awesome. I did play a heck of a lot of Skyrim on the 360 and did some game capture too Hoping to be able to make better roleplays with the resources you have shared, so an almighty thanks.
