  1. look at all the disasters this world has seen over the years both natural and manmade we adapt survive and overcome that simple. you cant do that if you aren't constantly thinking, improving, and learning. it don't take long before outlaw elements are torn down look at every society that has changed Rome, Persia, Egypt, England, Scotland, Ireland, and hundreds more every nation has undergone their bloody struggle but look at what was done in a short time. in 200 years you would think well the advance would be a tad better, not everyone is Einstein but they aint bubba gump neither. so yeah I can see raiders at first say 20 years tops then well things evolve. life finds a way it always does.
  2. dont need steel mills and fresh ore to keep your weapons in good working order and rust free, and as far as labor force, ya done had plenty of time for settlements to be more than started. that being said an old fashioned town blacksmith some hunters, and people to keep it all neat tidy and working right would not be too far out there. You have plenty of metal shoot I make knives from old railroad spikes, it doesn't take much to make a forge and to keep your attention on keeping your tools and equipment clean. good heavens society aint gonna stay total anarchy for long people do have brains and tend to use them when the need arises.
  3. ya know i can see alot of metal gets rusted i can see that, but come off it already armor that you intend to protect you aint one of those metals it should be dented yes scratched yes cracked yep that shows ya done something to get it that way but rusty weapons and armor NEVER that just shows lead butt lazyness and a total disregard for your own life after all rust will kill you faster than a bullet cause if your armor is rusty it means you aint taking care of it which in turn means it aint gonna take care of you a bullet will got through rust faster than hard steel every time and a clean sharp sword will lop off a head way faster than a rusty peice of junk...so ya wanna gripe about lore friendly keep that firmly in mind, i spent 8 years in the armed forces rust was not tolerated in any form anyplace period. full stop.
  4. if you have done all the steps for windows 10 try installing Microsoft visual studio express2015 desktop download. It will be slow starting the next time you run the game but once it starts up for bout 5 minutes you will see the difference.
  5. well seeing as I have lets see fallout 3, saints row 3, the original x-com series, skyrim, oblivion, assassins creed, and a host of other "old" games on my computer I would like to add there are more than a few folks playing those games modded or otherwise largely because they are fun pure and simple FUN I run one for months at a time then jump to another back and forth its better than cable tv and really isn't that what its all about when you get down to it if you want to mod something or make a mod if its what you yourself want to do DO IT have fun life is too short not to
  6. ok so got interested in this side due to oblivion then skyrim then saint row 3 then fallout 3 vampire the masquerade and quite a few others I don't have the knowledge, time, or money to invest in a real snazzy system to allow me to do the advanced modding a lot of you great folks do and wouldn't know what ta do with all of that if I had it, luckily for me yall are here and I can mix everything you folks work up together and tweak re tweak re tweak till I get just about where I want in the games you folks here mod so completely. I just want to thank each of you that put the time in to change 'what is' to "this is what I want it to be" your vision isn't what mine is , everyone is different, that what makes this so bloody fantastic, some like sticking to the story "lore" others don't some like to mix games others don't its the sum of all that and what you can do with it here that makes this site truly priceless. thank you all for the effort and thank you especially to any and all who read this the ravings of a 49 year old gaming nut...I started out on Atari, then Nintendo, then a dx2 system with widows 3.1 dos 6.0 them dos 6.22 then windows95.........now laptop windows 10 1tb 8 gig i5 what else need be said love video games. thank you all
