  1. I also had this bug with one of my characters. I simply loaded a savegame outside the garage, and entered it again, then it worked... If it doesnt work for you, try this console command: movetoqt it should teleport you to your quest destination, but i cant say if TL is the quest destination in this case.
  2. These methods helped me with my own savegame crash issues: a) Use CASM. It substitutes Vanilla game saving and generally works a lot better. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3729 b) Locate your savegame folder and delete all quicksaves, and savegames you don't need any longer. Then load a game a few stages earlier than your last save, and try Saving. If it works, try loading a later game until you find out which savegame is corrupt, and continue playing from the savegame right before that. You may loose a lot of progress of course. c) This method may not work, but i fixed a broken savegame with it: load game, equip grenade, and throw it to your feet. Or open console, type "player.kill". When your char dies, some animations will be reset. After that, saving should work. The downside is, you may have to repeat it everytime you start the game. d) http://amito.freehostia.com/Fallout/FO-tips.htm#Clean_Save
  3. did you read the post? Dwarf, I have a similar problem, but only from time to time. Sometimes, after switching weapons in a firefight, my movement speed slows down to about the 50%. The movement animation is still the running animation, but its slo-mo. I could always resolve it by opening the pipboy and switching weapons and clothes a few times. I dont really know what causes this, but i think its one of the mods which use FOSE scripts, or FOSE itself. Maybe you can narrow it down by deactivating FOSE or installing another version.
  4. Wow thats quite a bunch of mods. And quite a weird bunch of errors you got there. Well i once experienced similar problems, so i hope these tips help: Disable ALL mods and DLCs, keep only Alternate start. create character, type tmm 1 in console, warp to Megaton and see if it works. If not, then you gotta re-install i think. If it works, save your game, exit and enable some mods. Load your game. If it works enable more and more, and so on. You could also start a new game every now and then and warp to Megaton just to be sure if it works with a new char. With this method i could get my fubar fallout back to work. About your load order, i'll just post my ESM load order, try arranging your Esm files like this: [X] Fallout3.esm [X] Lings.esm [ ] HairPack.esm (currently not activated cos i use Lings Coiffure which is better, but i always loaded it right before the DLCs and it worked fine) [X] Anchorage.esm [X] ThePitt.esm [X] BrokenSteel.esm [X] PointLookout.esm [X] Zeta.esm [X] CALIBR.esm [X] CRAFT.esm [X] 20th Century Weapons.esm [X] Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow.esm [X] Sharing and Caring Companions.esm [X] DCInteriors_ComboEdition.esm [X] ArefuExpandedByAzar.esm [X] Mart's Mutant Mod.esm [X] LingsFinerThings.esm Try arranging the DLCs in the order in which they came out. Try deactivating Hairpack.esm and all ESPs that use it, because you got Lings Coiffure which adds the same haircuts and more. Most of the ESP-only mods you have, well i never heard of them, so i cant help with that, sorry. Oh and i really hope you installed ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated, or use FOMM to apply Invalidation. Some of the errors you described sound like you didnt. And also check your FO3 folders, see if theres any textures or meshes folder, or bsa file that doesnt belong there. Happened to me that i accidently installed a mod's textures and meshes into the FO3 root folder instead of the Data folder. Thats all i can contribute, good luck! -Volek PS: please tell us which FO3 version you have installed. might help someone to indentify the problem. I updated to 1.4 and my game works like a charm with 160+ mods, no crashes, wierd errors etc.
  5. My weirdest experience ever was in the Arlington Library. It was really creepy. I was playing an evil character, and had already killed everyone inside the library. I stopped playing in the room where Raiders fought against BoS, after saving my game. In the next night, i loaded the savegame to play on, and then it started. All books and other random clutter in the library room where flying everywhere, like it was a bunch of Poltergeists throwing them around. Omg it first scared the poo outta me, i couldnt believe it. I reloaded the game and it happened again. Reloading any other game before that didnt produce this effect, but this particular savegame was bewitched. But that wasnt all. I heard a weird noise from one corner of the building... It was a corpse of a BoS soldier, which was stuck in a floor. The upper body was in the first floor, the legs were in the ground floor. It was dancing all around, and made a noise like hell. I tried to stop it by shooting at it, didnt work. I just left the place and never came back....
  6. Sorry for getting out of topic, but i know many people have trouble running TES:Arena. I gathered these infos from several forums and tuts all over the almighty google, and by trying and failing and trying again. If my files dont work, search for yourself ;) OK, if you can't get the game to run smoothly, you could try this: Run the game with these DOSBOX settings: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4091016/arena.conf Start the game with this batch file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4091016/arena.bat Copy both files to your DOSBOX folder. You gotta edit the batch file and enter your Arena installation path. After starting the batch file, type "arena" to start the game. If the music doesnt run smoothly, try to decrease or increase CPU cycles. My standard value is 24000 cycles, and my game plays the music just fine with these settings. After a while the game starts to run very slow and laggy, especially in boss & quest dungeons like Fang Lair or Labyrinthian. In this case just press ESC and reduce detail to a minimum. . Then the game and the music run smoothly, I didnt notice big differences to the maximum detail setting.
  7. Morrowind was my first TES game, i just loved it. Imho it's still one of the best games out there, i played it a very long time. Until my character was able to fly from one end of the map to the other within a few minutes :) I played TES:Oblivion a long time too, it was fun, but i never finished the main quest. I went thru all oblivion gates before doing the main quest, after that it was kinda boring going to all oblivion areas again. My fault, but it ruined the game for me :( I currently play TES:Arena. I think it's a great game, the dungeons sometimes give me the creeps... I did not try Daggerfall yet, but i'll get it on after i finish Arena. IF i ever gonna finish Arena, it's an open world game ;)
  8. DOOM is one of my favorite games ever. I played thru it so many times, i can't count. I bought several CDs with new levels and mods. I made my own mods with Doom Construction Kit and HackEd. Currently i play DOOM 2 with the ZDoom engine, and with the excellent mod "Aeons of Death", which adds a lot of weapons and enemies from other classic shooters like Heretic, Hexen, Duke3D, Blood and Shadow Warrior to the game.
  9. Thanks for the suggestions. I got permission to use P94 plasma rifle and MEC Gauss Minigun, so these will be in my mod. I already downloaded Classic Fallout Weapons, the Vindicator is a must for my mod. And i found a mod that adds a M79 Grenade Launcher, permissions pending... Why only Big Guns? Well i thought Small Guns just don't look right in supermutant hands. But maybe i change my mind. I dont know what M60, Light support Weapon and YK42B Pulse Rifle look like in muties hands, but i'll check it out. Of course the muties in my mod also fight unarmed and melee style. And my mod introduces 2 new ranks, the lowest rank gets only nailboard or is barefisted, the highest rank gets Gatling Laser, Gauss Minigun or Vindicator.
  10. Hello people of the Nexus! I recently created a mod that overhauls Supermutant health, weapons, loot etc. Major difference to Vanilla is, Muties don't use any Small Guns (which looked ridiculous in their hands). I know there's already a mod for this out there, but that one's pretty much unbalanced imo. And mine is 100% MMM compatible. There may be more mods of this kind, but i dont know of any others. My mod works well so far and i could release it, but during testing i noticed that it could get a little boring after a while in DC. That's because the muties only fight with 4 different guns: Minigun, Missile launcher, Flamer and Gatling laser. Not much variety around you see. I got a request: do you know any mod that adds a Big Gun? If so, please tell me. I'd like to ask the author for permission to implement it into my mod. Or, if you made such a mod yourself, and would like to see it in my mod, please post a link so i can download and start working rightaway! I already asked DaiShiHUN for permission to use the Winchester P94 plasma rifle, i hope for a positive answer. So long, i will continue my search for big guns...
