  1.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 3

Install the game else where too, the system will not let you run things on 7 in that location.

C:\games or any name will do.

Tell steam to install it some where else.

I changed the install location, put the ini and dll files back where they needed to be, but nope no luck, i guess this just isnt going to work but thanks anyway :)

  2.

Okay thanks, i have added the ini and the dll files to the correct places, ill get back to you when ive reinstalled the game

This isn't possible. The xlive.dll is an .exe file that has to have the Fallout 3 folder already created. You will not have the folder is you uninstalled the game. If you install over whatever file into which you placed the xlive.dll, it will be overwritten and you will have to install it again. You could not have edited the .ini since the game has to be run from the launcher in order for the file to be created.

Yeah i only realised that after i posted the reply

In the requirements of fallout 3 it has a list of compatible graphics cards, does this mean that if you are using anything over than these cards you will not be able to play it? Because i have tried every single fix there is out there to fix the windows 7 problem with fallout 3 and now i am just starting to doubt the possibility of me even being able to play the game.

    Thanks in advance

p.s My graphics card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

need more info, is the main processor intel?

where is the game installed at?

    PC specs please...

    kitty

Okay ill answer these in the order you gave them to me in.

Yes my main processor is intel it is a Intel Core i5 M430 @ 2.27Ghz

The game is installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 3

And as for the specs of my laptop, you already have CPU and GPU, i have 3GB of RAM and running on Windows 7.

Sorry if i missed anything out im new to all this stuff but if anything else is required, let me know and ill get it for you. :)

  5.

Enhanced Shaders ENB has several quality settings packaged with it, you could try that one.

Thanks, ill get back to you with the results

Nope im still unable to run it, even on the lite version, even with low settings. Fow now is there anyway i can go back to the way the game was before i installed any enb's until i find one that i can run?

  6. Hey, I recently discovered the wonder of ENB's (i know im a bit late) anyway, i absolutely love the way they look, like they are amazing, but i have quite a low end machine as i play on my laptop and i was wondering if any of you could help me to pick a ENB that my machine can run comfortably.

    Here's my specs:

    CPU: Intel Core i5 CPU M430 2.27GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz

GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

    RAM: 3072MB

(I dont know a whole lot about the specs but theres the basics that i know)

If any other info is needed leave a comment and ill get it for you.

    Thanks in advance.

  7. You'd need an extra model of the rifle with a silencer attached, if I'm not mistaken.

For example, the 10mm pistol has

    Weapons\1HandPistol\10mmPistol.nif

and when you put a silencer on it, it uses

    weapons\1handpistol\10mmpistolsilenced.nif

    instead.

So you could take the silencer part of the varmint rifle mesh, put it on the service rifle, save that as a new mesh and put the path to it in the "Mod Info" tab in the GECK.

(Could be more complicated than that, what with 1st person meshes and such, but I think that's the gist of it - separate mesh.)

Yeah this worked perfectly. I've literally been trying to do this for a month. I need to come to the forums more often, Thanks Looca xD

  8. So i was trying to make a silencer for a service rifle, i added the mod and everything. So i can add a varmint rifle silencer to the service rifle and it will become 'silenced' but i want the silencer to actually appear on the weapon model. Can someone tell me how to do this? (if it's even possible)
