  3. Hello, I've just reinstalled Morrowind for the first time in years, installing the MOISE mod list using Wabbajack - plus Project Tamriel mod. Everything is fine and very pretty, except the journal is totally blank. Any idea what could be wrong? DANNY
  4. Hi, I have just installed Xcom without any mods on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Unfortunately the mouse (and my Thrustmaster Gamepad) is totally non-responsive, only the keyboard works. Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks, DANNY

  6. Got a little problem that is driving me mad . Yesterday I decided to do a completely fresh install of FNV, as I've been 'mucking about' with it for years (countless mods installed, reinstalled, uninstalled, updated, etc). Anyway, everything is the same as before - or so it seemed - except I installed the very latest version of The Nexus Mod Manager (upgrading from 0.20.0 to 0.21.0) and ditto for The Mod Configuration Menu (upgrading from 1.2 to 1.5). However, now DarNified UI conflicts/clashes with Project Nevada and TMCM, no matter which order I install and uninstall them. And when I tried MTU I got the same result (actually, in fact, MTU did not work or change anything - the vanilla/huge fonts remained). Both mods just 'crash' TMCM and PN - yet DarNified worked perfectly before, never any problem. Meaning that I get error messages like "There seems to be a problem with your PN installation because the HUD extension was not detected", "the Mod Configuration Menu cannot access the menu files", etc. Yes, I am using the very latest version of NVSE, and all the other mods work fine (and I've got hundreds!). Very frustrating, as I find the game all but unplayable with these big, ugly, default, fonts/icons. Also, yes again, running FNVMasterUpdate and making a Merged Patch makes no difference (vis-a-vis DarNified UI and MTU). Furthermore, I am using One HUD and Unified HUD but that does not seem to make any difference either. And unfortunately, I cannot track down an older version of TMCM (ie, v.1.2). Got any ideas for me? Thanks, DANNY
  7. Hi, I started a new game, but still no luck - it always crashes at the Saloon. And it makes no difference Deactivating all the mods (and/or DLC). Whatever you do, it always crashes! So, unfortunately, I have to abandon the game the until some sort of fix appears (new official patch/update, unofficial patch, mod fix, etc). Thanks, DANNY
  8. Hi, I edited the FalloutNV.exe file in that way because some other guy (on this forum, I think) had the same problem - and he said that 'trick' worked for him :rolleyes: . Yes, I've tried deactivating All my mods & DLC, but to no avail. Yes, I've turned off all AA, etc - but no good. I guess I'll just have to start a new game (again!) and hope that works! Thanks, DANNY
  9. Hi, Whenever I try to enter the Prospectors Salon, it always crashes (normally freezes, sometimes CTDs). I've tried everything I can think of - Deactivating all mods, Deactivating all DLC, making a new Merged Patch, doing a MasterUpdate (using FNVEdit), editing the Fallout NV.exe file (using CFF Explorer).   15. Hi, After installing, and then uninstalling, the vMod Suite I found that my Right Mouse Button/Mouse 2 Button has stopped working - making the game effectively unplayable, of course :biggrin: . I started a new game, but that didn't help. Setting Controls (keyboard/mouse) to Default did not change anything (though nothing looked out of order). So I've reached an impasse. I have the latest official patch(es) and the latest versions of NVSE and FOMM. Up until installing/uninstalling the vMod Suite everything was working fine.   16. Yes, thanks for reply - I use both the mod managers, and that appears to be what they are doing. Also, I had a quick read of the 'Mods for Dummies' FAQ (which I should have read first, of course!) and that clearly states that it is best to put them in the My Documents Override folder.   17. Hi, Stupidly obvious question, perhaps - but when installing mods, which is the 'best' Override folder to use: the one in My Documents or the one inside the actual game directory itself? I ask because I started installing, as a matter of course - or without thinking - dumping my mods in the game's Override folder. But then I noticed that that quite a few of the mod Read Mes talked about installing the mods into the My Document's Override folder - so now I've got my mods scattered fairly evenly between the two folders? It probably doesn't really matter at all, but any advice would be grateful, Thanks, DANNY

Hi, I've just installed the Dead Money DLC and the very latest version of NVSE - as the game wouldn't start unless I did so (ie, got the message: "you are using a new version of Fallout than this version of NVSE supports", etc). Great, set up to rock 'n' roll. However, I now can't get DarNified UI to work! :confused: . I've uninstalled and re-installed several times - using FOMM naturally. But no luck. Yes, I've followed all the instructed, edited my 'ini' file, etc - but nothing. Got any ideas or advice for me? (as there is no way I'm playing the game with those pig ugly, enormous default/vanilla fonts and so on!!). Thanks, DANNY
  20. Hi, I know that I will stand exposed to the world as an idiot for asking this :biggrin: , but how exactly - using FOMM - do you install mods which only contain a .FOMOD file? That is, do you select 'Add FOMod', 'Create FOMod', 'Create from Folder', 'Add PFP', etc. For example, the Desert Succubus Core mod contains only one file - ie, 'Shiloh DS - DS-CORE 1.02 Beta.fomod' - and when I selected it with 'Add FOMod', it said 'file name/extension not recognised' (or something like that), etc. Should I extract it into a separate folder, leave it as it is, or something else. Also, in a related question, what should I do with mods that contain both .ESP files and .FOMOD files? Like, for instance, the Centred Third Person Camera mod, which in its Read Me file says: "MANUAL INSTALLATION 1. Place the esp files in your Fallout New Vegas data directory. 2. But I'm still not entirely sure what this means with regards the 'Mod Manger' option - by using 'Add FOMod' , which means it has to be a compressed format?   21. Hi, For some reason, FO3Edit won't allow me to create a Merged Patch anymore. That is, when I right click in the left panel nothing appears - ie, no context menu. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks, DANNY
