    do you mean when OBSE and Oblivion are the only two things installed (vs when OBMM BOSS OBGE etc are also installed)?

    Edit: If I remove the the contents of the obse/plugins directory, oblivion loads just fine. Is there a preferred way of installing the .dll other than manually?

    It is installed to program files as I had more trouble installing it elsewhere.

     

    I'm running windows 7 and I haven't had any issues with UAC at all. It's also turned off. OBSE worked fine by itself until I installed some of the other utilities.

    I have tried it with the plugin both enabled and disabled to no avail.

     

    I forgot to mention that my keyboard and mouse dont respond whilst the menu is looping, I have to use task managaer to shut oblivion down. I can escape past the bethesda logos prior to that just fine though.

     

    This has been driving me crazy all day!

    Hi there. I'm sure this is the result of me installing something in the wrong order but as I don't know which program is causing it, I'm finding it hard to troubleshoot. Though I have searched.

     

    If I launch oblivion via the obse_loader in my oblivion directory, or via the OBSE launcher (using the 'with obse' option), my game never loads the main menu, continuing to loop on the cyrodiil map. This doesn't happen if I have obse installed alone.

     

    The only things that I do currently have installed are boss, obmm, obse, obge, standalone bash, the obse universal silent voice as well as all of the official content and the unofficial patch and mod patch. I'm running GOTY edition.

     

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi im relatively new to the world of modding and graphic overhauling and the like

     

    the only reason i bothered was beacuses with skyrim coming out later this year i thought it was time to relive the glory days ES I - IV :) and since the option was there with MGE to establish better graphics i whooped at the oportunity to but im not sure exactly how do proceed - ive been following the 2011 compendium blah blah however ive fallen in a hole when using the MGE where by when i use the distant land file creation wizard the steps work all the way to until i reach the button where it says to "Create Land Meshes" and then it goes over to ther statics tab and then comes up with the message

     

    System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'MGE3/MGEfuncs.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

     

    And then simply sends me back to the Tools tab in MGE

     

    im no computer experts just a fan of morrowind can some1 help me :)

     

    oh yeah my specs are win vista 2gb ram Dual processor 64 X2 4800+ 2.5 ghz and um ATI Radoen HD 5600 1 gb series if thats got 2 do with anything

    I would try uninstalling MGE, make sure that you run Morrowind without MGE then try reinstalling the latest version. 3.8.2 SVN_rev-178, I believe. (It works fine for me).

    Oh and another question: I know I need MWSE for some mods but I also want to use Morrowind FPS optimizer to change my fov and aspect ratio.

    How can I start the game with both these enabled?

     

    I wouldn't use MWSE unless you see a mod that requires it which you really want to play. You change your aspect ratio and FOV using MGE (which has a built in version of MWSE so you don't need to install MWSE seperately) not FPS optimiser. PlanetElderscroll is definitely your best bet for Morrowind mods and there are many threads and active posters that would help you out with mods, graphics and otherwise on the official forums.

    Would like to install and run the Morrowind Code Patch, but every time I try to run it, it tells me that Windows has denied installation. I run Win 7 and am the Admin on my laptop. Would greatly appreciate any help, as I am new to mods, but love Morrowind.

     

    Win 7

    650 GB HD

    ATI Radeon

    6 GB Ram

     

    if you extract the folder to a familiar location such as a your desktop, you can copy and paste the files in that folder into your morrowind directory, you should be able to run it fine from there

    Well, I did try PMing him through PES and I still haven't heard back. I'd like to use the mod, but I don't know if I want to use it if I have to find another means to get there other than how the player is supposed to. That's if there is another way aside from using the console.

     

    try moving the mod later or even closer to last in your load order, this should overcome any potential mod conflicts in 8 plates that might be preventing the npc from appearing

    Better Balmora ground textures?

    I got Qarls texture pack for Morrowind, but I really don't like the ground textures in Balmora. I don't like the leaves, because Balmora doesn't have many tress, and the rocks with the moss in between just don;t look very good to me, so does anyone know where I can find textures that are more true to the original textures?

    Looks like regular Morrowind to me with a texture pack and MGE, perhaps tweaked weather settings.

    Guys. From where are you downloading the shendai claws? Is it the windows live account? Because I was perfectly fine downloading those with Firefox. All you need to do is click on the thumbnail of the open file and use "save as".

    If you still get an error, I'll bring the file tomorrow (i am at a university computer right now) and give you a link.

    Thank you for your kind words.

     

    Edit: OK downloading the file with IE made no difference. Whether I download with IE or Firefox as I originally did, the same thing happens - shendai.rar just sits in the nami application at 0%.

    As I mentioned in a previous post, I have managed to download files from the website successfully before. Any help would be appreciated.

    I only managed to find one download link with this info which appeared to be broken/expired. I have downloaded successfully from this website before. :(
