  1. Hey I'm looking for a couple of weapon mods MXR reviewed. The first one was a great re-do of the vanilla weapons. They were all longer and more elegant. (I think it was mesh and texture) The other one drastically changed the appearance of the quest reward items and I think buffed the enchantments. Thanks for the help!
  2. That's why I'm keeping Windows XP for now. I'll install on Windows and according to what i've heard, Skyrim SHOULD use my existing data file to play. If not, I have this handy thing called a stick drive to port them over. If SKSE works, I'm sure some other mod manager will be quick to follow. Windows pissed too many people off this time. Thanks so much for the info! With Steam running on Linux now the time has come to start my switch! ... cause there is no way I'm giving those idiots at Microsoft money in a year...
  3. Does anyone here play Skyrim with Linux? Ubuntu to be exact. I was told by a friend that since Linux doesn't eat your ram how Windows does, that it might run faster. I'm planning on keeping XP for the programs that aren't compatible with WINE (I've been researching. I am literally downloading Ubuntu now.) I had been planning on giving Linux a try to see if I could free myself from Windows. I saw on a youtube video that I needed to type a command but I couldn't understand the guy (lol). Could one of you kind people link me to a good tutorial or walk me through the process? Also - will I be able to use SKSE and my existing mod (data) files or will I have to transfer my mods via stick drive? Thanks for the info!
  4. Someone uploaded a hunger/sleep mod today that looked pretty good. I'm waiting for a version of COBAL though before I go realistic.
  5. Do you know about the beautiful hairs? PM me if you don't... include a JUNK email address lol. There's also a recently ported SKS hair that is beyond adorable you might be interested in... Also, I know Apachii is working on a freakin amazing hair mod that includes some short styles. It should be out as soon as she fixes a few bugs.
  6. Not sure about the Duck feet but try searching for Better Males here on the Nexus. Also doing a search in textures for bodies. I THINK the person that did the CBBE body also did a male version... or was it the UMP body... PM me if you have trouble!
  7. Allow me to quote myself... TO. EACH. THEIR. OWN. You've already got one topic locked tonight, are you going for two?
  8. The best advice I can give, if you can't say something nice (or at least neutral) then keep your mouth shut (or your fingers off the keyboard). The last thing that is needed is another flame war (and Morwyn, it seems are if you are trying to start one). I thought that the "turn your horse into a my little pony character" mod was the stupidest thing I had ever seen. However, I just rolled my eyes and moved on. I felt no need to post a comment such as "kill it with fire" or any such nonsense like that. Just don't download it, DON"T comment, and move on with your life. I respect the OP for wanting to discuss this and yes, there have been a lot of haters recently. Let's all just get along, K?
  9. You get a Kudo for that. The only thing I wish is that mods were tagged a bit better. I'm not a lore nut but I'm not going to have my little pony horses either. To each their own.
  10. Saw what on youtube? I know that they are working on a system that will support mods for xbox. I do not believe they are there yet. Even when they do have that system set up, you won't be able to get anything that is not on steam. As far as I know, mod sites have no intention of allowing platform uploads. As far as steam goes, I have been surprised what has been uploaded there so maybe you will be able to get what you want once the console support is there.
  11. Also, why the heck isn't anyone answering these peoples questions? I see a MAXIMUM of two answers per page. I'll try to get on here to answer more but the Nexus DOES annoy me sometimes. (A bit less now that the CK is out). For anything Hair or Terra related, I will have the answer. PM me. For anything that exists in Skyrim that can't be found on the Nexus, the odds are good that if I don't know, I can point you to someone who will. PM me. Warning: If I'm feeling lazy I'll just point you towards a site. It will be your job to register and ask there. I'll try to be good about answering my PMs.
  12. I'm pretty sure that's the Peggy Sims hair found on the Nexus. Just do a search for it.
  13. The fact is, no matter how much you dislike the anime inspired mods, they probably inspired something you do like. Normally, our foreign, Oriental friends are the ones that manage to crack HOW to do something, how to make a new mesh-shape the game hasn't seen before for instance. I can guarantee you that though you hate, for instance, the gundam armor mod by The arrow and knee mod team, something you DO like will come of someone looking at the mesh (or copying it then changing it some) and making it "lore friendly". As for the hair, I'm sorry but vanilla hair for the elder scrolls games is crap. Maybe if Bethesda learned how to make a decent hair style we wouldn't have so many ported in from the Sims games. I host a hairs thread with just about every hair ever made for Skyrim shared on either a stable link, or uploaded to my storage account. PM me for the link. Should we have a separate link for the anime inspired stuff? No. Should we respectfully ask that an anime inspired mod say that it is so in the description so that the lore nuts won't have a conniption fit? Probably. The fact is, the best facial mods - the only ones currently out that give my character a cute nose - are "anime inspired". I bet some of you use the Oriental Beauty mod. Until that came out, I used the lightning face texture from the lighting mod. (And considering that what they just came out with is a real person look alike mod, I think the moderators derped in taking that one off the Nexus.) I bet a lot of you used modular beautiful people ++ in Oblivion. There's a place for everything and everyone in modding. Don't get pissed just because a certain genre of mods happens to show up here. I wish that there was no such thing as a private mod, that everything (legal) was shared freely across country borders... anime inspired or not.
  14. To me the lighting face mod does a way better job of beautifying the character. You can find it in the downloads section of the site you found the young sister race at. For pics of the mod in action, check out my screenies. If you are confused which site I mean, pm me. I can't mention that site here. lol
