Not going to really spoil anything major but put that in the title just incase. Basically I've got to the point where Dogmeat needs to sniff the sunlight cigars to search out Kellogg, however I didn't do that and instead decided to carry on with some side quests, because I really don't want to get to the point where I've killed Kellogg and the BoS have come before I've done some things like joined the Minutemen and found Danse etc, which I have yet to do because of my own in-game reasons, It's just my weird RP routine. However after doing some quests I realised Dogmeat is not with me, now I WANT dogmeat to be with me for some of the side quests i'm going to do, but I don't want to go all the way back to the point where we enter Kelloggs house, and I also don't want the story to progress to the point where Dogmeat takes us the fort, again stupid RP reasons. Is there a way using Console Commands, that I can somehow... pause the Reunions quest, take Dogmeat with me as normal, then when i'm ready, use commands again to resume the quest from that point? I tried using commands to delete the quest item cigar from my inventory, but Dogmeat still has the 'show cigar' prompt. Thanks for any advice!

How do I preview and edit presets in the GECK

I know this is old but I want to see if I get a reply to this (I know I wont). EDIT: Didn't realise this get's bumped to the top, hopefully I will then) Do I have to keep that original save that I made the face on around in order for this to work, or once the face is transferred to the esp is that it, can I then delete the original save? EDIT AGAIN: I sort of used my brain and now that I've succesfully completed the whole process understand that I obviously don't need the original save. -
Quick question, i'm wanting to edit a face in CK as I find it easier and less limiting than the customiser in-game. I remember on Skyrim and Fallout 3/NV you could drag bits of the face round from the preview window, but I can't quite figure out or remember how to do it on the Fallout 4 Geck. Also when I try using the sliders, even the slightest slider push has to 'update' for about half a minute, which is not efficient in the slightest, but I don't know whether that has to do with the ENB being active in the preview, could anybody give me any help on how to get rid of that? Using the usual buttons to enable/disable don't work in CK. Cheers.

Fallout 4 refusing to load or start New Game?

Solved, I think I just needed to update DEF UI like a lot of people are saying to do now. -
So since the update, I've not been able to play F4 beyond the Main Menu, that includes trying to load saves, and starting a new game, the whole thing CTD's. Things I've tried: 1. Disabling all my mods and trying to play 2. Reenabling all my mods and trying to play 3. Playing from the original exe rather than F4SE Nothing seems to do the trick. Does anyone have any advice for me? I really cba reinstalling the whole thing again as well my mods, I'll probably just stop playing for a good while if that is my final option.

I've had a little experience with the GECK, and I can make some educated guesses on how to edit facial presets (right now i'm guessing its the preset NPC's under HumanRace), but I can't for the life of me figure out how to (or even if you can) preview the race so you can see the changes you are making, I remember it was just a little box that you ticked or something on the other Creation Kit's. Any help would be very appreciated

Even before Fallout 4 was released, I told myself I would not install any mods until the Creation Kit came out, just so I can be sure the mod was created through more... polished means, i guess? And so any mods I download now don't clash with mods created in the CK later down the line. But some of the mods that are coming out look so crazy good and professionally made, I really didn't expect this to even be possible til the CK is released. So yeah, my question is, do you think it is worth waiting for the Creation Kit to come out before installing, or should I just start now?

Basically, I wanted to remove the Dragon Skulls in JK's Whiterun, for personal use, purely because it bothered me slightly that these Dragon Skulls were hanging around despite the fact Dragon's hadn't even arrived in the world yet. I headed into Creation Kit, made JK's Skyrim the active file, grabbed those skulls and hit delete, save. Is that all there is to it? Is there anything else I need to do or should that be it? I'm worried about breaking something?

Okay, so i'm trying to install a number of mods to improve skeletons, animations, textures and weapon placements, the only thing is, I can't seem to install them in the correct order, something always goes wrong. Right now, the animation plays as if the player reaches for swords on his back, but the weapon is sheathed in the hip, same goes for daggers, also, my secondary weapon is not sheathed on me at all, but rather is UNDER me, following me around, clipped into the floor? Does anyone think that if I give you a list of the mods I need to install, they could give me a bit of advice? Basically, I want to use XP32 Skeleton, Dual Sheath Redux to have swords on my back, i'm also trying to use Immersive Animations (are they worth the hassle?), I also have FNIS and Realistic Ragdolls and Force because I understand you need that. Then lastly I also want to install 360 Walk and Run. Could anybody inform on the best way to install these to work correctly? And if Immersive Animations is worth getting instead of the using the default Dual Sheath Animations?

Okay, so basically, I'm using XPMS Skeleton, Immersive Animations and Dual Sheath Redux, so I can manually select where I want my weapons to be placed, such as swords on the back, however when in game, the pc will play the animation as if he is reaching for the swords on the back, but they are sheathed on the hip like usual. Anybody have any idea why this is? I've done a complete re install of the game and mods, making sure everything is stable every step of the way, load order is correct, using FNIS, SkyProc Patcher, but this is one of the only problems i'm having as of now. And advice would be appreciated.

Yes I use LOOT, everything else is stable, except in my mission to fix this problem, it seems entering Whiterun turns into an infinite loading screen, even on a new game, and when loading a save IN whiterun, it always crashes to desktop in the square just outside the Tavern. Atleast, that was happening, now it seems when I load the game up, I barely see the Skyrim logo before CTD. Could anybody take a look at my load order and give me any advice? Thanks in advance! (ps it's a pretty hefty load order so apologies in advance too!)

Hey, I haven't played Skyrim in a while but I wan't to get back into it. I have a heavily modded (but stable) Skyrim, however for some reason certain lights seem to only activate when I'm near them, which creates a flickering effect from different sources as I run around a room. I thought it might have something do with having both ELFX and RLO years ago (I know, I was an idiot), but the issue still persists even after uninstalling RLO. I have no other conflicting lighting mods so anyone have any idea what that could be? I was told a while ago it could be because even after uninstalling RLO, the nif's still persist in the data files? Any one have any idea which nif's those would be, where to find them, and which ones I should delete, if that is the case?

Hey, I haven't played Skyrim in a while but I wan't to get back into it. Before I stopped playing I was messing around with Body's and BBP etc, now that I've come back to it, I've found I've messed up some how. I have CBBE Bodies and BBP, but some of the clothing and armour clips through female characters, I've tried re-installing stuff, messing around with CalienteTools, I can't figure it out, can anyone help me out? I'll get a list of mods i'm using in a second. Thanks. It's a pretty hefty load order, if your willing to help and read through it then sorry about that :')

Okay, question, I want to have the CBBE body and bounce physics, I also want the 360 Walk Mod, and I want the bounce to only effect nude and clothing, rather than Armour aswell. Can someone list the best way to go about this, everything i've tried has failed at one point or another..

My Skyrim is quite heavily modded but I'm pretty positive I have no other conflicting lighting mods so anyone have any idea what that could be? EDIT: Realised I probably put this in the wrong place, could have put it in Troubleshooting, if a Mod wants to move it then no worries.

How would one go about customizing face textures for your player (Male and Female), as opposed to changing them for every NPC of the same race? Anyone have any advice?

I've recently been experimenting with different body types and clothing/armour mods to match those body types using different mods as well as bodyslide, what I have now is a mess of different clothes/armours being set to different body types, I want to reset the body type back to vanilla as well as all the clothes/armours, but so far no matter how many body/armour mods I uninstall there is always something still wrong, the body is somehow sticking out of the equipped outfit etc. Is there anyway to reset the body/clothes/armour type all back to vanilla?

Would it be at all possible to create make up textures for your characters face and have different styles that are equippable from the Inventory? Or is that out of the realms of possibility? Or even have equippable makeup from the Character Creator?

I need help, I've made a Hair mesh complete with textures etc. I've made it on 3DSMax, the only problem is now I need to import the head nif I think to fit the hair to the head correctly, however I can't import nifs on 3DSMax, i've tried installing a Nif plugin but that hasn't worked either, can anyone help me out here? Any suggestions on how to get this working?

Download the updated SKSE, did everything I needed to, copied the dlls and loader, created a file in NMM for the Data file included with the Archive and now when I hit the SKSE Loader, it tries to run through Steam, and so Skyrim isn't running in SKSE (evident by the fact that a lot of my mods have warned me that they can't find SKSE). Am I doing something painfully wrong? I've followed Gophers video and still have the problem? EDIT: Hold on, sorry, I've just ran it as Administrator and I think it's working now.. yep, it's working, sorry about that, case closed :)

When I enter conversation with NPC's their Mouth animates slower than the audio, so after the audio finishes their mouths are still moving. Also, when NPC's talk out of conversation, there is no Mouth movement at all. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I've heard it came with the 1.9 Update but I don't remember seeing it before, I've had this issue for past 2 months, which has put me off playing Skyrim.. I was told it might be something to do with the Skyrim.ini or Skyrimprefs.ini file so I should Delete them.. well.. I can't delete them.. obviously? And i'm afraid something will go wrong if I try to reinstall the game, so anyone have any ideas? EDIT: Sort of discovered this is quite a big problem with 1.9, so why have modders not fixed this yet, is there no fix out at the moment?
