  1. Well. I suppose your right. I just hope there are mods out soon that help fix and correct these issues with the inability to influence politics outside of fighting for the Imperials or Stormcloaks. For now, I'll just kill the Thieves Guild and Black Briars and imagine the guards did it for resisting arrest.
  2. I don't recall Mass Effect having this size of immersion-breaking fault, though. Sure, there were problems with the conversational system in Mass Effect, but not to this scale. Each quest had a full spectrum of how to deal with it, and you didn't have to scream at your computer screen "BUT I HAVE PROOF! I HAVE IT ALREADY!" This just seems like a huge oversight, and it does remain that people don't just tell other people how powerful they are in the criminal underworld, even if they have their hands in the pockets of the government and police.
  3. Yeah. So. First thing someone does in Riften is talk to me about how the Black-Briars are connected with the Thieves Guild. I'm wondering why he tells this information to every stranger that walks into the town, especially since it's not something that you'd want the Jarl to learn about. I go talk to the Jarl, who tells me that the Black-Briars are 'investigating' the Thieves Guild, and I wonder why I can't tell her that they aren't. I see if I need proof, and break into the Black Briar's house to get those letters off her desk, which I think is proof. Nope, still can't tell her about the corruption right under her nose. So, instead I decide to see if I can talk to Maven about it, get a confession. Well, it wasn't hard, since she has only one conversation option and in that she admits without a second thought that she has connections to both the Thieves Guild AND the Dark Brotherhood. Imagine some stranger walking up to you in the street to talk, and you were the top man of a criminal organization that specialized in assassinating people, or someone who hired them frequently. Would you tell that stranger without getting to know them, first? Most likely, you wouldn't tell them at all. But the NPCs in Riften seem to think it fitting to tell everyone that they're evil people, yet you don't get any options to get them arrested. No quests to root out the Thieves Guild or clear Riften of it's corruption. This is a huge immersion breaker.
  4. Yeah. I have a Khajit with bright purple hair to make... and I was REALLY disappointed when I figured out that the hair color slider was restricted to a certain few 'natural' colors. The rest of the character creation system I can deal with... I never liked working hours on a character to get the face JUST RIGHT... I just hit randomize until it got close and tweaked from there. I just need those damned hair color sliders. That is all.
  5. That's very true, but there should be mods that make it at least a LITTLE bit more beleivable.
  6. Is it just me, or are the settlements in Fallout 3 quite... stupid? Megaton and Rivet City are both quite small for settlements 200 years after the war. And neither of them are very self sufficient. They don't have farms or big bramin pens like Arefu does, or even the Republic of Dave. And those two are just teeny tiny things, with 10 people or less! Evergreen Mills, the raider place, is MUCH more realistic a settlement. Its large, self-sufficient, and FUN as well. Because who would want to sit in a bar all post-apocolypse? People are always going to be looking for whores. So, my question is, why aren't there any mods to fix these issues? I know there is Arefu expanded, a mod I personally use, and Megaton Underground. But why isn't Big Town upgraded a little? Or Republic of Dave? Canterbury Commons? Girdershade? And heck, if someone made a mod that changed the Evergreen Mills settlement friendly, I would endorse and kudos the hell out of the author.
  7. Is there any way for me to get out of the Talon Company, or at least get the Rivet City folk to stop shooting at me?
  8. Hey, I am trying to make another set of perks for myself. Any help with these? Sniper's Gum -Whenever you are chewing a piece of gum, you shoot straighter and deadlier. Your crosshairs stay in place and your bullets do 25% more damage. (After chewing bubble gum, your sniper scope dosn't move and you do 25% more damage for 10 minutes.) Bright -Whenever you are on fire, people like to stop and stare. They will stop attacking you, giving you the perfect oppertunity. (After being set on fire, everyone will stop attacking you untill you're not on fire anymore.)
  9. Hey, I recently reinstalled my copy of Fallout 3, removing all the mods and save files. I want to start fresh. I have a certain type of game in mind, and I was wondering if anyone could help me find mods that will put me in the right direction. I'd like a fast paced shooter, with health that regenerates when you duck behind cover like most modern shooting games. I want a lot of roleplaying choices, as well. No body mods or race mods (unless there is a Kajiit for F3, then I would DEFINATLY want that!) Also, perhaps some more non-combat oriented things, like gambling or quests with just talking. That would be awesome too. As for house mods... i'd like a bunch of wasteland themed ones, not supervaults. If you know of some mods that you think i'd like, post em here! Kudos for all who do.
  10. Nevermind, I figured it out. When I made a increased health mod, I accidentally added a perception penalty. My bad.
  11. Whenever I start a new game, my perception stat and all skills related to it are lowered by a substantial ammount. If I start with 7 perception, I end up playing with 3. Any fixes for this problem?
  12. Have iTunes? Play a radio station in the background. Otherwise, not possible.
  13. http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy168/ETAMS/AN18-2.jpg That. It has an axe, a chisle, a wrench and of course the hammer. Oh, and a bottle opener. This is the most epic tool, ever. I would make a melee character if this was avaliable, and would be your best friend if you made it. Ha ha. Cheers.
  14. That is what I am using, actually. It dosn't correct the problem.
  15. Hey, I have a slight problem with notes in Fallout 3. I can't seem to scroll down 100 percent, so I am unable to finish reading. Any fixes out there?
