i have the same problem and have never been able to fix it. so i just export with the defualts and copy and paste the shaders from a nif that already has working shaders then just adjust the texture paths to mine.

hey, if there is any nifty experts out there or know what may be happening please answer this question.
ive been using nifty for a long time it always works great for me and i love it. however sometimes i just get a mesh that crashes nifty when i try to "fixparts" it. and no the mesh is not stripified. i just cant figure this out and its really holding up my progress on one of my mods.

Flip textures. As far as I am aware, are never used in vanilla.
The nitexturingproperty is still used in fallout 3 nifs.
Though there is a BSNiShaderNoLightingProperty involved. I have not full explored it. I believe a flipcontroller could work in there. I've read a few times people saying it's impossible and they aren't used. imo perhaps, perhaps not
Normal maps may be a issue as well just make do without them.
ya ive tried to use a flip controller, and i can get to work IN Nifskope, but it wont show up in the game. i heard somewhere that it is possible because someone did it on a "animated texture sign", but that video is not on youtube anymore. i guess ill keep fiddling aroudn in nifskope.

ive been trying to use the same method of getting animated textures onto my meshe surface as was done in this mod http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23547.
i am able to recreate the effect easily for oblvion. but i cant figure out how to do it in fallout 3 nifs because it uses shaders instead of nitexturing property.
i guess my question is, can it be done in fallout 3 nifs? has it been done, and if so which mods?
(shady sands tv does not use it, that uses a script to do it)
any help would be appreciated.

I had exactly the same problem .... and tried everything including Barlas advice above but still nothing.
Finally I just opened the dvd drive and then closed it again (disk inside - obviously) and went and made some coffee
and when I came back there it was ...... the dialogue box asking to install the game.
It seems to me that it takes a bit of time before before the damn thing is read by the DVD drive or the PC picks it up or
recognises the GAME OF THE YEAR edition.
Yeah it was a bit of a wait, hope it works for you.
almost every dlc disk that got sent out was faulty, but they WILL open i waited 8 minutes but mine finally worked -.-

The seams are there because of the hands and necks being separate meshes. The only way i can think of making it unnoticeable is to do custom rigging/weight painting which would rig the verticies in question so that aren't pulled to the bones as hard (not sure if this makes sense). It also depends on what skeleton your using and mesh. Take some screen shots for a better analysis.
what i mean is, before i import the body into blender, it has no seams in game, but once i export it without even editing it i get terrible seams. here is screenshots.

everytime i export any clothing /body from blender i get terrible seems around the neck and both wrists. I spent a day now trying to figure out how to get rid of the gaps with no luck. i have tried countless different export settings but none seem to help. does this happen to others or is it just me? and how do i fix it?

almost every single mesh in this cell was a stock one that i have retextured.
it crashes when i actually load the cell in the RENDER window.
When i load it the cs stops responding and says it has encountered a problem and needs to close.

it took me a few days but i think i have identified the problem. 3 of the retextured meshes (they are rooms) seem to be causing the problem, and i dont know why. i know they are the problem because when i remove them from the data folder and try to load the cell, the cell loads fine. but when i put them back in and reload the esp, the cell wont load again.
These 3 meshes havent been altered in any way other than my custom textures. Whats even more annoying is that these meshes worked fine with no problems for 3 weeks, then all of a sudden they started causing problems.
if u know what could be causing this please help :)

im gonna try to do that. im gonna try doing with tes4edit tho cuz when i do it with gecko, it just crashes the program. maybe its cuz the esp is over 1mb but idk. ill let u know what happens

i have been working on a mod for months now, and im close to being done and ive put a TON of time and work into it.
its a castle mod and i have all the interior cells constructed, so now i am moving on to clutterring them up with furniture etc.
But now, for no apparent reason, one of the cells i have had finished for a long time causes the cs to crash every time i try to load it. (i have tried to load it many times)
all of my other cells will load fine, and last week this one was working fine as well. I havent made any changes to the interior of this cell at all since back when it was working.
every time i save the esp i make a seperate copy of it and store it in a seperate folder as a backup. ( i have about 70 so far)
none of the backups will load it either, even very early ones where i had first made that cell.
however When i go into the cell in the actual game everything loads fine and nothing is wrong!
a few days ago it would load fine on the latest esp save. now, on that EXACT same esp it wont load. This is driving me crazy as ive been working on this mod since late august!
if anyone knows anything that they think may be able to help i would greatly appreciate your input.
i could upload the mod so someone else could look at it and hopefully see something i have missed.
i have tried....
-reinstalling the CS
-cleaning the esp
-using earlier versions of the esp
maybe i should try reinstalling oblivion but idk. help please, i dont want to see 2 months of my work go to waste.

that rug doesnt look bad at all. just a bit too white. a recolor would be just fine as well. something that would go with the castle.
i never even noticed the blue green on the armor. its not that big of a deal but if u can fix it go ahead.

im still working on it...its taking much longer than i expected. i have been working on it nonstop for over a month. i started in late august.
ive got 95 percent of the interior castle layout done. i just need to clutter it up furniture etc, then send it to pronam wfor ther quest.
but i also need some opinions. ive been torn between two different trim colors, and i cant figure out which one i like best. here are some screens. the first screen is of the one i have now.

I have like, no time around school and work and extra-curriculars to do anything... I usually get on from my iPod while I'm studying.
im a senior in high school. i have a job. i bodybuild. and i mod when i have time lol.
