Yeah, I've been looking for the same thing. Still nothing in 2021 :-)

I'm trying to o the same thing but I don't have a skyrim.ini in my skyrim special edition folder. I do have a Skyrim_Deault.ini but placing it there within the General section doesn't make a difference. I did look through other ini files in that folder but they were just for LOD, none of them had a previous setting for this. Any advice? EDIT: Never mind, I found a mod that worked :-) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/7011
