  1. Hi, so with all the free time, I wanted to try to finish a mod I've been working on, purely as a hobby and creative outlet (I enjoy writing), but my background is not at all in the tech field, let alone game design, so please be gentle. So my two mods are well-liked by people who play them, Volthar Manor and Mistress Kira's Fine Adornment, but they are mostly puzzles, living areas, places to explore and easter eggs, merchants, followers and Lore/backstory, for vampire gameplay. I'm working on a new dragonborn themed mod to add a house in an empty spot in solitude that's always bothered me, Wultar the Brave's house, an old war 'hero' (and secret talos worshipper). If I was good modder, I'd want Wultar to have a joinable faction you can join - a group of do-gooder mercenaries you can do radiant quests for and level up in the guild, maybe even just one quest to kill outlaws or something, get a cool sword and extra skill as a reward. nothing fancy, just more stuff to do. But all my mods so far miss a lot of what I wanted to include. I had trouble making quests, so there are no quests or quest markers, I wanted characters to be hostile/friendly depending on if your character is a vampire or not, and i wanted to add radiant quests for whatever faction you side with. Okay so its a long list of stuff I'm too much of a noob to do, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated from this community of modders and genius creative types i have so much respect for YOU nexus ppl. So heres what I failed at in (both) my mods and I'd love at add: - Courier to deliver quest starting letter (and change letter depending on vampire or not) - Simple main quests (discover this area, kill this guy) and radiant quests (join vamps or hunt them) - Hostilities (If you're vampire, your friendly, if you're not, they attack) - upgrades to estate (for Volthar i wanted you to be able to purchase Guard/barkeep/stable) - other things i failed at like a shout, add a small dungeon quest, and put unique items in. Okay so for unique items I'd need help, the 3d stuff is way beyond my pay grade. I wish i could put in custom jewelry and apparel in but i would need to find someone willing to let me put it in. Is that possible? do people do that? heres links to my mods, they're at least good enough ppl ported them to SE and I'm fairly happy with them overall considering my inexperience. Volthar https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/87828 Kira's https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/95901 And I want to do Wultar's house, i have it built already, but with my lame bag of CK tricks i feel It would kinda just be more of the same i've already done, which i'm bored with. And FYI i have watched many many YT tutorials and am a good self-learner, so I know when I've hit my wall without extra help, and this is basically it. Any help would be appreciated guys and gals, and thanks for the years of entertainment and great mods! Cheers, Chizz
  2. The new layout features obnoxious ads front and center, a cheap looking layout that makes you question on if you're on the correct site or some pirated knock-off, and a bland color scheme so uninspired it sucks the fun out of browsing for mods Dear Nexus Admins - if it ain't broke, don't fix it and fire whoever designed this crap. it looks like the web designer did a bunch of coke and played with abode flash for 10 hours.
  3. couldn't find a mod like this so i thought i'd post here to see if this inspires any of you creative CK wiz kids Theres lots of vampire castles and dens, but not really a mansion I like. too decorative and flowery (and unstable), or its just a vanilla solitude house. I love the castle orlok and the evil mansion mod but i was thinking a modest 2 story mansion, long well lit main hall, all stuff for crafting, seemingly simple layout, no super complicated environment and not 100 mannequins. good lighting and the cool solitude stain-glass windows are a must, give it a churchy feel. maybe one vampire hoursecarl (or better yet merchant) and a guard out front. honestly like the clue house lmao But a vampire mansion has to have lots of secret passage ways. with a turn of a candlestick or pulling a book, new areas open up. hidden coffins and rooms. hollow walls. And this house definitely needs a hidden dungeon and shrine to molog bal. the secret passageways should connect the rooms and be totally hidden - even hard to initially figure out (like an obscurely placed button) tiny halls, or dark rooms, little ladders, flip of rug, moving book cases/fireplaces. doors hidden behind banners secret wardrobe passages. maybe a long tiny stone passage leads somewhere crazy (or secret escape tunnel to avoid those dawngaurd spies) This is for the cultured vampire. location is important. off the beaten path but in a central location. hidden in the forest but easy to find (if you know the right path). the player should have to purchase it, and it should be really expensive. thanks alot for reading this
