  1. @TenderHooligan: I'm the same way with my characters when it comes to where I live. I tend to play hunter/ranger types and I have never bought a player home in any playthrough. For my leveling I just use the console to set the 'level up base' and 'level up rate' to 10000 each (in vanilla they're 75 and 25 respectively). I figure level 2 will be as high as I want to go anyway - I'm actually getting fairly close. I didn't play with perks on the 360 playthrough, but don't underestimate the power of a high skill. Having 100 in one-handed at level 1 for instance, means you're doing quite a lot of damage at least to enemies that are on the lower end of the scale. There were a few draugr deathlords on the 360 playthrough that were a nightmare, but most enemies were quite easy at high skill level. On the PC I just give myself the perks I want, although I tend to stay away from the ones that increase attack damage - unless I need them to access another perk in the tree. Again, with the high skill levels, (not to mention non-vanilla weapons) the damage I can deal out is quite high. I've killed many a deer  @mega_tron I thought about that, but this particaulr quest is a mod and I think I need the quest to trigger before I can get the ID. I like the idea of reomoving the requirement anyway - personally, I don't think such a thing should be in a game anyway. If I want to tackle a quest that's probably too hard and get myself killed, that's my business.
  2. @mega_tron: I'm all about console commands, so no problem  @TenderHooligan: This is exactly what I want - I'll try it in a little bit. Pity about the Hearthfire requirement though. As for my play style, I have no problem with quests and the like. Whenever I get a game, I play it straight vanilla the first time (usually on the 360). Later, I get the PC version and use mods. However, the second time through I usually want to play a more heroic character, so I use the console to 'cheat'. This time around I gave myself some high skills, the perks I wanted and high stamina. I still had to reduce 'weapondamagemult' to 0.7 to make things not so easy. Even when I played Skyrim the first time on the 360 I simply didn't level up at all and I had no problem finishing the game at level 1. I'm pretty sure I finished 'The Wolf Queen Awakened' quest. I don't recall the level-up, but if there was one, I probably just reverted back to level 1 via the console anayway. Just curious TenderHooligan, what's your leveling rate? Thanks for the help. bocharuk
  3. Does anyone out there know how to bypass the required level for certain quests? To keep the game world rather 'low key' I level VERY slowly (I'm still level 1 after hundreds of hours of play), but this prevents certain quests from triggering. Also, it seems a lot of quests trigger 'after the Graybeards summon you...' or after doing something related to the main questline. If you use an alternate start mod and/or the 'You are not the Dragonborn' mod you get a similar problem. Any help anybody could offer would be great. Thanks in advance, bocharuk
