  1. If someones played the game I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, after all the idea of the game is interesting, I'd like to hear whether they pulled it off.

  2. I've lived in both Finland and Spain, and so have seen, and more importantly felt, both extremes. I can say that for me, hot is definitely the worse one of the two.

Hot makes me tired, and being a generally lazy guy, that pretty much means a coma, and sweating sucks.

Cold on the other hand helps keep me on my toes, alert and awake, and I really don't mind it unless there is a strong wind which makes it a whole another story. Then again I don't understand those people who wear shorts and a t-shirt in -25 celsius weather either.

Its fun watching some of my friends shiver in cold when we are out Muahahah

You evil evil person, although I do agree  Wait, does that make me a bad person too? :psyduck:

  3. Must say that I'm loving the show, and it's been a while since a show has caught my attention like this. The show's only 4 episodes in and I can't wait for more episodes to come out. Needless to say I'll be rooting for the show to be successful, so we'll hopefully be able to see a lot more Vikings.

  4. I have been keping it together rather well, even if I say so myself. Just started a huge game of GalCiv II that should keep me occupied for a week or so, that coupled with several university entrance exams (Or whatever the heck they are), and work whould keep me occupied for 10 days...ONLY 10 DAYS LEFT!!

I must confess though that the nearer to the release we get the more worried I become, I'm terrified of the idea of my preorder not arriving on friday, it would totally scew my plans, but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

    I think I'll be fine..

Edit: I sure sound like a prick

  6. One could say there weren't any Dunmer in Oblivion, though. Just round faced smurfs :D

Got to admit that you have me there :D

Can't wait to see a Bosmer!

Best part is he gets a sword shoved down his neck going towards his torso

That's what you get for being the same race as the adoring fan

  7. The dunmer in itself looks good, but I just hope that not every dunmer in-game looks that...Old? Yeah, I think old is the word..

On another note though I love the background and the sky looks amazing, especially the aurora borealis and masser, the way he holds the knives is epic too, but as has been noted before the armor looks horrid, can't believe they'd put it in a photo like this, I really hope it will look way better when Skyrim comes out..

Edit: Yes, Dunmer is the other word for Dark elf..

  8. It's mostly the players that are overhyping the game for themselves this time I think.

I agree, if I think back and look at all the things Bethesda has promised about the game, most of it is rather conservative, or then it's the now notorious phrase, "I'd love to talk about this or that, but I can't."

This, if I've understood right has been done so as to not make the same PR mistakes Bethesda committed with Oblivion.

Do I think Skyrim is being over-hyped? Definitely, do I think it's Bethesda's doing? No..

For example, there are still loads of people asking whether you can ride dragons, which has been already refuted. Meaning that there are still loads of people who are not all that knowledgeable about the game and the info already available, so there are bound to be people with extremely high expectations, some of which are most likely already refuted or haven't been announced in the first place, which leads the masses to churn out rumours that inevitably keep the hype alive..Good for pre-order numbers, but it also means higher expectations, so some people will most likely be very disappointed, me probably being one of them, since I tend to get my hopes up.

But here's hoping Skyrim will actually exceed those expectations, I know Bethesda can do it, so lets hope they do..

  9. I'm not 100% sure, but I remember reading somewhere that Todd Howard had said that there wouldn't be new footage on Quakecon, but that there would be more new information coming on the web, but again I can't remember where I read it at, so can't vouch for its reliability, anyway, if anyone has some info on this, please correct me...And frankly I hope you do, since new information on the game would be very much appreciated
  10. I must agree that seeing an argonian would indeed be interesting, although I don't like them all that much since lizards really ain't my thing, especially if they're taller than me and as/more intelligent *shiver*.

But seeing how the argonian model could be the most intricate one out of all races, (what with all the scales and stuff), it might be a good meter for what kind of progress have been made in the interval between Oblivion and Skyrim, at the least it would be for me.

  11. I don't care what kind of mounts they are as long as I don't have to dismount to bash something's skull in.

Indeed, and I'd very much like to be able to look backwards while mounted, after all the last time I checked humans can turn their heads, and hopefully other humanoids aswell..

  12. Most likely a nord ranger type character, wielding a bow for when I want to keep that smelly goblin from dirtying up my beard, and dual-wielding two swords for when things get up close and personal with a draugr that didn't know what was best for itself..
  13. I have been wanting to build a new rig for sometime now, and since I´ll be graduating during the summer, I believe I'll take advantage of the situation and use the possible gift money to fund my new rig. I still haven't got the build locked, but that'll be fine since I still have quite a bit of time, But I sure as hell want to get the best out of Skyrim, and a new rig is a requisite for that..
  14. A better crime system.

I cant even tell you how much I am wishing for this, I mean no more every guard knowing about you killing that farmer in the other end of the world..Or atleast have a good reason for it, Couriers for example, (Only for a crime that actually warrants a warranty, not a petty theft or anything) I think it would be interesting if you were able to hide outside the city and attack the courier to disrupt the delivering of the news of your crimes to other cities, or something similar, but it would have to be something that makes sense...

More variation in the items in the game. The mundane items, that is. And also where you can cause affects to the mundane items, like you can break objects, burn them, etc.

Indeed, and also a reason, (apart from getting some pocket money), for the player to own these things, I dont need a cup to drink a bottle of wine, so why should I own a cup, apart from just sitting in my house doing nothing?

another thing, if i steal something in one town, all the merchants in the entire world shouldnt magically know its stolen. i realise it gave fences a point, but who cares about fences?

I totally agree with you, and let me say that I liked the fence idea, but the idea of every cup in the world having some kind of a magic alarm system is very silly and absurd, sure the more wealthy NPCs could have i.e their coat of arms or a crest or some other kind of a mark to show whose that super expensive diamond ring is. But I highly doubt that our good old neighborhood beggar Festus has money to mark his fork..

The thing that i always wanted in Oblivion and Fallout is CLOTH PHYSICS!

Why? Because it adds a VERY BIG touch of realism and immersion for a very small price. Look at Assassins Creed 2, The thing that the cape has physics is so realistic and adds lots of immersion, that i get lost in just sprinting on the roofs and looking at my cape following me in

    a fashioned and realistic way.

Take that and throw in some hair physics too!

I love both of these ideas. It would really add to my sense of immersion if I could see my clothes and hair move according to how the wind is blowing, especially since Skyrim is supposed to be atleast partially a mountanous region, and as we all know standing atop a mountain, gazing down on the land is something a hero has to do atleast once..

id like the possibility to have a pet, i know you could get a skinned hound in shivering isles and i know TES is not fall out....but having some kind of pet or familiar without the constant summoning would be nice.

I've always found it a bit strange how in a world that is lurking with dangers and monsters there is no possibility of traveling in a group, (apart from many great and wonderful mods), which should be more like common sense, Safety in numbers, anyone?

And about pets, it would seem quite prudent to me to have a dog guard my manor or a shephard could have it guard his sheep, meaning that training a dog to be your battle companion should be something possible aswell..

Return to a colored map would be appreciated.

Yes, it would be useful to be able to tell between a field and a forest..

Window portals. Actually being able to see through windows between cells. And see NPCs through windows.

Again.. Immersion, immersion, immersion, immersion, immersion..

  15. I would have to say Werewolves. Why? Firstly, I just love the possible duality of the werewolf persona, the possibility of a totally harmless individual not unlike myself (being the lazy-ass nerd I am) having a werewolf side to them is just that fascinating.

And secondly, they are just that awesome..
