none of my saves have more than 50 hours :D I like to make lots of different characters and roleplay. (kinda like in City of Heroes, which was an MMO but I feel it had a similar kind of freedom on what kind of character you could make)

Hey guys. I don't post on these forums often (or 'ever', usually) but I was curious about something. How many hours have you spent playing New Vegas? Personally, I'm at exactly 1380 hours. I can completely verify my count because I've never played it outside of Steam. And yes, it's probably my favorite game. Don't think I've ever come back to a game as much as this. I have almost 900 hours in Skyrim, and can't verify how many in Fallout 3 and Oblivion, but I imagine that the numbers are similar. Only other games that come close would probably be GTA San Andreas, City of Heroes or Jagged Alliance 2.

that is too bad. I know toxa made the STALKER armor and weapon mods for FO3, too bad they were banned...

I'm sure it has been posted, but I need to know, didn't want to bump anything. Is anyone working/planning on porting the 19th/20th century weapons mod to FNV? I miss my P38, Webley and the M-16 who said 'Operation Haul Ass' at the side, amongst others. I would try porting some guns over myself from the Fallout 3 mod but the files are unavailable and I dont have them on my computer anymore. I'd be happy about any response :)

oh thanks, you answered one of my questions, or at least shed light on the little 'trick' I just discovered. but I still dont get why sometimes the game bans me from laying down certain numbered cards, except for aces, they tend to work always. didnt quite understand that rule yet.

after a while, I started to understand the basic rules, and now I can play it, but still I lose sometimes, obviously, it depends on what cards you get. if you only have shitty ones and your opponent does not, you'll lose pretty fast. I still don't understand it completely though. one thing I recently discovered is that you can use Queens, Kings or Jacks to make your opponent drop some cards or pass the 26 limit, you can just simply put your cards on top of their stack to do this. the opponent however will never put his cards on your stacks. what I don't understand is that sometimes I cant lay some certain down, they just go red, but I dont really understand why. and sometimes, certain cards drop from my stack and I also don't get why. but, still, if I manage to get a useful sequence of cards, I tend to win. there is some strategy involved but also a bunch of luck.

or just leave it stationary and make a houseboat mod. ;D

I meant 'HEAD'. not hear. not literally of course... but when you installed male and female body replacers and then went into Operation Anchorage into the doctor's tent and saw penises and breasts everywhere? "what? live npc's have those too? without Animated Prostitution? without me having killed and looted them first?" or when you use Breeze's male replacer and saw Dukov/Snowflake in their new attire? priceless..... I immediately gave Snowflake some new clothes via Sharing+Caring.... naked ghouls is just kinda weird.... though they need love, too!

annoying. maybe they'll make an unofficial patch, as of now, the Broken Steel content is in-game, partially but it's unplayable for me.

update: it actually doesn't work. the outside of Jefferson Memorial hasn't changed, there's no clean water, only interiors have changed etc. Paladin Tristan doesn't exist, there's just a quest arrow pointing into the Citadel, but when I go there, nothing's there.

well, like I said, the game didn't work BEFORE I installed the newest patch. it doesn't look like these problems affect me. Broken Steel definetely seems to work now, with proper mod management.

I just deactivated all mods and Fawkes ran in. I guess it works, I need to test some mods now. anyone got any suggestions on problematic mods with Broken Steel?

I just installed 1.6 because it didn't work before I posted this. this is really annoying, yesterday I got The Pitt, the day before that Operation Anchorage and I already had to reinstall the game for OA to work. before that I had 1.0.0.15 and the fake patch.

I just installed Broken Steel. it appears as though Fallout 3 and Broken Steel have merged, but don't work correctly. I got the message about Broken Steel being active and the level cap being raised. at the end of the game, I have the option to tell Lyons I'm going to ask Fawkes to activate Project Purity. when I ask Fawkes, he gives his old dialogue about my fate being in there and declines. when I then decide to go in myself, I can ask Fawkes to do it and he gives me his Broken Steel dialogue, and it looks like he's going to do it. but then Sarah Lyons runs in. the ending video plays, and the game crashes/the credits roll and it just goes back to the title screen. the last thing with the crash happens regardless of what I do. either it just ends, or it crashes to the desktop. help, anyone?
