  1. So, that seems to be the problem. After re-exporting from the GIMP project using DXT5, the model appears to be reflecting light correctly now. Any specific compression or any with DXT5 work?
  2. That may be my problem, I don't recall saving that portion at all. Let me check.
  3. I did make the changes to this part as well. In Skyrim, it's called [filename]_msn.dds.
  4. So, I messed with modifying the .dds files for a body texture (Argonian male and female) to make two mods compatible. This was due to conflicting mod textures and I ended up just taking the parts I needed from one texture and putting in the correct spots on the texture I want to use more of (body replacer). I now have the texture showing up correctly, but it does not seem to reflect light correctly. My steps were to: 1. Create project in GIMP 2. Make changes 3. Save as GIMP project 4. Export project to .DDS file I didn't do anything to the original image or the final image afterwards. I have been trying to find info on this specific portion of the texture modding, but I can't really find anything specific. I have seen a couple of places referring to nifskope or something else to "clean-up" things or editing things there, but after looking at nifskope it looked way more in depth than I thought I needed. Am I missing a specific step I should be taking when altering a texture and resaving? Any help would be appreciated. I was working on this issue 3 years ago and got tired of trying to deal with it on my own then.
  5. Was just looking around and couldn't find any such mods and thought it would be a fun idea, especially with a summoner/druid type of character.
  6. So I noticed a strange issue today with multiple items disappearing and reappearing when getting close to them or some other variables, like coming up a ramp. It first happened with a brick of C4 on the ground in Vault 19. When I got close to it, it turned invisible, but I could still pick it up. I also noticed the same thing in the Sunset Sarsaparilla plant with the multiple bottles and signage on the floor. Normal view before coming up ramp from first to second floor. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/jengelke/ScreenShot0-1.jpg Little closer... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/jengelke/ScreenShot1-1.jpg Closer still... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/jengelke/ScreenShot2.jpg And gone. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/jengelke/ScreenShot3.jpg The only mods I have uploaded are the Community Bugfix. http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38326 I have attempted Archive Validation/Invalidation multiple times, removed all mods completely and this still seems to happen. Anyone have any ideas?
  7. Having a couple of issues with what I believe is stemming from the TYPE3 conversion (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4280) and at least one other mod. The first issue is a difference between the body and the head mesh on an altered companion NPC changed by "Prettier Star Paladin Cross v2" (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6431). The neck skin is much lighter than the body and I can't seem to repair it. I haven't noticed this on any other NPC so I can't tell if it is a problem with either mod individually, or both. The second issue is that raider NPCs in my game spawn with strange red colored eyes. This affects both male and female raiders. The only thing I can think of that was recently added that might have something to do with it would be Hair Pack required by the Star Paladin Cross replacer (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1146) Screenshots of both issues are below. Cross skin mesh Raider alien eyes Edit: Okay, I've discovered the cause of the eye issue, but not how to correct it. The Hair Pack added eyes to the textures folder, so when I remove them, they eyes are normal on raiders, but then the Star Paladin mod does not work. Edit2: Okay, figured out how to fix the eyes. Just need to remove an eye texture added by the hair mod. Still no idea on the other one though.
