When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about this.

I reinstalled Fallout 3 a few days ago, and I got myself the latest version of FWE. The last time I played with FWE, I'd left click an empty bottle, close my pipboy, and activate a water source, then I get some dirty water. Now, however, I don't see any way of filling up water from sinks/toilet bowls/water coolers. I can fill up from puddles of water in the wasteland, but meh, that stuff is highly radioactive.
Is this a deliberate change implemented, or am I missing something?

I don't understand at all why someone would cheat on a multiplayer game, to be honest. It defeats the point of everything, even playing the game itself.

I just reinstalled Fallout 3, along with some mods, such as FWE, MMM, WMK, and whatnot. The game seems to be working nicely so far.
However, I ran into Doc Hoff's caravan. Then I ran into some raiders. I lured the raiders to the caravan so they could kill the raiders for me, but the caravan guards keep babbling "Watch out, its a fight!" and "None of my business." and they constantly run on the spot and try to catch up with Hoff, all the while oblivious to the raiders.
Now is this normal that the guards do nothing to help?

I wouldn't recommend getting it. The enemies all look the same, the NPCs have no personality or purpose other than to give you quests, and the bazillion guns generally work the same way.

What I hated above all else about Fallout 3 was their crappy power armor. It just gave you slightly more protection and slowed you down. It couldn't completely repel weaker attacks like in Fallout 1/2, it didn't remotely affect your ability to sneak, and they just looked so ugly.

I got bored of the first Left 4 Dead a few months after it was released. L4D2 demo didn't have anything that made me think I'd enjoy the game much longer than the first.
I also really hate the bright lighting in L4D2, not so much because its no longer creepy, but because there's no particularly bright areas that you will instinctively notice. While that's great for making the maps feel less linear and probably with multiple routes to take, it tends to leave me quite lost.

I was quite annoyed that the vault wasn't real, though of course the legend and crap sounded a bit too good to be true. What really pissed me off was that the Guardian Angel goes on rambling about how your actions haven't gone unrewarded and crap. All you get is a bit of ammo that probably doesn't compensate for what you had to use up to kill it (unless you're a support gunner) and some money. And some white guns.

Absolutely agree with you there. Given the way they introduce him - hand moving to block the camera - I'd have thought he be the quietest of the 4.

I started playing Siren at first, but now I'm finding Berserkers to be waaaaaaay more fun. No other class gets to blow crap up or beat it out of enemies like Berserkers. That, and I really really hate it when Lilith goes "I'm really good at this!".
-
I'd give it a 6/10. For various reasons, not excluding the fact that everyone's more interested in playing Left4Dead 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Mulitplayer, few people even bother playing Coop anymore, which was supposed to be one of the major things about the game.
-
If the game permitted, I'd probably wait for the purifier to blow up, because I just don't find it worth dying for some stupid water purifier, nor do I find it worth letting Lyons take on the mantle of a hero. I'm also locked into the darn rotunda, strangely.

I leave a long trail of mines before I actually shoot them and attract their interest.

I personally never bother with more than one gun skill, and I avoid using weapons outside of that school. I keep 3 guns at most and sell off the rest. Plenty of caps, lots of space for finding more junk to sell. I keep a light melee weapon and a few grenades in case, but I never really use them.
Easy ways to get caps and some equipment early in the game(without mods) include:
•Talking to Silver, you'll get at least a hundred caps, if I'm not wrong.
•Emptying Springvale school of raiders, and selling everything remotely valuable.
•Going to GNR plaza and letting the Brotherhood of Steel kill everything.
•Going straight to Arlington Library, collecting pre-war books on the way.

How is it that the original Fallout is not here?

wow...I don't usually post unless I have something good to say but this time, I felt obligated to speak up...
RE5 is the WORST version I have ever played. I don't say this as a casual gamer either. I've been playing since the series inception. In fact, Resident Evil One helped make me a gamer. I rented RE5 for the Playstation 3 the day it came out, and became frustrated at having paid the rental fee.
But why? How dare I, you ask? I'm crazy you say?
I'm not sure how it plays on P.C. but on PS3, I found the controls completely outdated. The stop and pop style was revolutionary in RE4, but antique by today's standards. I can't shoot and move? Really? WTF!
The story, (if you can call it that) was so forgettable that I don't even remember what it was about, which is sad, really.
None of the bosses were imaginative, nor how to defeat them. In fact, one of them, (the ogre thing you had to shoot while on the back of a truck) was a rehash of an earlier boss from RE4. Gag!
And why were the zombies driving cars, shooting at me with guns, and throwing grenades etc. etc.? Seriously! If RE5 wanted to go the action route, then they should have honed the controls accordingly. With all that arcade-like, shooter/action vibe, I thought I was playing a bad action zombie movie remake or something. It would have been much better if those "zombies" were actual soldiers or something. (and yes, I know they technically weren't "zombies")
And the female character served no purpose. Yeah yeah I know she's plays fetch well...that's not what I'm talking about. I use to respect the RE franchise because they gave females prominent roles. Not everybody is, or wants to play as, a guy. Whenever I played by myself, I had to play as..."whatever his name was", and was followed everywhere by the "dog" female. I kept thinking, where's her leash? Sure she obeys commands correctly, goes off to fetch, and is a handy companion, (like a dog) but she's also a degraded character.
There were a lot of things done right, of course.
Music was spot on. Just about all of the locales were fitting.
But seriously people...a masterpiece? A masterpiece?
Really?
Seriously?
That game is as forgettable as the main character!
What was his name...
I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one who felt that way. Well, at least mostly that way anyway.

I've been playing with FWE for a while, which is quite fun, except for one thing. Hostile entities almost always spot me before I even notice them (and then they proceed to headshoot me from really far away). Its kind of rendering my sneak skill useless. Is there any way to tone this down and closer to the original game's?

I don't remember where exactly, but I remember seeing an image of pre-war America where Vault Tec Headquarters was one of those skyscrapers, not that tiny 4-floor shopping mall size building you see in Fallout 3. That said, Vault Tec is probably still monitoring the vaults.
-
Oh wait, there was also Hellgate: London, but that was awfully buggy, and after a while Multiplayer closed down, at least in Asia.
-
I'm quite interested in getting it as it'll be the first PC cooperative RPG in years since Diablo 2, correct me if I'm wrong. However, I'm not terribly horrified at the delay, since my computer probably can't run it anyway.
-
I don't believe anyone has mentioned Fable. Its rather linear, but its not a point-and-click game.

I'm trying to run Morrowind here, but every half an hour or so of play, the engine will crap up like this:
http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/638/morrowindbreak.th.jpg
The menus totally break down, and I can't tell at all what I'm clicking. After maybe another 10 minutes the game will totally crash.
I can run newer games like Oblivion just fine, but I don't know what's wrong with Morrowind.

Just a quick question - besides being the only type of soul gem that can contain humanoid souls, how are black soul gems different from regular grand soul gems?
-
Are you talking about the shrines of different daedric princes? Some of the items are leveled, but I think they're all capped at somewhere level 30 or lower.
