  1. I would love to see the new Artificer Class (from Tasha's) added to this game. Once tools are released I may try my hand at doing it myself, but it does sound like quite the undertaking (as it involves changing things like 'use Int for attack rolls instead of Str/Dex but only for magic weapons' and things like that). I'm not quite sure how modding works in this game yet.
  2. I think it would be nice to be able to craft my own armor/bows/shields/etc instead of only having melee weapons as options. There may be a mod out there that already does this and I just wasn't aware of it. Is there an xml file where recipes can be easily added or is this something that would require a more complex scripting exercise?
  3. Modding Noob question: I am trying to do something similar to Disparity, where I create different racial traits from vanilla. If I wanted to do something for the altmer where I increase magical damage dealt, but also increase physical damage taken, what effect would I use do increase the physical vulnerability. Looking at other people's code, I do see how to assign it to effect the entire race, so just trying to figure out how to get the effect working properly. I'd prefer to di it independant of Armor, so that it effects mages who don't have armor, as much as knights in full plate. This way an altmer knight would take, say, 1.1 times the damage that would have gone through his plate mail, whereas a mage would take 1.1 times the damage that would go through his (0 armor) robes. I was looking through the default spell effects and not seeing one that seemed to do this (without just lowering the armor value, which would have no effect on a mage who's already at 0 armor), but I may have missed the right one/not understood what it did. Thanks in advance!
  4. Doesn't that sound like fun? For a sound override, instead of "Fus Do Rah" they could say "Care Bear Stare". My wife pointed out that there would need to be multiple different care bears since it apparently takes more than one care bear to do a care bear stare (I did not know this).
  5. So I saw the mod that replaces dragons with my little ponies. Amazing. So I was wondering, in keeping with this theme, if anyone out there is talented enough to design a mod that replaces the draugr with care bears?
  6. I'm having a similar problem to what the good captain was seeing earlier. This occurs whenever I enter the exterior world now. TrapDweThresher refers to the Dwemer trap that comes out of the ground with spinning blades, but I'm not sure what the TrapDweThresher.firetrap is or how to disable it so it stops killing my game. Thanks! EDIT-- After doing a clean restart, uninstall/reinstall with nothing but my Test A mod, the two hairstyles, and the two Unofficial Patches (regular and Dawnguard), I'm getting these crashes again outside of Riften. This one at least has one of the "standard" error codes (lvlpredatorscript), but I haven't deactivated any mods since the game started. I installed PossessiveCorpses and LessArrows. My understanding is that the lvlpredator error comes from removing something that changed the AI, but I haven't removed anything, and the only two mods that might change the AI are the Unofficial Patches, which I "never leave home without". On top of that, they are both still running while I'm experiencing those crashes. I'm not too far into the game this time so restarting isn't a huge deal, but since I'm having a smilar problem in the same area I'd like some help figuring out what's going on. EDIT 2-- I've discovered a "fix" for the lvlpredatorscript, but I can understand this being undesirable to most. Via my "Test A" mod, I went in and deleted the local instances of the randomly spawning predators. So since I couldn't find what was changing the script, I just removed everything that used it (in this case, the forest dwelling random leveled carnivores surrounding Riften). Since the creature who spawned from the one that kept crashing my game was a frost spider, I am not sure in the changes to the script are specific to them or not. The next time I loaded I was able to go quite awhile before I had my next random crash. Sadly since I still had Papyrus open I couldn't see what the culprit was this time.
  7. I don't have a fix, but I have this problem as well. Also, I have several quest dialogues that are not correctly linking together as well, examples (and minor spoilers) below... Hopefully someone can come up with a fix for this soon, since it is getting gamebreaking (or at least main-quest breaking). *******SPOILER ALERT********* 1.) When the vampire lord asks you to receive his gift, I didn't get the option to and instead was teleported outside. 2.) When I return to the leader of the Dawnguard, I don't have any new quests from him (even though my quostlog dialogue says I need to talk to him) 3.) After using a console command (setstage) to force the game to let me accept the vampire lord's gift, the follow up "quest" (the vampire lord tutorial) didn't load correctly, so I had to use another console command to make it load. Really hoping someone with more modding know-how than me can come up with a workaround soon :)
  8. When I try to load I get an error message that reads "Renderer creation failed with error:" and then it crashes. Any ideas what could be causing this? This is prior to loading anything, as the initial window is popping up. Edit: I tried reinstalling DirectX, but to no avail. I also noticed that while the window with the cryptic error message is appearing, it says "Initializing Windows" in the bottom of the window that loaded.

There was a file in the /data folder that used the same icon as the oblivion toolset, the filename was Skyrim, and after looking at it under properties, I can see that its a .esm, so it's actually a data file, not the toolset. The weird thing was that when I double clicked it, it looked like it was loading a toolset before it gave me those errors. Ah well, at least that explains why it wasn't working right :P
  10. When I try to open the toolset, I get a series of error messages: "Unable to Load CTL File" "Cannot Load Atmosphere Model" "Cannot Load the Stars" "Cannot Load the Clouds" Then it locks up and shuts down. Any suggestions?

I'd like to see some FF X-2 outfits as well (especially Yuna's gunner, and Songstress) Gunner Front Gunner Back Songstress Front Songstress Back While we are at it, some of the other FFX outfits might be nice: Tidus Auron My modeling skill is near 0, but I hope someone else who has the ability to do these well is willing to take up the challenge!
