  1. The Lament of the Highborne is a small book that contains the Thalassian song of the same name. The lament was composed by Derek Duke and Russell Brower and sung by artist Vangie Gunn. It appears on the Burning Crusade soundtrack. The book serves no gameplay purpose, other than to offer the player a chance to reread the lyrics as many times as they wish. The composers revealed that "the quest design team enhanced a new quest line to incorporate the song as a payoff moment".

The lament can be heard in-game by Lady Sylvanas Windrunner and her Highborne Lamenters (pleasant-voiced banshees) after finding her locket (The Lady's Necklace, a gift from her sister Alleria) at Windrunner Spire in the Ghostlands and returning it to the Dark Lady. The Lament of the Highborne song and event were originally absent from the beta phase of The Burning Crusade — however, before release, the event was added to the quest, along with the lyrics to the song. The haunting melody can also be heard as the Burning Crusade credits music, and variations on the lament play in the Eversong Woods and certain areas of the Ghostlands

this is written about the fall of silvermoon, the high elf capital. about 80% of the elves where killed and the survivors called themseves "blood elfs" in honor of the fallen.

i would love to see a blood elf mod, the only elf oblivion race i like is he woods elf and it is still a little strange looking.

  2. Aside from the "cute elf" race, i don't really know what would be a good list of mods to get.

the main things i am interested in are:

-Better textures for cities or water.

    -weaponry

    -armor/clothing

    -mounts

    -better maps

any way i will construct a list of what is good as it is added. thanks!

  3. I said I prefer other games, but WoW and the Battlefield series have pros and cons.

    World of Warcraft:

-Pros: Has a good roleplay element that would make it a revolutionary singleplayer and partial multiplayer game had it been one, it could be like mixing Warcraft 3 with Morrowind or Oblivion and maybe even Diablo 2. The storyline is actually fairly decent as well.

-Cons: To some extent, the fact that it's an MMORPG. People don't really pay attention to the roleplay/storyline aspect and just grind levels and seek "Tier" armor and other meaningless crap. Also some who play it separate themselves from family members and friends; it never happened to me when I played it, but I had a friend tell me about a story of how it has happened with another one of his friends.

Thus why i play on a server called shadow council, which is rolelay based.

-no stupid names(has to be race sounding names)

    -no text talk

    -most raiding guilds are casual.

  4. ENOUGH!

I can't believe you guys are really going to fight in this thread dedicated to the staff members. I've had enough with immature members fighting amongst themselves and getting my topics banned. I am damn near sick of it! The next person who saids something rude or insulting, will get reported and I'm not joking, I WILL REPORT YOU. I've had enough of this quuarreling crap, I'm not going to sit back and watch everyone of my topics thrown out because of two people. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Just let it go already...

    Sorry Keanu

  5. how is it you haven't gotton any stirkes yet?

Oh, I'm sorry, are you a moderator? No? Then shut up. I didn't say anything against the rules.

No, but you are being very rude. you imply that the staff are tyrants, in a thank you thread to them. if you think that the staff is so curropt then why do you even post here?

  6. it's so easy to become a bloated tyrant when given the power of moderatorship.

These people havent, they've done fine by me.

    :whistling:

    I'll leave it at that.

 how is it you haven't gotton any strikes yet?
