  1. I'm pretty sure the 1.4 patch is still in beta. Did you enable it in Steam -> Settings? Otherwise the obvious thing to try is uninstall/reinstall.
  2. Thanks for this! I even found a few in my own mod. It's amazing how much can be changed when you're not being careful. Or even when you are.
  3. 20th is not supported by Apocalypse Armory, but you can try running it with a merged patch (use FO3Edit)
  4. When you stay away from the shoreline in fear of a mirelurk atack.
  5. UPDATE: Apocalypse Armory has finally been released! Contains support for all Downloadable content, CALIBR and xCALIBR, and FPS Grenade Hotkey. Support for other popular mods coming soon. You can get it here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14773
  6. Apologies to those who've been waiting patiently for this; RL has been kicking my ass lately. Beta release is very close however, I estimate it at 95% completed. I just need to balance the weapon stats and test a few more things. Stay tuned!
  7. I think you should always make your mods the way YOU want them to be. Don't give any thought to incompatibility with other mods/modders, because it is not THEIR game. People who complain about such things are shallow and their opinions don't matter. Nothing is stopping them from making the mod they want to play. True, you will get fewer downloads if it is incompatible with the big ones, but the people who really want to try and appreciate your effort can easily disable the other mods to try it out (I do it all the time, that's why I have three separate installations of Fallout 3). I'd rather have ten people who download and appreciate the effort I put into my mod than have hundreds demanding it to be done their way just so they can play it wearing junk metal bikinis and faerie wings. Besides, It's not like we get paid for every download :p
  8. For those who are interested, I am expecting to release this in the next week or two. FWE compatibility will be included.
  9. UPDATE: Apocalypse Armory has been released! Contains support for all Downloadable content, CALIBR and xCALIBR, and FPS Grenade Hotkey. Support for other popular mods coming soon. You can get it here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14773 Hello Fallout 3 mod fans, I am very close to releasing Apocalypse Armory, a weapons-only compilation mod which brings back many old favorites, adds some other great weapon mods, and introduces some new work which hasn't been seen before other mods. Before the initial release I wanted to generate some interest and also get feedback from the community. Overview Apocalypse Armory is an upcoming mod compilation which contains most of the weapons from previous Fallout games, as well as a variety of weapons from the mod community which 'fit nicely' into the Fallout world. It will contain only weapons (real and imagined), and will not affect any other aspects of the game, except for the purpose of distributing these weapons to merchants, friends, enemies, and loot containers. Apocalypse Armory will also give other mod authors the freedom to distribute their creations throughout the wasteland without having to worry about conflicts with other mods, game balance, or level list editing. History This mod started out as an update to the great Classic Fallout Weapons BETA mod which hadn't seen any work in over a year. I added remaining weapons from Fallout 1 and 2, as well as most of the weapons from Tactics from a variety of other mods. After hundreds of hours of work, I realized that someone else had already released something very similar and did a fine job doing so. Rather than throw away all my hard work, I went in another direction and began hand-picking weapons from other mods which seemed appropriate for the Fallout world. Guidelines I followed a few basic rules when selecting which weapons to use in Apocalypse Armory: 1. Weapons that existed in past (and future) Fallout games, including some that were cut from release. 2. Weapons that BELONG in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. They should be worn, rusted, and look as though they have been taken apart and scavenged hundreds of times. There is a place for shiny new-looking weapons, but they should be extremely rare treasures that are locked away in pressurized vaults and guarded by angry mini-nuke armed robots. 3. Weapons that have that goofy, retro-quirkiness feel to them that Fallout is known for. Wood, metal and vacuum tubes > plastics, composites, and integrated circuits. Compatibility Apocalypse Armory will be fully compatible with CALIBR, EVE, FWE, and MMM upon release. It will likely not be compatible with other mods which edit the weapon, vendor, loot, and NPC level lists, such as FOOK2 or 20th Century Weapons. (Besides, there would be far too much overlap with the weapons already present in these mods.) Status The mod is approximately 90% finished, but still requires additional tweaking and beta testing. I have released some of the newer material as a series of preview mods, which can be found at the following links: Classic Fallout Grenades Fallout Tactics Sniper Rifle If interested, please check them out and tell me what you think! FAQ Ugh, Why another weapons mod? Despite all the other choices, I felt there was still a niche for my vision of weapons in Fallout 3. There are a number of great compilation mods out there, but they either (a) do more than add weapons, and affect other aspects of the game, (b) don't give a lot of thought to balance, distribution, and immersion, or © just don't fit in an environment which has seen two hundred years of post-apocalyptic ruin. Don't get me wrong, I love some of those other mods, but I always wondered where raiders got those shiny new composite automatics. This has been done already... Yes, many of the weapons in Apocalypse Armory have already seen life in other popular mods. But I felt it necessary to keep weapons that were originally placed in the Fallout universe, and the selection of additional weapons from the modding community and my own creations make it different enough. This mod also gives love to all the weapon classes, not just small guns, which tends to be the focus of many other mods. There will be new grenades, melee weapons, big guns, and energy weapons as well as the expected variety of small guns. Which weapons are already included? A full list will be posted here shortly. Check out the screenshots below for examples of the new content. How can I help? - I am open to any and all suggestions, comments, and constructive criticism. - If you are interested in beta-testing, please send me a PM and I'll let you know when it is ready for testing. - If you have an existing or upcoming weapon mod that you'd like to add, please contact me! I will look at all submissions, but will be looking for weapons that fit the criteria above, and aren't too similar to weapons I already have. - Full credit and links to your original work will ALWAYS be present in the online and packaged documentation. I take the credit and honor system in modding very seriously. 10. I was wondering this too. I have an old copy of it, and want to use some resources from it for another mod.
