  1. Well, it stopped working again. But then I thought to try something else. I logged off of my main user on the computer and tried a different one. It worked. Everything works fine on this user. Still a little slow but the nexus works. In fact this user works better. I have windows 7 if you are wondering. Now I want to figure out what is different about the two that makes one work and the other one doesn't? For now, I'll be playing skyrim here though.
  2. About a minute ago I went on the nexus and it was working. My computer is still running pretty slow though. Obviously I don't have my hopes up. I'll see if it is still working tomorrow. And I didn't do anything to my computer. We will see if it continues working.
  3. Yeah I was just shortening javascript in my last post. And I do believe it is a virus. If anything changes I will let you know. Hopefully when the geek squad comes they find something. I am pretty sure it is some kind of virus or malware like you said and my computer just hasn't detected it.
  4. I checked and java is enabled everywhere I looked, and nothing in firewall fixed it. I am going to call the geek squad out soon because my computer has been pretty slow. Maybe they will know what is wrong.
  5. I don't believe javascript is disabled anywhere. There may be somewhere I don't know about. I will try messing around with firewall and see if I can get anywhere. And I know it's something at my end, I just don't know what. Maybe a virus as my internet has been pretty slow but kaspersky hasn't found anything.
  6. @Thandal I have used every browser I can download. Chrome, IE, firefox, safari, opera. None of them work. The site does work on my iphone with Safari but obviously I can't download files.
  7. @Thandal I am the OP and I already said this but i'm using Chrome. I probably should have mentioned it in that post though. And I have made sure that javascript is enabled in the settings menu too. And I have updated my javascript, chrome, and anything else I thought might be causing the problem. It didn't work.
  8. I am pretty sure the problem is caused by something blocking javascript. I just don't know what. I have already tried everything i've found on the internet to no avail. If you guys have any ideas let me know. So far I have tried reinstalling javascript, disabling all extensions, made sure it was enabled in plugins, reset my router, and numerous other little things I can't even remember. I'll let you know if something works.
  9. I'm not sure what would be blocking JavaScript. I do have adblock, but I have already tried disabling it, restarting my browser, and then trying again to no avail. I have checked in Chrome's plugin page and JavaScript is enabled. I have even checked always enabled. That didn't work either. In Chrome settings I have made sure JavaScript is enabled as well. As for the .xul file thing, I have no idea how I would fix that. I am fairly good with computers, but that is beyond my knowledge. If there is anything else blocking JavaScript that you know of that you don't think i've tried, let me know.
  10. Thanks for responding. As for the first response, mainly I am using skyrim nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/?. There is the link for that, and it is every single file on the site pretty much. I can't download anything. I like to download files manually and obviously I can't do that, so I decided to download NMM, and I do have the latest version. I logged in on that, with the same log in I used on the skyrim nexus, and when I click the download with manager button in the top right, nothing happens. And I was able to log in once earlier, but i'm back to not being able to do anything.
  11. I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but it is the best part i could find. For the past week and a half I have not been able to click certain links on ANY of the nexus sites(skyrim, morrowind, fallout, etc.). I have tried 4 different browsers and am currently on Chrome. I have also tried clearing the cache, cookies, and browsing data. An example of the problem is I can't log in. When I click not logged in, nothing happens. It doesn't show the login dialogue. Also, when I go to a file, I can get to the file fine, but then I cant click anything on there. I can't view changelogs, I can't see the download section, and I can't view comments. I'm not exactly sure when the problem started happening because I hadn't visited the site for about 2 months, but it was working early January for sure. I have tried everything and I hope maybe I can get some help from here.
