Im sure others have said something similar, but I choose the gender of my character based on the overall role I wish them to have and the feel that the character gives me. Somtimes I play male character because I feel it fits better, other times I play female because I think that fits better. It's basically a minor role play decision for me.

This game will have nothing to do with the Creation Engine most likely. Dishonored is being developed my Arkane Studios, not Bethesda Game Studios. The game is just being published by Bethesda Softworks. And judging by how long the first expansion pack for Oblivion was released (1 Year) then it's likely we might not be hearing much for a little while longer. Plus, Todd said that they were going to be going the Fallout 3 rout for their DLC's in Skyrim. Less DLC than Fallout, but a lot bigger in size. So we may have two expansions packs only, while the other extra content, like new killscams, graphical features and the like will be done through updates. I must say that this is the first game dev that I have run with that offers new content via updates. Pretty interesting, I think.
Also keep in mind that Shivering Isles was the last piece put out for Oblivion. So the team had been working on all the other stuff like horse armor, the new homes, Knights of the Nine and so on. I am not saying that it took them a whole year to do the Isles. So, if all they are going to release are expansions, then we may be hearing something new towards the end of this month, or maybe late next month if not longer. Who knows, though? Bethesda is just so unpredictable right now.
I dont recall them saying anything about fewer DLCs but larger in size. I do recall them saying smaller in size though. Things more akin to NotN

I noticed recently (after installing Beth's hi rez texture pack) that logs inside fires have a very pinkish look now. I still want to use the texture pack but would like a different look for these specific logs. Does anyone know of any good ones out there? If it changes more than just the logs it's ok, I can grab the specific texture I want.

So...did nothing come of this?
It's not "tomorrow" yet.

KInd of goes without saying. Of course, there are restraints. Production time was already way long on this game. How many years? And hardware, it makes no sense to focus on the top 1% of those with hardware of the latest and greatest. My PC was pretty bad ass two years ago, but it's smart to not expect me to buy a new one just for their game. I'm glad they designed it to run at least decently on my machine. Still, compared to Dragon Age, the graphics are top notch. I had to tone everything down to medium settings in Witcher2.
No. See, what they needed to do was to spend 3 more years putting in every conceivable thing that every conceivable player might want. I know it's not the best business sense to not have time constraints on the production of games like this but they are a charity right?

This is just a copy and paste of a post I agree with
This. Come on people, he said it was one week for an individual person to take some time and SPEC out something. Many times it's a single camera shot of a CONCEPT to show it's feasability in the game engine. It's not like they took this entire feature list, programmed everything, set it up, QC'd it, balanced it, QC'd it again, then decided to put it into the overall world. Having a single scene of a player fighting with a spear doesn't mean that spears were developed by one person in one week. It's a spec reel for god's sake. Nice ideas... thinking out of the box once the game's released... but that's all it is. Proof of concept.
I'd hoped the cry babies would be gone by now...gods

Let me get straight what this does as I am sure I am not the only one not clear on it. So this allows you to activate the bsa without the use of the .esp? Will it also allow for custom textures to override?

I think that if you hated it that much when you first played it then you aren't going to like it much more after the CK is released. Besides, you weren't really detailed about what you didn't like that the CK could change.

Running mods like SkyUI or those which require SKSE and then patching the game and getting mad at the patch when bugs happen isn't very rational. I would expect such things to happen. This patch seems really good. Atleast I have had no issues with it. But then I have opted to not use mods that are likely to be broken by patches until patching is complete or nearly complete.

Who cares what they were?! I read this thread expecting to see real Skyrim dragons! I am disapoint...

I suppose you aren't using a shield? If so you could just use a hotkey to equip it the same for any weapon. But if you want to use your hands afterwards then you will need a mod to get it done via hotkeys, the only other way is to unequip in the favorites menu. Or you could equip a weapon/shield and then unequip it via hotkey. That is the easiest and fastest way without a mod.

I really wouldn't worry about it unless you are talking about the perks. The difference in skill is not going to have a major impact on your game. If you are talking about perks, then you use help "perk name" 0 to find out it's id and make sure to include the quotations. Then you use player.addperk perk-I.D. or player.removeperk perk-I.D.
-
I agree to disagree with the OP, wards are very useful. I also disagree that playing a pure mage on master difficulty is difficult. I've had to resist using illusion and I haven't taken the impact perk just so that I can keep things interesting. That said, I'll also have to disagree about the focus on fire spells. Atleast the way I play, I've found that fire spells don't kill fast enough to justify using them exclusively over the others. If I use ice I can kite melee types more easily and Magic users seem to run out of mana faster than they do hp when using lightning as opposed to fire. Of course, if I were using impact and illusion spells these tactics would be useless to me and fire would be the obviously better choice.

Well I don't believe this one can be radiant. The Golden claw is linked to the specific door in that specific dungeon. Further, there are scripted events within the dungeon that are relevant only to that particular quest, and that particular quest is needed to advance in that particular dungeon in order to progress in the main quest. (or if the radiant stuff does handle the quest it certainly doesnt make it random)

Im uncertain as to what you are trying to get at. Do you just want someone to confirm or deny the claim? I mean, if it's not true then so be it. If it is, who cares?

I didn't get a lot of it either. Maybe I have a very poor sense of humor

A lot of people call the Stormcloaks racist and stuff but I don't see it. The " Extreme racism" is a drunk guy mouthing off every now and then. There are no prision camps or slavery. The Dark Elves get the Grey quater because they are refugees and there is no room in the city. Even Elves like Niranye have managed to buy good property by working hard. Any race can join their army and rise up in the ranks as shown by the Player Character.
Well I believe there is a book that describes the experiences of a Dark Elf in Windhelm. It seems pretty clear from it that his people are not welcome in the least. But it isn't just the stormcloaks. It seems to be something expressed by the majority of Nords no matter their allegiance. The stuff about magic being for weak elves as well as light armor. Then of course there are the non-elven races who are treated even worse. Most aren't allowed into the cities at all, and there are few exceptions in the case of argonians.

I agree with many of your points here. I think people often overstate Ulfric's bad side. He makes very good points during his talk with Galmar and his speech is quite compelling. That's why my first character joined them. But as you mentioned, Talos founded the Empire. So it seems to me, or atleast my second character, that the Empire BELONGS to the Nords in a way. It is the product of their god that they so highly revere. If I were a Nord I wouldn't want to seperate from the Empire because it's being run badly, I'd want to take back control of it and restore it to it's former glory from the days of Talos. That is why my second character joined the Imperials.

The vet in Solitude doesn't have that line. He talks about how he was run through and left for dead. But the guy who has that exact line is in Windhelm, for sure.

Maybe you guys have seen this already, but I thought it was worth posting if you haven't. I think the words and the music is really great. It seems as though the author wouldn't mind it being put into the game so that a bard can sing it either, which is great because I wouldn't mind having it in my game! Also, just curious. If you were one of the developers of Skyrim or Jeremy himself, how would you feel about all of these talented people being inspired to create such great art just because of a game you made? I'd feel pretty good about it myself.

I'm sorry I wasn't more clear and detailed. greentea101 has the right idea though. It shouldn't be very difficult a thing to do at all so long as you just do it correctly

It's anyones guess. Tribunal was an expansion to the story in Morrowind where you completed the prophecy. Nights of the Nine expanded upon the Ayleids. They may very well expand upon the Thalmor part of the story, and they have certainly left room to do so. Both the Stormcloaks and the Imperials want to be rid of them....
I just want more content and a lot of it!
-
My first character joined the storm cloaks because he was very foolish and misinformed in many respects, plus he enjoyed chaos and reveled in it.
My second character is Nord who is a staunch worshiper of Talos. He despises the Thalmor, yet he will not let the Stormcloaks rip Skyrim apart. Talos was once the great Tiber Septim, the founder of the third Empire, and a Nord to boot. He was also the great uniter of all of Tamriel. He believes that to tear Skyrim apart from the Empire is blasphemous by it's very nature. He has therefore joined with the Imperials and hopes to one day defeat the Thalmor with a unified Tamriel (as Tiber Septim would have had it) and restore the worship of Talos among his people.

I wouldn't pay for it. I want more content in the form of new quests and such

Please help me merge 2 mods' leveled lists
