  1. OMFG....... you sir are a ffing legend!!!!! I used to post on fireundubh's page frequently, trying to solve this and maybe he never took that series of perks so thought we all were out to piss him off as he took it off both the nexus and steam workshop, then stopped the forum bit on guthub for bugs..... I have no idea how you managed to track this down, but having stopped playing FO4 because of the frequent CTDs (i'd just got used to the flawless one for Witcher 3), i was looking around to see if he had posted any updates and this thread came up... I have just had a massive firefight with BoS, raiders, rust devils, picking up throughout and had not a single crash!!! For those who don't know - whenever i was looking at an interactable object like a npc or container when the script cycled it ctd, removing the 3 levels or sandman perks as 'Valamyr' mentioned above, solved it! I would try it if you are having issues, i can't say it will work with you but please post if it does, then perhaps 'Valamyr' may have cracked it! Cheers, R

  3. I've been looking for the same and until someone updates the mod having found the new address pointer i think we are left with 2 options: 1. Rollback to patch 5 and use your mods or use the v45 cheatengine table. 2. Use patch 6, go through with 60 inventory until you get the inquisition perk to increase your capacity, after which the limit can be found in the savegame file for which there is an editor available. If someone in the know can update the mod for v6 then I would be very grateful! Cheers R
  4. I'm hoping someone will have a bright idea as i'm all out. Im about 80 hours in to Skyrim and have completed the Mage College questline. Somehow i've not started the Forbidden Legends quest but have killed both Jyrik (Saarthal) & Sigdis (Geirmunds Hall) and have read the book which is also meant to start the quest off. I have tried: Going back to both dungeons - resurrecting and killing the two brothers Force starting the dunGauldursonqst quest using startquest/resetquest and setstage 10 - no message on screen Sqs says that none of the stages are active. Maually adding the amulet fragments & writ of sealings. Can anyone help - unread the book / remove the flag set that this has been read, or recommend other console commands to use or a program to add the quest in out of skyrim? Cheers, r
  5. So, I'm either a House ending or an Independent NV man, as such i've befriended the King's & helped them in GI Blues. I'm at the point where i've just befriended the Boomers for House/Yes-man/NCR and now the NCR want me the kill Pacer.....now i want the ending of the Kings either that Mr House leaves them alone or that they turf out NCR squatters in the independent NV. Do i have to kill Pacer to get this ending, surely that will vilify me with the Kings to? If i leave King's Gambit alone, and just go with the Kings in GI Blues, do i still get those 2 endings above, or nothing? Anyone completed FNV in this way? Or know in the GECK where the ending scripts are that are quoted on the FNV Vault pages? Thanks in advance, R
  6. Hi, Is the above a problem with a load order or just inherent to the game? I proceed from the start doing missions like Those, Survival Guide & general exploring, yet when the Enclave arrive, previous "cleared areas" such as the sewers to GNR, some of the various Supermutant camps and Raiders, now have their original complement of folk even though i've been though and got all the items i want and killed all those around. I know in reality that the areas could repopulate it's just a bit annoying that they all do in my gaming experience, so it seems like i have to clear everywhere twice, since they don't seem to respawn if i eliminate them after the escape from Project Purity. Can i ask if this happens to others i.e. it's in the game, or whether it's a mods doing like the unofficial patch or another? With thanks, R
  7. I've got the full version of Rad Tools - a free download though. I'll try getting ffdshow again I'm running xp64 so there isn't an SP3 I'll let you know of the result. Many thanks for your help
  8. Yep, i've got the full game. Well, the original plus BS. None of the other dlcs interest me. I thought it could be codecs since i've tried pretty much all the nvidia drivers from 180 onwards. Can i ask what codec packs you have installed? Plus any other info you think appropriate, Cheers, R
  9. Hi all, For some reason my bik videos when played inside F3 stutter but with normal sound. However i can play them fine with rad tools. I've looked around and there used to be problems a while back but it was fixed in XP SP1. I'm using my onboard realtek but have also tried with a creative card (old) that i have. No change. I don;t have ffdshow installed and have updated my .net fx to the latest. I've also tried at all patch levels. Thanks in advance, R
  10. Thanks for the reply, My GPU sits at about 55 when idle and up to 70-75 under load. I am overclocking my card (though still only using the default settings in the program it comes with i.e. enhanced mode instead of safe). My cpu and mem are both o'ced but to the same extent they were last time I'm gonna uninstall all mods and see if there's any increase. The FSR only really works with 1.7 though it runs on my sys (1.5) - well i think its running through fomm. I tried the max frames ahead but didn't notice a change as yet. I'll keep updating this, thanks again for the reply
  11. Hi all, I'm having a really weird bug here. I previously played F3 i think on some nvidia's 18x drivers with nhancer and was getting 20fps min outside even with a huge firefight going on. I'm now on the latest 190's w/ nhancer again and i've tried everything i can think of to increase my FPS. It just sits around 10 when outside in the waste's. There's no change when decreasing resoultions or aa or af both iusing nhancer & the f3 launcher I've tried all the old 180 drivers i can find and for the life-of me i can't understand why. I've uninstalled all my texture mods but again there's no change. I've checked that i haven't clamped the fps in the ini Am fresh out of ideas...can anyone suggest a course of action? Secondly on a side note does anyone know of a way to disable or decrease the haze/volumetric effects when inside buildings/subways i.e. when you get dust particles and it looks like stagnant air. That definately hits my fps too. Thanks all, rahaney
  12. Hi, I can't remember where in the GECK under armor i can change the holstered weapon position. I.e. usually it's down your back but when wearing the T51B its inverted. I'm trying to correct a clipping issue. Cheers in advance, R

I increased the BlockLoadDistances aswell as the trees back to settings of 100000 and this resulted in my seeing all the Arrays plus Paradise Falls yet BigTown still doesn't load until you approach it, after this point however it does stick around if you're in the area since its loaded into mem but if you fast travel to Springvale & walk back it's gone again. I can confirm that the uGridstoLoad variable does increase the distance, at first @ 7 i had 2 rows of BigTown houses, then them all when i upped it to 9, but the problem is that using this variable loads the entire cell including actors/objects/items etc so it impacts your performance :( If you can show by screenies that when coming from Springvale and standing where i was and then adjusting a different variable - then this suddenly draws BigTown's buildings i'd be delighted. There's no marks for using the noclip tcl command to run towards it and then back ;) Cheers, R

Thanks aerialz for the tip, but i believe that variable controls the load distance of generic buildings, when i reduced mine it took away the power station stack in the distance but didn't draw Big Town :confused: I think i've narrowed it down to the uGridstoLoad variable but i'm hesistant to increase it above the default of 5. It's more the distance that the new grid loads up at. The screen below shows a very definite line (i put in the red to show you) where the engine stops rendering the area completely at. You can see the road changes clearly. I know u can increase the buildings & trees in the distance using other variables but i'd really like to increase the distance at which new grids load. I've upped the interior, exterior cell numbers & also the preload limit too so its not those.
  15. Hey all, I'm not sure which variable to edit in either the Fallout.ini or the FalloutPrefs.ini in order to solve an annoying problem. Mainly, its that when viewed from the Raider overpass north of 101 i can see objects in the distance like the satellite arrays & paradise falls but closer areas like Big Town are just represented as terrain i.e. i can see the flat area upon which they stand but the houses don't load up until i start moving closer towards them. I would quite happily trade one for the other, though having both would be good if the performace hit isnt too great. Should i edit my cell variable, blocks etc? I will try and post a screenshot, Cheers, rahaney PS: I added the screenshot and you can see the arrays, the chapel, the power station stacks in the distance but right in the middle of the shot should be Big Town!!!! Where is it?
