  1. I used 'carry corpse' lesser power to haul his ass through cells. You have tobe in sneak to pickup, so it takes ages to get anywhere. No idea where it came from, but now I know about it, I plan to throw more cool/dead stuff down my pit! Then I'm on the hunt for some necromancing mods.
  2. Last night, Oblivion actually surprised me! I met this chap called 'Durin's Bane' up in the Jerall mountains. Nice fellow, bit of a hot head and up for a giggle. I was right in front of him, not sneaking or shrouded in any way. He just stood there, in his chamber(littered with dead goblins), looking at me. I clicked him a few times, half expecting him to talk, and nothing happend, so I just hung around to see if he would do something, again nothing, but hes still looking at me. Its not like he hadnt noticed me, cos every time I moved he turned as if tracking me. After about 10 mins I decided to move on through a door I had spotted behind him. As I was walking past him, he turned nasty (I may have trodden on his toe) and took a swing for me, which damn near took my head clean off! So I ran, but dispite his size he was surprisingly quick, and gave chase. I thought "I'm not having this" and proceded to throw every thing I had at him. 30 mins of this and I've got nowt left, magicka and health are low, weapons and armour failing, and I'm fatigued. Yet hes still got half his health left and seems to resist all kinds of magicial effects, which didnt bode well for me. Now this chamber we're in is huge and very open, so theres not much I can put between us. I had almost given up all hope when I noticed he was a bit slow to turn, and i managed to get behind him. An entire hour had past(real time) before I'd managed to bring him down. By now I was so near death, if a mudcrab had come along and niped me, I'd have droped like a sack full. Never the less I was proud of my accomplishment. I searched the corpse, and was rewarded with one of his horns and a key. I was a bit dipleased with this, hoping for something more substantial I began to seach the chamber thoroughly. I found the weapon that had almost cut me in half. Still not satisfied, I resigned my self to pressing on through the door that ol' Bane didnt want me to open. And what do you suppose was waiting for me? A lump of rock thats what!! After all I'd been through, I was determined to have a trophy worthy of such an epic conflict. And with that I began to drag ol' banes' sorry ass all the way home, to Skingrad. all along the way goblins and ogres would jump me and try to steal my stinking award. When I finally arrived at the city gate. I was greeted by yet more disapointment! For the city gaurds would not allow me to enter with my prize. Undeterred I made my way back along the road towards the Imperial City. As I did, I recalled an old haunt of mine, just east of bravil across the Niben Bay. And woe betide any who would stop me from my own door. I've lost track of time by now, but I have arrived at my sea dome retreat, in one piece. Tired and bloodied I hauled Bane down the corridor and into the pantry(only place it was gonna fit), threw him down the pit, and that was that. I have a balrog in my basement, and I'm finally happy. What an adventure. I'm beat, going to bed. Night all! :P
  3. 'Luck' is the key to the door marked "possibility", behind which infinity resides! My own little philosophy on luck there for yous. Arent you special!?! As far as Oblivion is concerned, I think, 'luck' defines the probabilities and likelyhoods in the game, like whether there will be an enchanted weapon in that Ayleid chest or a piece of crap. Common sence suggests that 'luck' controls everything that 'could' and does happen to you! I'm not usually critical, but it seem a bit of a daft question. Perhaps you would get a more accurate answer from one of the programmers who worked on the game.
  4. I just came up with more mods! Just for visual aesthetics, but how about some animations and effects so when you cast a very powerfull spell, lets say a maxed shockdamage, the creatures and people hit will be vaporised rather than flop onto the ground or be launched into orbit as is the case with full power fireballs. Also I'd like it if when theres a storm, you would get random strikes, could be miles away, could be exactly where you're standing. The lightning has an initial effect of shockdamage with random value power and area effect , and a secondary effect of firedamage with power and duration correspoding to the shock power, and area corresponding to the shock area. you might be able to make it so your more likely to be hit if your wearing armour or if someone gives you weakness to shock during the storm. And if by chance the strike hits you, but doesn't kill you, it could give you amnesia making you forget your spells, and lowering your skills, kind of like a desease with no progression and a randomly selected trigger for the cure, this could be anything from getting caught in a cave-in to being struck by lightning again. I know you've got a lot on your plate Seph, but I'd like you let me know what you think. No pressure, its just that I have neither the software or the knowledge to use them if I did, so I dont even know what can or cant be done with Oblivion. Whether you decide to have a go or not is entirely your will, and I won't cry or declare jihad if you will not. but feedback is always a good thing, especially between modders and gammers(like thinkers and doers). I can think of countless things that would make Oblivion more of a virtual reality than a game without compromising gameplay or fun. For me Oblivion has always lacked in terms of atmosphere. Its getting towards its true potential with every mod thats made, but theres still something(s) missing, and I think this type of mod(above concepts), which add depth and change the nature of Olivion from a good game to a truely awesome and totally immersive RPG. Of cause nothing would be better than Oblivion online, alas but we can dream. So like I said no pressure :whistling:. And I'm not saying that my ideas are any better than everyone else's, but you are the only person making this offer, and I felt like sharing too! (soz if I overdid it) :whoops: Peace dude, don't work too hard, or you'll do yer sen a misschief! .btw. I'm not complaining, but should this post be in general mod chat? I dont care where it goes myself, but Seph your post might get more views there cos thats where peeps are supposed to post mod requests, and so I would assume thats where most peeps will go to look for posts like this one.
  5. Seph' Dude! Will you make me a suit of battlearmor, specifically designed for Argonians (what with them having tails and different shaped skulls)? I'm thinking 'HEAVY', spikey and real nasty badass looking. The helmet should be like a dragons head, and I'd like it to have smoke coming from the mouth and noseholes (not constant, more like breathing in the cold). Would you also include a cape that looks like dragon wings (sort of torn and old looking). I really like what you're doing with this post, its rare to find someone who is willing to put theirself out, and do for us what we cant all do for ourselves, and making all those mods must keep you pretty busy. So I say to you all, praise TheSeph' for TheSeph' is good! Kudos to you Seph', kudos...
  6. I would equip my useless army with partyanimal shirts n shorts, (cos its hot in Oblivion) put a pint where the swords usually go, and throw a massive end of existence party. and you better be dancing, cos Akatosh is on the decks, and you dont want to upset him now. DO YOU!
  7. Soz for not following format. I havent played Oblivion for ages. but my best charactor was: One of those lizard dudes, he wore all the bound armour(yes I cheated to make them permanent) cos I liked how they look. Used Bound sword(again cheated) enchanted with soul capture. His name was Belial(which means 'One with no master'). And funnily enough he worshiped noone! Btw, did you ask for these stats out of couriosity, or are you trying to make the ULTIMATE charactor?
