  1. In response to post #34580070. #34593695, #34611525, #34672095 are all replies on the same post. Actually, if the mod was working just fine pre-patch it was very likely something the devs changed. But Bethesda is the publisher, not the the dev. So yea, it's not 'their' fault. But the devs likely changed a few things that might break some mods. That's what happens you get patches.
  2. Well, traditionally the sdk releases two to three months after the game releases. I believe that's what we can expect this time around as well. That's how it's been since Oblivion I believe, or maybe it was Fallout,..... Anyway, expect it early next year.
  3. Hi there! All mod requests should be directed here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/3515-fallout-4-mod-requests/
  4. You're not going to be able to make anything as a new modder until they release the development tools. You can expect them early next year. Until then, I'd suggest looking into papyrus. Maybe try your hand at modding Skyrim for practice, as it's very similar. There are many good tutorials. Great to see that you guys are already hot on the scene. Looking forward to using F4se!
  5. wrong forum go here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/117-feedback-suggestions-and-questions/ This is hilarious. The circle of irony is complete. I for one can tell from personal experience that the mods are active on this forum. They're likely waiting for the forum to self moderate a little before being strict with guidelines. Oh, hi all! Happy scavving!
  6. I have a gtx660 and run between 30-60 fps on a mix of high/ultra. I do have a great i7 cpu and 16gb of ram though. The ram isn't all that big of deal, you should be able to get away with 8. You can get the 660 for under 200 easily. But bear in mind that it's not going to get you into the next gen of gaming. The card is very dated. You're better off going to a forum for enthusiasts honestly. They can direct you towards the best deals to fit into your budget. The 970 is in fact quite good still and I'd recommend that over a lower tier card if it fits your budget. Looking at your rig, it seems like you have decent ram and a decent processor that isn't really tailored for gaming but is pretty good. Your rig should be able to handle the 970 just fine. It'll also handle something like the 660 but for slightly higher price the 970 will age much better. I know next to nothing about amd graphics cards (never used them) , so I can offer no help if you wish to go that route. https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/3tcyby/i_want_to_run_fallout_4_at_higher_settings_do_i/ That might help you. This person here had a similar issue. That subreddit in general will probably help you.
  7. Doesn't really seem to matter whether I have the suit or PA on, I take the same amount of small environmental radiation. I don't think it's possible to completely eliminate the radiation from the glowing sea. It's a very small amount though. I'm getting health penalties from enemies like ghouls and such though. Are you sure it's not just damage from enemies that's giving you the health penalty? They can give you radiation damage as well. If that's not the case, then it's likely some sort of bug. What perks do you have?
  8. I think the hazmat suit is the only thing that 100% protects you from <i>environmental<i> radiation. I haven't tested this yet, but I will and I'll get back to you. It may in fact be a bug. I'll test it myself and report what happens.
  9. I'm assuming you're on the pc. Just like the person above me said, you can hit the ~ (tilde) key and open the console. Then you can type 'tcl' (no qoutes) into the console to disable collision and escape. Just type it again to turn collision back on. Also, do everyone a solid and report the bug to Bethesda. http://help.bethesda.net/app/fallout_feedback That'll help our folks on console. also keep in mind that the tcl command can break a lot of gameworld interactions, especially with physics objects that the player interacts with. Havoc seems to hate it. Try to turn it off when you're done with it.
  10. That works for anything you can select in the console btw.
  11. I don't think it's believable enough protection wise to be full on power armor with the same protection benefits as the bulky crap if you slim it down too much. But I definitely like the high tech look you're going for. What if you made it into an end game recon power armor, that buffs stealth, movement and energy weapons? since it wouldn't need all that energy from the core to move all the bulky crap around. should be easily doable once they release the tools. If you're interested in making it lore friendly, you could tie it to the institute. Use their fully uparmored heavy armor suits as inspiration maybe? Hell, you could give it even better protection then the others, but make it an energy based dampening system that drains core power everytime you take damage instead of using durability. It would actually make synths dangerous. Yeah,.... a tier above the x-01. An institute designed set of more anatomical pa that doesn't look like a walking coffee can. That's just my suggestion. Would you make a male version also? I would also suggest looking at the sisters of battle from 40k if you want to make a more traditional armor approach to it. http://toyznthehood.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Sister-of-Battle.png http://bloodcor.deviantart.com/art/power-armor-349719303
  12. The perk comment was more for if they were better balanced. The pa is horribly op right now. So yeah, they don't need perks right now. If the system was more robust, where the first suit was a heavily armored POS that you could barely even run in, as opposed to a god like nigh-indestructable fall damage eliminating ninja suit that can do everything the others can but with less resistance. There would be incentive to collect other suits. The lore even suggests that the t-45 suit was really clumsy and that the techs were 'considering' adding more strength to the legs along with servos and a gyro. But all of the suits are just damage resistance and cosmetic side upgrades. If the power cores were more balanced/lore friendly, they would last much longer. Then being forced to walk everywhere wouldn't be much of an issue. It'd be more of an immersion option. I would never force anyone to abandon fast travel.
  13. I understand that perfectly well, but I was just making light of it. I had just clicked on the browse button and bam, there was already a set of tits staring at me. Seriously, the nude mod icon is just a picture of tits. Not very classy. I just thought it was silly and vented a bit. Didn't think anyone would take it seriously. I certainly don't want to discourage people from modding. I just think the whole dress up deal is silly, and I don't really care who I tell about it. If those folks are really secure then they have no reason to give a single crap about how I feel about it. I'm not attacking them directly or trying to imply that they're 'perverted'. Their interests are just funny to me. It doesn't change who they are as people. They're probably awesome folks. My attitude doesn't transfer well through text, and I think I forget that a lot. I usually come across as pretentious when I'm just trying to be silly and take the piss. That's why they got the trolly responses, because I didn't feel that it warranted their bs so i just reflected it right back at them. I also regularly say things that don't seem like a big deal to me, but really rub people the wrong way. If people are civil in pointing it out ( like you ) I'll be the first one to accept it. Anyway, I'm gonna stop posting here off topic. I don't wanna get banned :) . But thanks for calling me on my bullshit and being nice about it.
  14. It's just a tacky balancing addition. At the very least, they could have made them excessively rare but last much longer. Then they could have made it so that you don't get one right off the bat, like made the one in the museum instantly run out of juice once the deathclaw is dead or something. The depth on the armor system is incredibly lacking. According to the lore in some of the military areas, the early model power suits are really strong and well armored but didn't allow the soldiers to jump. I would like to see more depth in the abilities of the different suit models. T-45 is heavy armored and slow, it has an even higher bonus to carry capacity but doesn't allow the user to jump or sprint and doesn't have good energy and rad resistance or allow for high tech upgrades or jetpacks. Maybe it doesn't even allow the user to fast travel. The X-01 on the other hand, has less armor and high mobility. It has very high energy and rad resistance and allows the mounting of jet packs and other high tech modules. Just some ideas. Maybe they'll expand the systems later. We won't see any really big armor mods until after the dlc releases probably. At the very least, there's already some mods that 'fix' the power drain on the suits but do nothing to alleviate how common they are (too common). They also didn't do a very good job of integrating them into the perk trees. There should be a great deal more to do with the most hyped part of Fo4 in the perk trees, but we only get two perks that have anything to do with pa.
