  1. Thanks, was just curious because I mod quite a bit and it is quite annoying how it does that, especially land because the heightmap editor seems to crash quite often so there is no other way that I know of to create landmasses but manually.
  2. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, didn't see one that had to do with the CS. But I just have a simple question, in my CS why am I only able to see a portion of the area. Example, when I am in game, I can be at the top of a mountain a mile away and see the imperial city, my computer is quite powerful But in the CS I see maybe a 20 by 20 area. Which makes it difficult to do landscaping, building, and to get a good sense of how big the area is. If I zoom out about 6 times I can't see anyting, it is just grey. I zoom in and I see the buildings and everything. But my computer should be powerful enough to where if I zoom out a hundred times everything should still be visble. Anyways, I want to know if there is a way I can change these setting's for the CS to allow me to see a lot more in the distance instead of maybe just a small portion. Thanks
  3. I built a underground Bunker and everything is complete but when I go to add light none of it it is working. I added a hundred lighting effects and still pitch black. Never had this problem with Fallout 3 and Oblivion. What could be the problem? Thanks.
  4. Sorry for the long post, wanted to add as much detail as possible. I don't really know how to explain this, but I have been working on a mod, so far its a big island, maybe about the size of two imperial cities. Anyways, its not a circle more like a rectangle island. I used the height map editor, I hate that thing with a passion, everytime I try to do something with it it crash's when trying to save or always get the error loading land height. But got it to work and made a small piece of land and no errors so I decided to go with that, started land scaping built a city and turned out magnificently so far. I go in game and check it out a lot to see how things are going. I noticed at one point going in game looking to the north (I am assuming north not sure though come to think of it) you can see the water but I say a couple hundred feet out you can see the water missing, it is a light blue color from a distance. Its a rectangle and its huge, about 80 feet wide and 300 feet long maybe. I jump in the water and swam there when I get there I can swim in it as if it was water, though you can see all the way to the ocean floor and its empty, no water, also I don't think I was able to drown either. Kept swimming straight and when i got to the other side it was water as far as the eye can see again but turning around and there it was. Its just a big patch of air sitting there. I said I will fix it later I was doing something, continue with modding but going the opposite direction and I think far out in the distance are more of these. Anyways, finally I make a small port quite far away from the city I built opposite side of this island and when I was done with the adding houses and everything and added some docks I went in game and checked it out, and in this small port of just a couple of houses looking off into the water and there is another one of those patches of mssing water. Anyways, I don't think its a hardware problem, my computer can handle any game on max settings. I also haven't place anything there or even gone near these patches modding wise. My island is fine however. Anyways, I have modded a lot for oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3 not so much in the past year. But I have never ran in to this problem. Anyone know what it is and how to fix it? Thanks.
  5. Thanks for the reply's. Maigrets seems to be correct. My Interior has nothing to do with the Exterior messing up, I kinda didn't think it did just a little unusual this happened after I completed the Interior. It was that I had a test character already at the islands from checking it out earlier and after fixing up the the exterior and loading the game with that Character it seemed to make duplicated items and making the CS default to them each time I loaded the plug-in. It has been a long long time since using these Construction Sets, sad I had to learn this error this way haha. As for the saved plug-ins. Last night a started a new one and it isn't appearing. However when i go to save and it asks where to save the mod (Default is Data Files) it shows all of my Mods there and I click save in that directory and it has to save otherwise I wouldn't be able to load it up in game or the CS. However I navigate back to Data Files to see and it is not there, or my previous ones but I can load them in game. My previous mods from a few months a go are in there. I find this odd haha. But I got the bggest problem solved :) Once again thanks for helping out. It was very much appreciated.
  6. Using the Construction set I have been making a new mod and it is pretty big and has taken countless hours to do. However, last night I made the first interior to this mod took roughly 12 hours and still isn't complete. Then I deceieded to fix the exterior fort as it was glitchy. I did that only took about a half hour. I didn't add anything new just moved some walls and parts of the foundatin around to fix it. However, in game it looked the same so I went bak to the CS and the original fort was still there except the pieces I moved around e.g. the walls were also where I moved them and just made things that much worse. The interior seems to be working fine, however the exeterior world never started acting like this until I started the interior. I have not changed anything in game what so ever, my mod is way far out so it is not conlicting with anything. Anyways. After fighting with this for hours I said I would just delete the fort and start over. So i did saved it and restarted the CS and the stupid fort was still there screwed up! Im think this is stupid... I can't even delete it. So i went to a castle I built (exterior) and moved some stuff, for the most part it was in great shape just a couple walls were overlapping. Saved the mod, came back to the CS and went back to the castle. And it did the same thing the fort did, it looked the same before I started messing with except once again the walls and foundation I moved were like copied or something. I have not a clue what happened. So, I loaded a earlier version of this mod, still not as complete as I liked it to be but still would beat the heck out of starting over. Haven't touched this version in weeks. I go to the fort try to delete it, and it won't. Acted the same way as before. Anyone have any idea what this is? Why the CS will not let me add anything or move anything as when i do it leaves the original and still adds what i did. Please, I have done a lot of modding but this is by far way to ridiculous. Also, on a side not. Im using Vista and Hidden files is off I know for 100%. However I have never been able to find this mod. All my other mods are in the Data directory where the CS saves them. However this one isn't. So when testing something out I made a new mod and saved it and didn't appear either. Then i tried saving it to desktop (easy to find) to see if it would appear and it didn't However These mods appear in Data Files in the game menu and I can play them and also can load them in the CS so they are there. Just can't find them. I tried searching in my computer and found them, kinda. They are shortcuts only and don't lead to the files. They say the directory these files are in is data Folder wich is where the CS saves them but I swear they are not in there. My previous mods are, just not any new ones. Anyone know what thats about? That has never happened before either. Anyways, sorry for the long post. But I have no idea why the CS keeps acting this way all of the sudden. Any help would be great, Thanks.
  7. I have been modding Morrowind a very lot. (Some Oblivion but the disk messed up and won't copy dat.7 cab and I had to uninstall oblivion) I just want to know, how do I make a new "exterior". Outside of the world of Fallout 3. A link to a guide would also be fine. Thanks and appreciate any help :)
  8. I have modded morrowind and oblivion alot, but even then I have just been lost. But after awhile I got use to it. Fallout 3 I can't seem to get anything to work. Where do I install mods? Data folder right? Do it and they don't show up. I have the archieve invaldiation thing btw. I tried FOMM but use to have it in program files - Betheseda softwors - fallout 3. Then I tried program files - Betheseda softwors - fallout 3 - Data. I don't really get what it does? When i download a mod where do i put it at, like in the FOMM mods folder? Or data what? Tried all of them and still the FOMM screen is blank. And they don't show up in Fallout 3 launcher. Im beyond lost when it comes to Fallout 3, I have UAC diabled also. Im on Vista so I disbabled it. I don't have the disk atm to reinstall it in another location. Though if I must ,could I not just copy the entire folder to another location and delete from program files? Or will that not work. Anyways, I would appreciate any help, thanks.
  9. Thanks, when I get a chance I will get premium. Always nice to help a site such as this one.
  10. Hey, I haven't logged on to this account for awhile now, not since I was getting mods for oblivion. But now im trying to get some for fallout 3, I read the page where they said they are working on the site but was wondering is that what is causing me to download at 30kbs? I thought I read somewhere non premium members speed are capped at 150 so I was just wondering. If so about how long do you think it will last? Everywhere else my speeds are normal but here they are about 30 :( Anyways, thanks for the help. And sorry if this is in the wrong area.
