  1. I don't need arms to protect myself against the state, or help protect the sate - thats what the army is for. But I don't think changing it in anyway will ever be possible in the USA, its basically a part of your culture. Anyway, I like the fact that nobody in our town has arms, except the police that is. But its probably what you've grown up with that decides if your against or for this.
  2. I'm working on a DVD which contains most of the popular mods so you'd only have to download it once and burn it on DVD to enjoy it for the rest of your life even on low bandwidth. I'm afraid there aren't really any other places to download them, maybe there is a torrent somewhere you should try the homepage of the mod or ask the author. Well, goodluck with the downloading.
  3. Damn, that does sound like fun, but remember there is no easy way to do that. I suggest you start with something minor first before doing a mod that big, it might be part of the mod - you might start with a turret first for instance, or use the in-game ones and start on a upgrade-system first before you start on that idea. Second, I'm not even sure its possible (coding wise) to add a upgrade system to in-game NPC's (turrets). Making zombies is all about using somebodies animations (or create your own) and then create the textures but again if you never did it its a hard place to start. Its not a bad idea, but you really should think about modding something easy before doing this:) goodluck
  4. I was hoping its possible to add some consistancy in the licensing information on the mods uploaded to Nexus, I mean adding a simple License: SomeLicense. Its way easier then reading each individual readme / disclaimer. OpenDesktop.org for instance uses this method, each item uploaded there comes with license information and a link to the license. (Example: http://opendesktop.org/content/show.php/2M...D?content=99450 ) Anyways :) Its both a request and a suggeston. Hope its possible.
  5. You assume that... but only because you only a player and not a mod-maker... Mod-Makers not only like, if their mods are played, they also like to get some feedback for it. They like, if they recognize, that people use their mods or leave something nice in the comments, like an endorsement or nice speech or even constructive critism how they could improve their mod. They also like, if people download their latest version and not stick with something outdated, because updating their mods also often takes a lot of time. So, if you just grab their mods and relaunch them, all these points are left out for them. It's very unlikely that a player, that uses your package returns to the original author to provide feedback. He not even could endorse it, because this would require to download it from the original source. I would belive, there are tons of arguments why a mod-maker don't want his mod is published somewhere else then he want it to. I get what your all trying to say and its the last time I'm replying to these posts, Yes I assumed, Yes I acted on my own, Yes I didn't ask. Now, if any mod creator of the mods listed above wants me to remove this due to licensing issues, tell me I'll remove it. Untill then I'll leave it here. I meant no disrespect but only to help people installing mods, so if you really want this removed just tell me.
  6. I know how copyright works, but most mods weren't copyrighted and or licensed. I respect the mod-creators, if they wish their mod to be removed from a easy-install source its their choice and I'll remove the files from the internet and never upload it again - but thats just spoiling an easy install disc.
  7. I'm not surprised by negative reactions, most mods didn't even have a license or a disclaimer and its impossible to find each license and or disclaimer of each mod as there is no consistency used. I didn't violate anyones work here, simply made their mod install silently for end-users to enjoy them. I assumed the wish of a mod-maker was that people Used the mod, played the mod, this only contributes to that cause. As stated above all work I did on it is licensed under GPL, so I would have no hard feelings if somebody changed, redistributed, used etc.. my work. If the entire community thinks this is a respectless I'll just remove it. I just don't see how I harm anyones mod with this, I get that its the right of the mod-creator to disallow re-distribution / re-publishing, but in that case there is no point in making a mod as its impossible for the mod to be spread. Again, I mean no disrespect, and I anticipated on the negative comments - and again, if this isn't wanted in this community - just remove it.
  8. I know I didn't ask before adding mods, due to the share amount of mods added to this pack - it would take ages to ask each author personally to allow re-publishing. Instead I added authors to the credits, a link to the nexus page in sources, a list of mods included in included, the description of the mod was taken directly from the nexus page (description shown on the right bottom of the program.) I see your point, but I hope you understand reading each disclaimer of each mod woult take me ages - I mean no disrespect in re-publishing your work and I'm really glad you created it.
  9. 1. I know they get updated a lot, but the mods included were pretty stable at the time, so a part from missing new features it shouldn't be a huge problem. 2. They don't all work together, you can select the ones you want to install - plus you can select the ones you want to activate. As stated, its has most popular mods - it wasn't about making 1 pack with mods that work with each other - just easy installation of most popular ones. 3. I added credits to them in the ReadMe, plus I added them to the sources with a link to their page on tesnexus - if they really hate people installing their mods through a installer - I can remove the post :) I knew before posting this people would complain about a few stuff, if you don't like it I just suggest you don't use it - with this its just easy to install mods after a fresh Fallout Installation. I don't want to take credit for other people's work thats why I added the credits section to the ReadMe, plus the sources in the ReadMe. Don't worry about taking me down, I don't take offence on it - its your opinion and I respect that. I'll take all opinions on it in consideration.
  10. Removed due to complaints;) - I still need to wait for some modders giving me permission to use their mod (or not), while I wait for them I cant give anything yet. Sorry for the inconvenience.
