  1. So before i get started on the issue, the last date i saw on this issue when i hit up google was 2019. and the time I'm posting this it's drawing to the end of 2 months of 2022. So yeah i feel need to ask the community (and hoping someone on the Nexus crew picks it up as well would be helpful if you can let us users know what's going on please) So the problem as the topic titel says, it's Vortex randomly uninstalling mods. using well known modded games and commonly known issues as examples here (but it's not limited to them by any means) So you can be playing skyrim modded to heck one day, but lets say the next day you get something like cyber punk on steam, you install it, realise the game is unpliable without the community fix mods, So you get vortex to do it's whole detected games thing (because new game added to the list), you get all those mods working and off you go playing cyber punk. then for what ever reason you feel like taking a brake and switch back to skryim, and that's when it hits you BAM, nexus just uninstalled all your skyrim mods for no reason what so ever. But that's not all, it's often a fight with Vortex to keep mods working even when you don't to the above mentioned thing. many times now i've had to reinstall mods every day because vortex is somehow not finding it's own files. Because of that i hit up google looking to see if there was something going on, or if there was a fix, of if there was something i should be doing, but i'm finding ZERO helpfulness anywhere on this topic. SO folks HELP PLEASE.
  2. So what about those of us using oldrim getting this problem? there are a number of mods still refusing to move to skyrim SE so have to use oldrim (not that there is much of a change between the two, just more memory usage) The following is the warning I keep getting on Oldrim. i've had it work twice no issues then suddenly this is coming up. it's also not reading any lovers labs mods or even it's own animation pack (such as animals) followed the "how to instal" step by step and yet always seem to run into issues with it sooner or later :/ >>Warning: Expected generator path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users not found<< Oh and before you start the whole "its an legal copy" BS it blooming well is not it's a steam copy, but because you seem convinced you can only get skyrim from steam i can't use my hard copy from a CD i got for Skyrim back in the days when you could still buy disks for skyrim at your local game store that sells legitimate games. so no i'm not using my LEGAL hard copy i'm using the Steam addition.
  3. i have two PC one i can log in on just fine (as you can see) but the other i get this stupid agreement thing popping up, that wont let me agree! its a bit of a pain in the behind when you can not even load the site because this stupid thing will not let you progress to even log in.
  4. yeah i think i'll be sticking with 3.2 simply because the tips thing is freaking annoying even after you've told it to go away and turned it off, but also because the quick clean is doing odd stuff. so i'll be sticking with doing things the HARD way manually.
  5. skyrim or any of the elderscrolls (just not ESO) But if it had to be an MMO I would pick Guildwars 2
  6. First try right click run as admin. (if win 8 ) on the NMM icon go to properties, then click on the tab "security" there you should see a list of user groups, highlight each user and press on edit, this should bring up the next menu with a whole bunch of check boxes, you want to check the one "Full control" and then apply, do this to each user. Then try running it. I am not going to say it will fix it but that was how I got it running when I first had this problem.
