  1. I had the same idea :D It would also be cool if it gave some kinda x-ray vision ^_^ I hope someone looks into this in the future good luck with the request mate.

Or change the graphic to an outline instead of the glaze.

    +1

All you need to do is add your helmet to favorite tree. (Q button in inventory)

You still need to take your helmet out manually by opening inventory and clicking on it but to wear it again you dont. Just press button 0-9 and you have it again. And yes when you are looking at NPC´s without helmet and then you press the helmet button your Targeting HUD will start working. So basically all we need is some kind of fix so taking out your helmet can be triggered when pressing this button.

    First post!

I would love to see this implemented as well!!

It has already been done, even better than you described!: http://www.nexusmods...ut4/mods/4314/?

  2. considering how shotguns are usually in games fallout 4 is one of the more level handed displayed in games though if memory serves the http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2463/? weapon balance overhaul mod does decrease spread and increase range.

^ Yeah this mod is great for all guns in general. Also you know you can mod your shotgun to have more range? And if you're using the combat shotgun, that thing DEVOURS ammo. It was my fave gun for a while and almost beggared me.

  3. You don't even need to reload, just keep switching guns it reloads everything automatically. You would think this would be fixed but it;s been around since F3.

Yeaaahhh... I hate exploits like that but at the same time I wouldn't wanna pull out an empty double barrelled... Needs to auto-reload in your invent after 30 seconds or something ideally.

  4. firstly keep in mind that Fallout is not an FPS game, it's an RPG with FPS elements, so don't expect it to follow quite the same blueprints

secondly, if you're unable to find a mod to address this (in which case you might have to wait for the official construction kit to be released in the next month or two so more stuff can be modded) there's at least one perk that affects reloading (Quick Hands) and if memory serves I think there was a magazine that gave a perk towards it as well

Yeah the game's genre has nothing to do with this being missing, its just bad game design. No mods add this currently, and perks don't add it either.

I guess I'll just wait, it probably requires scripting that can't be done currently.

  5.

This is possible at the moment using various mods. I use Alternate Settlements which has a few different sized foundations, with different concrete textures.

Using Place In Red mod, you can clip them into each other so the floor doesn't show.

I also recommend Settlements Expanded, OCDecorator, Homemaker, Simple Intersections and all of the patches.

Thank you, i didnt realize alternate had other foundations, it appeared to be just rugs looking at it quickly. Appreciate the heads up ^.^

    No problemo bro

  6. Personally, I haven't had much luck using those cash registers on any surface. The mod author recommends using another mod that allows for more precise placement of objects, but the other mod is a bit more tedious to use than I'd prefer to deal with. However, Homemaker, which should be something you try out anyway, has placeable rugs that you can use for merchants. They stand slightly behind them at the moment, so they won't be right in front of whatever object you place the rug behind, but they should still easily be in range to barter with.

You have to replace the register first then slide a bar/counter under it. But yeah I agree, even with Simple Intersections I couldn't find anything to fit under the first aid kit properly.

Definitely need Place In Red to make it look ok.

  8. This thread title is misleading lol. Apocalypse makes people think of huge disasters and nuclear weapons, I almost replied to this thread with a link to Fallout 3 haha.

I think what you should call it is Barbaric Skyrim or Fallen Empire or something, it would be similar to the fall of the roman empire in real life. This is a fantastic idea for a questline, just "delete" most NPCs from cities and replace them with orcs or bandits or whatever and make the cities ruined.

You could have some cities completely destroyed and abandoned, and others taken over by diifferent races/monsters. For example a city where a spider queen has taken over and its filled with spiders.

The cities could essentially become sprawling "dungeons" with loot and monsters. And because the cities are already in the game you would just have to "ruin" them by changing some textures/models and adding others/deleting buildings and replacing with rubble etc.

It actually wouldn't take a colossal amount of effort to achieve the first part. But moving city NPCs to wilderness camps and writing quests to restore the Nordic empire would be where a lot of content would be necessary.

Assuming you just wanted a collapsed civilization skyrim without the NPCs and quests involving restoring it, this idea would actually be relatively easy and fun to make.

Fantastic idea, if I start to get into modding I will definitely do this because it doesn't require scripting.

  9. I think this would be a really fun project for an experienced or new modder. I'd love for the wooden mesh sails to be replaced by canvas sails.

IMAGES ARE REDUCED RESOLUTION - GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCH THEM FOR FULL RES

As you can see cloth sails look much nicer than the vanilla mesh ones (The physics of mesh vs cloth are irrelevant in this game and cloth does not break immersion or lore).

You can pretty much do as little or as much as you feel like, but just a straight up texture swap would make me so happy. It would be cool to have animated flapping canvas and stuff but that's probably hard to do.

As you can see there is lots of variation and potential available in windmills. They are beautiful buildings and nobody else seems to have modded them graphically yet. I wish modding was as easy as minecrat or garrys mod, it would be so fun to revamp windmills.
