I think the point of an alternative start mod is to skip the sewers completely. My problem is with having to go through the IC sewers, not with starting in the city.

I want to be able to choose to start in any city or in the IC dungeon. Starting with basic items that make sense with your race and class like in Alternative Start Arrive by Ship would also be nice.

It would be nice if players could see old journal entries for partially or fully completed quests like in Morrowind. It would also be nice to have a section in the journal for completed miscellaneous quests.

Having an alternative start mod for Oblivion that's more like Live Another Life for Skyrim would be a great improvement over the current mods I've found. There's already a few that start the player at various locations around Cyrodiil but none are as good as the options for Skyrim.

With subtitles lack of voice acting is bearable. I've dealt with it before in mods. I've seen mods add more factions so adding ranks to existing ones should be possible.

I like the factions in Oblivion but I often don't feel that I deserve to be the leader of all of them. It would be nice to be able to give a relevant NPC that role like what Immersive College of Winterhold for TES5 has. I still want the option to lead each guild but I shouldn't have to.
