  1. It's being said that Vortex does not require OneDrive to work. If that's the case why do I constantly get error messages preventing me from installing mods and running the game saying "C:\Users\PC\OneDrive\Documents\MyGames\Fallout4\Fallout4Custom.ini.base" is a removable, possibly network drive that has been disconnected."? I uninstalled OneDrive, had to add an exception in security settings to allow Vortex permission, and still nothing works. It says it's a problem with my "environment" and yet NMM works just fine, like Vortex did before the "all mighty" took over and then it went to crap.
  2. If it must be a laptop, this is a good value for the money. Asus GL703VM-NH74: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834234830 Here is a cheaper alternative. Slower than the other by quite a bit when it comes to the GPU - but it's not bad at all. MSI GL62M 7RDX: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154230 Here is are some pre-built desktops that is a pretty solid deal. You will need to buy a monitor, but that's all you'd need to buy after that. None of these computers should be gaming at resolutions over 1080p most of the time, so 1080p is the native resolution for the monitors I've linked. Asus VZ249H: https://www.amazon.com/Monitor-Asus-VZ249H-23-8inch-speakers/dp/B01HZZ12YK Acer R240HY: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-R240HY-bidx-23-8-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B0148NNKTC I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd put this out there for anyone still wondering. I have an Asus GL703VM and have been playing everything under the sun in ultra settings with very nice fps since I got it. It's an amazing laptop I paid $1029 for on newegg and adding few things for total of about $1300. I have been stuck in Skyrim LE because of limited mods for SE all this time and just recently started playing SE. Let me save you some time, frustration, and money. DO NOT buy this laptop to play SE on. It's fantastic for everything else, but for some reason SE will make the CPU and GPU overheat and to the ranges of 87-97 degrees which will cause it to throttle making your game play at 3 to -10 fps. Away from cities you'll be able to play about 30 min to an hour before this happens, in cities about 5 min. And before you ask or say something, yes, my fans and heatsink are super clean and old thermal paste remove and replaced with arctic silver and nothing is overclocked. I'm getting ready to build a desktop just to play this game for $1600 with R9 3900x and RTX 2060. SO to be fair, if you're going with a laptop, do not go cheap. Look more into the cooling system than the awesome specs.
  3. I'm glad everyone has been having so much luck with SE. I on the other hand have not. I can play LE with 100+ mods with the normal crashes every few hours, and that's with a number of lighting, weather, and texture overhauls plus a ton of LL mods. My SE I've tried playing with minimal mods and no lighting, texture, or LL mods, and no matter what I try within about 20 minutes (if I'm lucky) my game drops to 1 fps and sometimes -10 fps. Spent days searching and trying tons of so called fixes and nothing works. I do like the way SE looks from the start, but the fps stutter and lack of mods that work (converted or new) like they are supposed to even now are just terrible. 4. I know this is an old thread, but I'm having exactly the same problem minus the house mod, never used it. I've been using the same mods save a few clothing, animation mods, and Immersive Citizens and I have never encountered this before. Started a new play through and everything working fine, then all of a sudden bamm, dialogue gone. I can reload a previous save, everything comes back then bamm, about the same time passing later, dialogue gone again. Tried to use UFO, since I used it previously with no real issues, but didn't help. Tried AFT in the past, but I absolutely hate the way it works. Tried disable, enable, kill, resurrect, set followercount to 0, and no matter what Chloe (part of Loverslab mod that I've played with for years with no issues) is still a follower with no dialogue other than "I need you to do something". Searched all through nexus and steam forums, and about 50 google links and nobody seems to have a real solution.
  5. On the bright side, at least yours didn't make you just sit there clicking while nothing happens. Got the newest version from nexus, followed the instructions, hit Cntr+Del and nothing happens. Been at it for hours trying to remove this dependency from a mod. Try Wyre Bash, CK, and TES5Edit and all of them will point out the dependency, let me view it, but nothing else.
  6. Good luck finding the culprit. I would suggest (and not without dread), uninstalling, permanetly deleting the mods from NMM, reinstalling the game, installing the smaller mods (like weapons, armors, important mods like racemenu, HDT physics, etc. ) and install mods like HD textures, enbs, additional homes and sites after starting the game and making a clean save. Reason I say this is these can be extremely taxing on the game and it will help you allot in finding the culprit. Also in case you haven't done it, make the necessary changes to you SKSE.ini file to enable the built in memory patch. Video on youtube to help you do it. I've been playing with about 120-150 mods (allot of them are Sexlab  ) and played for some time with very little crashes (once or twice in about 12 hour period). Got a new laptop, installed again, played about 4 hours not a single crash. Realized while searching for new mods that I had several mods that were extremely outdated, oops. Update 4 mods, played 10 minutes, bamm, constant crashing ( by crashing I mean stuck at load screen forever) every few minutes. Checked load order and dependencies with Loot (no problems), ran FNIS, nothing changed. Now stuck in breezehome. Can's walk out the door, can't COC anywhere but inside whiterun stables (worked perfectly), leave stables, bamm stuck at load screen forever, again. Even checked save game cleaner "no orphan scripts detected" (CRAP). Tried bout everything except the 1 thing I know will fix it, just sucks to do it, Delete and start over without the newer mod versions.
