  1. Ah, a wonderful topic for me. But I have a hard time to decide and choose only one, so if you don't mind, I will take 3 games:

-Panzer Dragoon which was my 1st 3d game. It's so pretty and truly epic in evey aspect. The music made me like classic concerts

-Resident Evil 2 which was probably the only game I played more than 20 times in a row uncovering all secrest(the only thing I never managed was the Tofu Survivor)

-Final Fantasy VII which was my 1st real RPG I ever played. I never experienced such a wonderfully told story and great gameplay before.

I remember when Myst came out. It was the epitome of graphics at the time.

My favorites would be the original Final Fantasy (as flawed as it was) and Aces of the Deep.

  2. It's not just graphics that hurt the quality of older games. Most older RPGs are in top down views (isometric?) and I hate that. I've played Arena which has terrible graphics by today's standards, but would knife out my eyes before I suffer through Baldur's Gate because I hate that stinking camera angle. It doesn't effect older gamers as much because some of them started gaming with text based games and anything is an improvement over that.
  3. The stupid snowman isn't hurting anyone. I routinely see bumper stickers that are more offensive.

I'm not condoning his actions, but people need to have a little perspective and chill out. As I said before this is something the HA (if they have one) should take care of. When he starts writing "Die, N-, Die!" in his yard or puts nooses in trees, then he's crossed the line and broken the law.

  4. Oh, wow, that is the second one on the search...

Yeah, that's pretty sad. I didn't think it could get worse but now there's a tentacle rape mod on this site.

Hosting the skimpy armor mods is one thing, sadly, that's an ingrained part of fantasy. The simulated sex mods are a slap in the face to the community and Bethesda. I think the reason that Bethesda doesn't police mods is because they don't want to know what kind of warped crap is being created.

  5. I'm pretty sure that there are some mods that increase the gold they can have, but it's been a while since I've played (just started up again) so I can't recall it off the top of my head. The old trick in Morrowind was to buy crap from vendors to increase the amount of gold they have but I don't think that works in Oblivion.
  6. It IS virtual voyeur.

I like your point about the actual effect being a female has on gameplay. Like, you I prefer agility and precision over strength and brute force. Another issue is lack of support for male characters in games with lots of mods. It seems as though female mods outnumber male mods 10 to 1. :P

Not to mention male characters often get pigeonholed into being a bruiser type character which I greatly dislike.

  7. Actually, you are forced to look at them when you dig through armour mods. Even if you have the adult filter on you still have to dig through metal bikini files. Not to mention that without fail, there will be at least one picture of questionable taste in every mod's image section.
  8. My thoughts exactly. The most download FO3, Oblivion, and Morrowind mods are nearly all distasteful and serve only to reinforce the notion that gamers are immature perverts. Some of the stuff hosted here is sickening.

OP, you lose out on a lot of good mods if you just stick to lore friendly ones. As long as it doesn't completely violate the setting (ie M16s in Oblivion) I find it OK to use.
