Same problem here, I had it working before reinstalling and i used the same installer as before.

I recently tried to install tamriel online manually, and when I followed the instructions on a tutorial exactly, completely lost control of everything except opening and using the console. I reverted my skyrim my skyrim folder to vanilla, and the problem continued. It seems to me the game is no longer reading any input from where it should be, but I have no idea why or how.

The problem was a CTD so i deactivated all my mods and cleaned my skyrim folder and the problem persisted. MO is a completely separate program that won't affect skyrim unless you launch the game through it, so the game was vanilla and I was just launching through MO. I think the problem may have been a skyrimprefs.ini problem but I don't know enough to know what exactly the problem may have been.

I ended up having to do just that which was my last resort, but I wanted to know if anyone knew what the problem may have been so I could fix the problem that way. Cloudetruth, I have a clean install, meaning no mods in my skyrim directory and the save is vanilla so there are no plugins to be missing in the first place. The problem was with MO, not any mods or skyrim itself.

Unfortunately that was not the problem. Backed up the files like you suggested and got the same result.

I've been using mod organizer for several months with no problems I couldn't solve by deactivating all my mods, but now that is the exact problem I'm having. I deactivated my mods, cleaned my skyrim folder by using a backup so there was no chance of me missing any files, and launched skyrim through MO and the game crashed with no error message when I tried to load up a vanilla save. This doesn't happen when I launch the game directly through steam or by using TESV.exe directly. Does anyone know what might be happening and how to fix it? My specs are: Cpu i5 4660 RAM 32 GB DDR3 Motherboard z-97m plus GPU Geforce 660 2GB VRAM OS Windows 7
