Update: I have no idea what's going on lmao I guess it may be a bug on my end... maybe a glitch or something. But apparently people are downloading it so I guess it's fine. I don't understand the virus check process very well. So I apologize for possibly asking for help over nothing. I just assumed that if the download button didn't show up for me. It wouldn't for other people? I even signed out of my account and looked, there was no download button available. I dunno. -

SOLVED: It took me all night but I was able to figure out a work around. The problem was that the abilities, spells, shouts, and lesser powers. Are broken up into different stages. A spell has to be readied, possibly charged. Then released. A Lesser Power doesn't, It only has one stage which is the release. But it isn't flagged as a stage like with a spell. The only way to get the desired sound with which ever effect I wanted. Was to get creative with the on hit events, and effects. For this particular Lesser Power, that I was creating from a racial ability. I needed to set an onhit sound. That would activate the sound when it hits an object. So I set the sound, and effects projectile etc... Then I made sure that the magic effect was ticked for no hit effect. For some reason it gives the illusion that the sound is triggered on the Lesser Power release. The sound still only plays when the effects hit something. But with the no hit effect ticked, the sound plays at the character, as opposed to being across the room or the world. If the ability doesn't make contact with something registered as an actor the sound doesn't play. But the ability isn't meant to be used that way anyway. There is a good chance that most people won't notice, because when they use the ability it will be aimed at a target 99% of the time. I will just pretend like it is lore friendly, why would the creature roar at something, if there isn't anything there... Thanks, if anyone needs help with a similar issue. I would be willing to try, if I can.

Hey, I did figure out that if I make the Lesser Power into a Spell. Then I change the equip type to my hands. I can get the sounds to play. The only issue is that the ability that I made. Was intended to be a voice based power. It was meant to be a roar. Which is kind of underwhelming when there is no sound lol I mean I can set it to throw someone across the map. Or anything else. I just can't get it to make a sound. From what I can tell, the only reason the spell will work. Is because there is a Charge, ready, and release stage. I guess with the other options, they don't have any stages associated with the functions. My problem is... That I have managed to pull it off before. But for the life of me I CAN NOT figure out how on Earth I managed it. Thank you anyways my friend.

During troubleshooting I decided to give up on changing the release sound. I decided to go for a vanilla explosion effect. The one I chose was for the Nord Battlecry. Just for testing, but it didn't work either. There was no sound what so ever, just the sound of the projectile, and the force effect still.

No, the only sound that you hear when I use the Lesser Powers are the sounds of the effects. Like how the force effect moves the dirt. Not the sound of the Ready, Charge, Release options. I don't have any other sound issues that I am aware of. All of the other sound effects trigger and play just fine. It seems like only the ones I am adding have the problem. Edit* Thanks for the response, I am at a loss. I have googled it to death, and really appreciate it.

It is fairly extensive and it might be difficult to include in the description. But if anyone has any ideas I would be more than happy to get you anything that you need. Thanks again!

Hey, guys! I am hoping this turns out to be a simple problem. Possibly something I am just doing wrong that I can correct. I have been attempting to make a bunch of custom lesser powers for a race. All of the abilities and lesser powers work perfectly. The assigned shaders, and projectiles etc... Are all working fine. However, it doesn't matter what type of item it is. Or which sound I assign to it. The sounds will not play when I cast the ability spell power what ever. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey, any moderators that may be around. I wasn't able to find a good way to contact anyone. So I thought I would come here. I uploaded a mod a couple of hours ago or so. But it is still stuck in Virus Check mode. If anyone could help get that straightened out for me I would be very grateful. That was exactly what I did, I just made absolute sure that all of the skse psc files went into the right source folder. I have no idea how I was getting that mixed up from the start. Once I put them where they were supposed to be. It was smooth sailing. Like I said I'm a little rusty lol I will get it together. -

You were 100% correct! For what ever reason this time when I installed the skse files. It compiled with no issues at all... Skyrim and the CK can be so weird sometimes. Thank you! Kudos -

The last time I had this issue reinstalling skse fixed it. This time it doesn't seem to help. I am going to try to find a way to get the same function without GetWeaponType at this point I have basically created an entirely new mod, with fresh scripts anyway. It's probably something that I have done, and I just don't remember to be honest. -

I will try again, I have reinstalled skse like five different times. I tried unpacking it in the folder, I tried the installer. I also tried manually placing every file. I even reinstalled the CK just in case. I appreciate your help. -

My error codes are: --- ERRORS --- _test3.psc(23,33): GetWeaponType is not a function or does not exist_test3.psc(23,49): cannot compare a none to a int (cast missing or types unrelated) I am mainly confused because this is the original .psc, I have been successfully using it in game. I have been away for a while... -

Hi, Ishara! I really appreciate your response. I will post the error codes as soon as possible. I have settled on Compiler Plus, it's the only thing I could find to even give me any error codes so far. It has been bouncing back and forth between different things. I completely understand what you mean about the .pex files. What's confusing me is that I tried to compile the original .psc file. Without any changes and it wouldn't compile. My assembler.exe will NOT let me open the .pex to see if I am missing something. I will be back soon with some info for you. -
Hi everyone, I am hoping that someone would be willing to help me compile this script. That I have compiled before mind you... I have tried everything, I have updated the Papyrus compiler, I have tried several independent compiler programs. I am not sure why it isn't working, I wanted to make a simple adjustment to a script value. But it wouldn't compile. After troubleshooting I realize that I can't even get the psc to compile again, even without the changes I made. I am leaning toward my script is wrong... The only thing is, the mod works fine. I have no issues with it in game.

Can anyone help me with changing the amount of gold that I give to the beggars and children. I can't seem to find what controls the amount, the only thing I can find that shows a relation to the beggar and the amount of gold. Is the (1 gold) part of the dialogue. Any help would be super duper.

Did you guys ever find any answers on this? I know this is a really old post, but I am having the same issue. I am able to edit any of the existing MT's. But after making a new one, I haven't been able to get any results. -
Hello all, I have another noob question for no one to read. I have made a new race, new movement type. How do I put the movement type onto the new race. I have already tried assigning the new movement type through the move data tab of the race. It didn't do anything. I have already made a new perk that adds a speed mult to the race, didn't like it. I want the walk and jog speed to remain the same. Only with a much faster sprint, if anybody can offer some links or advice. I would really appreciate it. Edit: I have also read the CK tutorials, and googled it etc.. etc... All I have found are a lot of the same questions, but no answers attached to them. Also I understand how to edit an existing movement type. Lillysdad2009
