  1. Instead of having to do the extra punch when they're on the ground, just gets a bit boringly formulaic after a while. Much rather a more streamline heavy punch on the fly to be responsible for a knock out, if that gets boring, at least it's less. One could also make a mod so all knock outs are civilianly easy, but I don't mind the quick time, I just wish the end of my effort there sealed the deal, more satisfying after a little back and forth. You could even have it be more difficult for higher ranks, oh this mechanic was so wasted on IO interactive, the things they could've done, like multiple opponents to make it like a dual takedown improvised or even grab a glass on a table what a waste. But that's just me. Anyway, thanks for reading.
  2. As it says in the title. This game used to make it very easy to perform its plethora of killmoves, now it's nearly impossible to do any but the ones from behind. Which is cowardly if I can't show I can deal with the front as well. I'm a viking after all. Basically, I want a mod where I can choose to do a finisher on anyone and everyone. Even when I'm on a higher level, which now guarantees no satisfaction. Killmoves are pretty much the only thing that make this remotely assassins creed like. I'd love to go around this lovely map, but so far the gameplay is so finely tuned to disappoint I just won't do it. If some modding hero can make this work, I can finally play the game. I reckon others may like the choice of cinematics too. Til then.
  3. This game has a plethora of killmoves. Really an enormous amount. And if I could use trainers alone to manipulate it so that I could do only that along with the other cool moves to make it as assassins creed it as it could be (rather than the witcher darksouls stuff they contrived into the franchise) then I would. Many of the other flaws would be glossed over effortlessly if I could get this sorted. But Ubisoft did something in an update apparently which made the stagger killmoves virtually impossible. So if a beautiful modder could have a look and tinker with the delicates, or tell me how to, I would finally be able to play the game the way I think is most gratifying. Walking around a stunning environment and then engage in combat which is actually fitting. And if we can go further and make a little killmove mod (like violens for skyrim) then those who want the witcher non animation stuff can, and I can use my fists on the giant saxons.
  4. I haven't a clue about what's possible to mod but I think this is possible so here goes; Could one edit the triggers in such a way as to have total and easy control over every kind of killmove available in the game? And at this point I should just say that by total control, I'll settle for just actually being able to do them all as this no longer seems to be the case. My biggest hang up about these RPG AC's was their hack and slash nature. It couldn't hold a candle to the old design's combat in terms of finishers. And yet Valhalla had a whole slew of animations as I found to my own delight on a YouTube video showcasing them all. Yet I couldn't do even half of them try as I certainly did. It turns out after someone asked the publisher of the video how to that he no longer could either. He posited that it was due to a new update of some sort that was responsible for simply nullifying the triggers. Which might be good news if it's just a small thing. It would be an odd update that would actually remove the files containing the animations. It's a pretty simple desire but it either makes or breaks the game for me. I'd really appreciate any insight into what would be involved in achieving this. I could forgive the game's numerous flaws if I could just get this sorted.
