  1. Hey there,

I use Vortex as a quick way to enable & disable mods that I am working on.

I noticed that my mod was active both in "Plugins" and in the "Mods" section. I figured this was bad & that I should use the "Plugins" section for my mods.

I went back to "mods" & selected "remove" thinking that it would just be "removed" from Vortex but remain in "Fallout 4/Data".

I believe that Vortex asked me if I wanted to delete the archive (which I said yes to, again assuming this would not alter my "Fallout 4/Data" folder.

Looking back at the ESP now located in Fallout 4/Data, it has been reverted to a "2020-12-26" version, meaning tons of my work has been lost?

I obviously did something wrong, but why would vortex even delete or change files in the "Fallout 4/Data" folder to begin with?

Also, how do I recover my .esp?

  2. Hey!

    Thanks for your reply!

I understand how that works, as I have made stand alone outfits before, however, the BGSM/JSON files for combat armor's don't exactly make sense to me.

For example, the combat armor chest JSON/BGSM file does not state anywhere what colour it uses from the palette.. if I read the file correctly, which confuses me.

That is kind of where I need clarification I suppose,

Once again, thanks for your reply

  3. Hello!

I am not new to modding in Bethesda games, however, I cannot for the life of me understand how Combat Armor is modified.

All I am seeking to do is, to find out the secret knowledge behind how to create replacing combat armor as well as stand alone combat armor.

I understand that Fallout 4 uses a palette system when it comes to colors. But how that works, I honestly don't understand, I've tried to rip apart the structure and make up of many mods from people on here, but it still hasn't given me any insight on how to do it.

Could someone link a tutorial (if there is one, and I have in that case missed it) or explain in laymans terms how the two things I am trying to do was done.

    Thanks a lot,

  4. Wowt thats awesome, I absolutely love the way its written! Really witty, so thank you for that! The only thing I emphasize is its very very pre-alpha state, there are more glitches than key combinations ;)

If you have any suggestions yourself after having reviewd the mod, please by all means send them to us!

I've already spotted a few issues from your screen pictures that I need to deal with! ;)

Again, thank you, I look forward to reading the rest! :D

  5. Hey

First i'd reccomend you watch this video, as it gives you a sort of overview of what modding armor entails:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTQEDM9zY5k

And, this one will go a bit deeper into detail of Meshes and Textures:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4KtDcpf3Lw

What I am assuming you are asking is how to change textures and meshes?

If so those videos should answer your question, if not, post and I'll try to help you some more!

    Cheers,

  6. Beastly, It will be fine, we are working very well together and its more a hobby project than anything. We have broken the mod down into "provinces" so it will be more managable. We love the mod so we are not likely to stop working on it anytime soon.

Thanks for your comment anyways, its not exactly what we wanted to hear, but it is true that we need to realize the huge complexity and scale of the work we have tried to do. We are determined to at least create something. Perhaps not all of WoW, but we want to make something out of it :)

  7. Neither did I, i have been checking the thread out almost daily, but i never saw page 2 :psyduck:

Anyways, MissSazira you have mail in your mailbox, zZzReMiiXzZz, you have messages on skype ;)

@AlduinWorldEater, I dont either, and should that day happen I am very happy to talk it out with them, theres always a solution. Hey, sometimes support and encouragement is all a modder needs! ;D

    Thanks guys!

  8. EnaiSiaion,

Havnt gotten one yet and we've been around for a while.

Were not claiming we are World of Warcraft, were just bringing the feeling back, were not making a 100% authentic copy even..

Plus our resources are our own.

If worst comes to worst we will just rename everything change the textures around and they have no claim.

As long as it stays a 100% free project we should in theory be okay!

  9. Haha,

Why hate it, it was a freaking brilliant game at one time, i truly think that it is one of the games where i have been most immersed in.

Granted i dont like WoW anymore since they patched the crap out of it, but hey, they cant cater to all players!

  10. Hey!

We definitly need help! I will contact you with further details as the mod progresses, we are currently trying to finish up Elwynn forrest and Duskwood so we can do a public release of them as an alpha. We will probably not use voice acting in the alpha, but definitly further on we have some things that we will use it for.

An example right of the bat is greetings, guards in WoW always had a greeting for you, and we would like to use it in our mod as well:

    Examples:

    "Greetings."

    "Hey, there."

    "You need something?"

"What can I do for you?"

    "Light be with you!"

    "Well met."

    "Hello!"

    "Good day to you!"

    "How are you?"

    "Light bless you."

    "King's honor friend."

    "Forget something?"

    "I'm kind of busy."

    "Quit it!"

    "What's your problem?"

    "Knock it off!"

    "You're getting on my nerves!"

Its a small easter egg, but we feel its better than just using regular skyrim guard dialouge to immerse you a bit better.

As i said, i will message you with further details as to how the mod progresses.

Thank you so much for offering to help us!

  11. Hey!

I have been a member of the nexus community since fallout 3. I have worked on a number of projects, some went well some have not!

Currently I am the lead designer in a huge project for Skyrim. I am trying to bring a "World of Warcraft" esque feeling to Skyrim. Essentially, I am re creating WoW in Skyrim using native Skyrim sources. All content we use in the mod is created by the authors of the Dev Team, OR, used with permission and credits from authors on the nexus websites.

The current dev team consists of me ( CelsiuZ ) and Hellscreamy.

We have been working on the mod together since shortly before christmas. Currently I am working on the province of Duskwood and Hellscreamy is developing Elwynn Forest.

I do the majority of Landscape creation, retexturing and other things inside of the creation kit.

Hellscreamy is extreamly talented when it comes to scripting, height map creation, npc creation, dialouge and various other similar things that I work with. He is also the current mesh creator for the mod.

As i said before we have gotten very far in our development of the mod and we are looking at releasing an alpha for the community to play around with while we continue to work with the other zones. As for current plans we want to finish all of the Eastern Kingdoms.

IF our team can be expanded we will attempt to create Durotaur and other continents as well.

Currently we have some factions set up, vendors, mobs, locations, dungeons and other misc things in place. Hellscreamy is also scripting some quests.

    We badly need help with:

Red and Bold text is something we need extremely much help with

Mesh creation & high quality texturing ( I am definitely not a pro in Photoshop)

Texturer - We have rudimentary textures in place, but i need someone with Photoshop skills to help make the textures of quality, this is our most needed addition right now.

Voice Acting ( at some point we want to add some voice acting)

Scripting (Hellscreamy is very talented in this, but he cannot devote all of his time for this)

Video/Trailer creation, we want a small trailer made for the mod for when we are about to release the beta.

Sound help, We would like to perhaps not compose from scratch, but we would like some custom sounds for the mod ( tavern replacements, ambient sounds etc)

Animation, We need help animating new races ( blood elfs, gnomes, dwarfs and ogres currently)

If you feel like you would like to see this mod end up completed and would like to offer your assistance in developing this mod, please do message me.

I check my message box everyday on the Nexus.

If you would like more information of the mod, please post below or as i said message!

  13. Ok so im currently creating a mod called "The Battlefield" I released Beta 3 yesterday in a frevent attempt to solve many bugs but it didnt work :wallbash:

    Link to mod: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/fil...11236&tab=3

So all my new textures dont show up in the mod, and i seriously do not know why?

I have included them in the zip. file on nexus, but i did change folder names within the .zip would this affect it?

Also i have one or two request questions ^^

Is it possible that someone could create some radio conversation between an H.Q and varius soldiers in the field(just as backround ambiance as one turns on the HAM radios in the bases ? Thank you!

    Also another similar request

A conversation between Air traffic control and fighterjets

And a civil ATC and civil planes?

I might need some guidance with the Navmesh Generating tool.. cuz induvidually doing the navmesh will take for AGES.. ^^

Thank you for reading this !
