Starfield on Vortex is downloading to a folder in something called "insertyournamehere" as per the following: <yournamehere> -> AppData -> Roaming -> Vortex -> Starfield -> Mods -> "mod name" (in my case, rather than <yournamehere> it is literally my name) - For additional explanation, I don't have a "User" named as me. It is another name. Problem is, you can't direct Vortex to find those mods in the <yournamehere> folder because it apparently DOES NOT EXIST or I cannot find it anywhere. I have three drives (C:, D:, E:). I have installed the game on D: I can navigate to D:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\Common\Starfield, but there is no Starfield.exe to click on. I have downloaded SFSE and THAT EXE is there, but where is the base Starfield.exe??? I've been modding Skyrim forever and never had this issue, so I'm completely at a loss.

Okay, so I apologize, Augusta. My misunderstanding... So, open SkyrimSE using the exe and click Windowed. Close it, open Vortex, click SKSE64 in Vortex and it will run in Windowed mode, yes? I'm sorry if I appear dense. Just want to make sure I'm actually comprehending what is being said. EDIT - I opened Skyrim via the SKSE64 button in Vortex after having clicked on the Windowed option via SkyrimSELauncher... It's not windowed... (by windowed, I mean I can still move my cursor while Skyrim is up - I run dual screens and want to be able to play on one and use the other as a regular screen at the same time). Again, I apologize if I'm not making myself clear. I'm not sure how it all works, so might be describing things incorrectly. EDIT2: I just opened the SkyrimSELauncher and double-checked that it shows as Windowed and Borderless - just to remove that from potential issues. Resolution is set at 1920x1080 (same as the full screen, but I can move it around and work with things behind it/click out to use other things). I hope this is making sense.

Not a fix. Soon as it loads, it tells you that you don't have SKSE loaded and therefore won't load most mods.

How can I set Vortex to load Skyrim SE in windowed mode? Everything I find assumes you are loading it via Steam and I use the Vortex SKSE launcher.

Hello all, I am running 249 mods at the moment and have been waiting through 20-30 second load times for nearly all transitions for a while and someone mentioned that it might be wise to take a look at my INI settings. Since I am relatively clueless when it comes to actual computer-speak, I was able to find a generic .ini in my Data folder, but am not sure where else I am supposed to be looking. There is a Papyrus.Util.Dev text document in my Skyrim folder but it is quite long and I don't want to waste space on this server. Can someone help? I have seen other posts where people looked at ini files and offered suggestions, so am hoping this might be the same. Thank you in advance!

Hey guys, I've been banging about with this for a while, deleted a bunch of old save game files, tried using Fallrim Tools and I STILL can't get Skyrim to stop playing the entry dialogue and sounds when changing cells (entering a tavern, for instance) and then waiting 20-30 seconds before you see the "spinning" icon and the scene actually loads. It's driving me NUTS. Can anyone suggest anything? 20-30 seconds isn't a big deal, but Skyrim requires so many cell changes that it can seem like forever... Helpful information: I am using an Intel i5-7400CPU @ 3.00GHz, 16.0GB RAM, 64-bit operating system, x64 based processor. Did Steam update today? My F4SE is saying that it's out of date all of a sudden... Runtime is now 1.10.138 instead of 1.10.130. If so, does anyone know how to back-date it using the Steam Console?

Why do you get the same radiation from eating pre-war foods when you make them from post-war supplies, given that "naturally-made, post-war" foods aren't supposed to give you rads? I imagine this is an in-game restriction, but why didn't they make a non-irradiated version for when you cook your own? I'd like to be able to use those Silt Beans for something other than Cram that gives me rads...

Just thought I'd throw in here that Vortex is not actually downloading anything when I click "Vortex" on the Nexus. I am forced to Manually Download each mod, which places it into my Downloads folder, from which I then move it to the Mods folder (which has been where Vortex placed it and I am only learning now is the wrong location, which was in the Game directory). It then detected the mod and allowed me to activate it. So all of this "managing a mod from birth to death" or whatever is being hinted at that Vortex is supposed to do is not how Vortex is working (at least for me). I've had to ask a bunch of questions and look like a complete moron on the forums because I was using NMM before and once I clicked "Download" and ran LOOT, everything (to coin a phrase) "just worked." So, Vortex isn't doing it's actual job and now that the Nexus defaults to Vortex, even if I wanted to use NMM, it tells me the mod will be "Served by Vortex" and just... sits there...

Visual aid is awesome! Thank you! Now, how do I get Bodyslide to find the outfits once Vortex has placed them in the mods folder? There are no body types or outfits at present!
